I thought I was done crying after Ep 7 (when Su-cheol died). But no, here in Ep 8, I nearly bawled my eyes out when Sang-gu saw all those shoes his brother bought for him and realized he wasn’t abandoned by his older brother, but he kept looking for him.

This is the series' "BL episode." It is also the "turning point" episode - wherein we see Uncle soften up in regard to his relationship with his nephew GEU-RU and appreciation of things/people that are "different."

QUESTIONS / OBSERVATIONS while watching Ep 2:1. Actor EARTH (“Uncle Jim”) looks like he lost weight.2. WEN seriously applied for a menial job? What job does he have that he can just leave? Didn’t he have an ID – so it means he’s employed somewhere?3. The household of a corrupt policeman has no maid or a bodyguard at all? Do they really leave their only child (HEART, who is deaf-mute) alone? How’s his education? Can’t they afford a tutor? Do they leave him at home to stagnate?4. LI MING does housework at HEART’s household while in school uniform? He did that TWICE in this episode (first the white school uniform, then the colored uniform). 5. PRAEW (pregnant) looks much older than LENG, so I checked. LENG (actor: MARK) is 24, PRAEW (actress VIEW) is 20. She just looks older but is actually 4 years younger than LENG.6. Now we know WEN works as a store display designer/arranger? So, it’s not a regular (9 to 5) job, right? But he must work mostly at night – when malls are closed – so shouldn’t that conflict with his part-time job at Uncle JIM’s eatery?7. In the episode end convo, WEN says he doesn’t have a “someone.” But in his Ep 1 convo with his friend GONG (and the note someone left on his home fridge), it seems like he is in a relationship right now. So, I guess we’ll know in the next eps.8. JIM tells WEN: “Don’t waste your time on me,” yet HE wastes his time by waiting for WEN and buying him beer. Practice what you preach, sir! =)9. PRODUCT PLACEMENTS SO FAR: That ubiquitous Full Moon beer and the cat food). At least the placements are quite subtle here.=)=)

This (Episode 7) made me shed tears. Ep 5 was very moving, but THIS one made me cry, and I couldn’t help it. Su-Cheol’s death was more devastating than the doctor’s death because he was close to Sang-Gu, our lead character. If Episode 5 is what I call the “BL Episode,” this one (Ep 7), I’ll call the “Bromance Episode.”

This is by far the funniest episode of this series. I literally laughed out loud (couldn’t help it, really) during that talent search segment. Superb comedic talents from the cast.

I hated Ms Cho here. But I’m sure in the next episodes, she’ll realize she really loves Mr. Wu and will go to his farm and do some plowing or something to prove her love. Lol The actor who plays DANIEL KING (the artist/painter), is he also FATHER OLIVER in YOUR NAME ENGRAVED HEREIN? They look the same. I searched high and low but can’t find any info on him. Anyone, please? Thanks! =)

EPISODE 11To be honest, in this episode, I’m shipping Yan Fei with her ex-husband Yung Tai. At the company party, Yung Tai didn’t do anything wrong, yet both Yan Fei and Hsuan Yu treated him badly. That champagne incident is just ugh, so rude and impolite! The flashback about the marriage proposal (with that painting titled “Cyan”) is just soooo romantic. It was followed by another flashback with another Daniel King painting titled “Magenta.” Also, Yan Fei’s mother cheering Hsuan Yu is so out of character! That is NOT HER at all!In all honesty, other than shipping Yan Fei with her husband, I’m also shipping Hsuan Yu with Mark!!! They will look good together. I swear!
