A Drama That Overcome a Stereotype

It's rare for me to enjoy watching historical (or colosal or traditional) Chinese (and Korean) drama, because it has too many episodes and long-dialogue, leads to boredom.

I started to find it interesting when I watched some clips from episodes 13 and 14. After that, I watched the full episodes until finish. Overall, I didn't find this drama that much boring although there are long dialogue, long-standing conflict between two families that led to war, and conflict between concubines and the wife. It is an unfortunate that there are few "missing links" in the story, that makes me as a viewer confusing. The story seems a bit lacking of clearance. But, I find this drama is beautiful, from the costumes, the soundtracks (like flowing of the river), the dialogue, the chemistry, and the potraying of emotions (especially love). Watching this also like solving a riddle: thrilling.

Taste in "My Little Happiness."

Like "Dating in the Kitchen", the trailers makes my curiousity up to the roof. I watched them few times.

Then, the wait has paid off. It's sweet because the romance, bickers, and wit between the two main leads. There are some scenes that makes me flutter. Then savory because this drama makes you want to repeat and repeat again. It's light, yet still have that weight because teaches you to rethink about value and relations in life (work, person that you love, and people around you). But, towards to end, it's pretty flat. Nevertheless, the acting was nice and I enjoy the soundtracks. As the title say, this drama is one of "My Little Happiness." Recommend to watch this drama when you need something fun and beautiful at the same time.

"Head Over Heels"

This drama's trailers were successful to "bait" me as a new one to Chinese drama.

I have to say, I am "head over heels" with this drama. There are some reasons into it. First, the main leads. They are attractive and charming at the same time. No wonder if the chemistry is there, although with such large age gap. Second, the comedy chop is not dissapointing. There are some points where I laughed. Third, a lot of the romance scenes gives me butterfly. Fourth, the story is nice enough. It is about love, life, and dream: but packed in a creative way. Fifth, the soundtracks are suitable enough to accompany those scenes.

Even though, it is a pity thing for me that the drama's editing is not good enough. There are few scenes edited awkwardly and there's a time when the duration difference is pretty big. Those "minutes" ought to fill up enough some story to tell. Regardless to that, it is positively recommended to watch for C-Drama viewers.
