I'm not a formalist. A spectacle doesn't have to have a regarded "excellent" form to be outstanding and delightful, but I do have preferences on the way of conveying narratives and cinematographic resources utilization that can result in a more compelling product as spectator. Technically, I regard weighty all the visual aspects, obviously, especially photography, but everything related like digital arts and overall edition. Also, sound and music, fundamental. And production and screenplay's quality.
Subjectively, I take into consideration the actors performance, coherence, suspension of disbelief, and overall feelings. Thus, I might give a seven or inferior due to details and quality aspects; nevertheless, in occasions I do not abide rigorously by the above and some of the shows rated that way are absolute filming jewels for me. In the same way, I can "overrate" some of them beyond the perceived technical slant because of the impact I received in the moment. I bit convoluted, maybe, however, those are my scales.
