This is the story of a love that's toxic and healing at the same time.
The plot is simpler than what I had imagined reading comments and reviews, but to understand it to the fullest you have to just focus on the movie and not overthink it. What's more important in this case it's not the story itself though, but how it is told through the shots. The cinematography it's absolutely stunning. The colours, the lightings, the backgrounds: drop dead gorgeous. Some of the scenes even look like paintings.
The music was absolutely perfect, and it added to the atmosphere. It was very strong and present, and I found it very fitted in general. I have to admit that I usually don't pay that much attention to soundtracks, so this was a very nice touch.
Even though the ending isn't exactly clear, I love the uncertainty about this movie, and that confusion left me completely satisfied.
The actors did such an amazing job, they portrayed the sadness and emptiness of the characters perfectly.
To sum it up, this felt really strange and unexpected, kind of like a hindi/alternative movie, but in the best way. I really like it!
10/10 would recommend.

My thoughts about the characters:
Sawako is such a cute girl, I have to admit that at first I found the fact that she couldn't stand up for herself kinda annoying and frustrating, but luckily we see her grow a lot trough the movie, and at the end she becomes a new person, much stronger and happier.
Chizuru and Ayane are amazing friends, and I love how much they value their relationship with Sawako. Their friendship is definitely one of the best.
And about Kazehaya... don't even get me started on him! He's soooo nice and kind and handsome! I swear, it's not even humanly possible to be that nice, he must be an angel! I love the fact that he really cares about others and that he's thoughtful, which sets him apart from the usual "bad boy" from other rom coms.
A few things that I would have changed/added:
- the relationship between Chizu and Ryu (I would have loved it if they had ended up together)
- in my opinion Pin is a bit strange: he really didn't act as a teacher
- the ending (not that it was bad, it just missed a certain thing)
Other then that, I didn't find any flaws in this movie. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a light and sweet love story with an happy ending.

PLOT
The plot is simple: girl has a secret crush on boy, other boy has a (not so secret) crush on her. The famous love triangle. But the story gets much more complicated than this and it often leaves you surprised as this movie has some really good plot-twists. At times I even found it too fast-faced: in some scenes I was confused and didn't really understand what was going on. But don't worry, everything becomes clear just after a bit.
CHARACTERS:
Kairi was my favorite: so genuinely nice and thoughtful behind his clown-of-the-class appearance. He comes from a troubled family situation, with his mom being absent (dead I suppose?) and his dad being disappointed by him, and I'm glad he didn't get affected by this becoming a "bad boy", which is usually what happens in movies and dramas similar to this. Also I really enjoyed the fact that his dream is to become a pastry chef, which is something I had never seen before.
Honestly, I don't have much to say about the other characters: Adachi was nice but nothing special, same goes for Toji, who's definetly attractive but not so exciting. Last, Sae: soooo annoying and the perfect villain, the classic "mean girl". I hated how kind Adachi was to her despite the amount of bad things her so-called-friend had done to her, but I can turn a blind eye on that since Sae got her redemption at the end and became a better person.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
Overall I found it a very sweet and cute love story, definitely enjoyable. This will leave you with a smile on your face and it'll make you feel cuddly inside. Would recommend!
(Just keep in mind that this isn't a masterpiece but just a simple fluffy movie and that sometimes it can get a bit cringey)

I was pretty disappointed with this movie: the plot, cinematography and actors were great, but the main character was so annoying and obnoxious. Seung Min is described during the movie as the "nice guy" but, even though in some scenes he was quite cute and sweet, he turned out to be a weak, self - centred guy who lacks values. He was so obsessed by the fear of not being loved, that he threw away the chances he had to actually be in a relationship with his love. He literally only cared about the fact that he was heartbtoken, even though he broke Seo Yeonat's heart himself. I feel like he also blamed her when she was actually just the victim: for example when he left her alone, in front of her house, with that other guy (I don't remember his name lol, but he was the bratty one) when it was obvious that she was drunk and unconscious and that her schoolmate didn't have good intentions at all. I mean, I really don't understand why in his head the fact that she was gonna be raped meant that she loved that guy and not him! I wanted to scream at him the entire scene! He even kissed Seo Yeonat himself while she was sleeping, without asking for her consent, which I strongly believe is always necessary. And let's not forget the part in which he cut her off completely for his life. How was that okay? How?? I also want to point out that when the two of them (finally, but also wrongly) kisssed, Seung Min was engaged, and that his soon-to-be wife never got to know about that episode. Despite all these flaws, I still found this movie enjoying and entertaining because of some great scenes. The architecture parts were also quite interesting. Not sure that I would recommend it, but it wasn't terrible.
