The episode is mid but it will work for light and easy to watch.

I tend to watch Chinese shows if I'm looking for something light and airy, and they have a lot of shows like this. It's just that I wish the writing was tighter with less filler. The number of long camera shots and information that can be skipped is honestly ridiculous. The entire episode was basically filler and the situation is being built really slowly. I'm going to accept that. The female lead has this look of disgust that irritates me. Her two major expressions so far are that look of disgust and the innocent look. The problem is that there are situations that don't call for a look that disgusted, or instead of disgust, a look that shows that the character is offended or feeling pensive. The look is not good. I've never liked male leads that are genuinely just jerks. It's okay to keep to yourself but there's a way to go about it. For example, when the FL accidentally took his tray in the cafeteria, he could just have said so. But no, saying nothing with that condescending and annoyed look was the way to go. When he was taking a shower and his classmate was bothering him, he simply should have said he wasn't interested in talking to him. Yet, he let him keep talking to create the impression that he was talking to himself. No, my guy. If you just tell someone else you don't want to talk, then they'll leave you alone. Ignoring him makes him a jerk and it's not cool. It's just gross. Writing the male lead like this makes him unlikeable. What on earth can make such a person attractive? I'm wondering if there will be some redeeming characteristic that makes it better, but I doubt it. It's not an issue in itself that they were going for an unlikeable male lead, the issue arises from the portrayal of the character. It seems that he is seen as "cool" or should be seen as somehow "cool" by his classmates and the viewers. The editing makes that argument even though the dialogue doesn't and it's irritating. This sort of writing, of a truly inconsiderate and childish jerk male lead, is out of style because, in reality, it is actually a ridiculous attitude. The show was written in 2022 so it's a let-down that it was written like this. Of course, you could argue that there's no backstory yet for his attitude but if there is then I consider it a failing in production because then there should be a sense of humanity in the character early on when he is alone at least. But there is none. His eyes are giving robot, arrogant and condescending. Still, it seems that it will fit the purpose of why I picked it. Which is light and easy to watch, not because the story is light but because the writing doesn't do it enough justice to make it harder to watch. I think the entire story will be interesting and heart-tugging (hopefully) but the individual episode quality will not be great.

This is crazy ?

?the tension is driving me crazy????????the looks, the dialogue, this is insanity?it’s so good right now I don’t know if the writers can keep this up because I wasn’t expecting this but it’s been pretty good since episode 3. Things are coming together nicely and lots of strings are being pulled. I still don’t know exactly where Hee Soo wants to go with all this. She obviously still has feelings for him so how will she bring him down? And considering the synopsis I wonder if she can? And if she can’t what does she do with all the people she has promised revenge? What happened with the Queen Dowager today was absolute chefs kiss. It was like watching real life chess. I loved it! But I was so surprised; the Queen is so frail and afraid. What has she seen the King do that the thought of upsetting him has her in such an awful fix? It’s really sad. How could they let themselves get caught by the King in an hug of all things. The King is nearly obsessed with her. It’s almost creepy but it’s so well acted and convincing gosh. Also Court Lady Dong is certainly jealous. I cannot believe she even has the audacity to be jealous but that means the fire is only going to get hotter for Hee Soo and us. There’s real life tension in the air? It’s crazy (good)

Super funny

A super funny episode. Their dynamic is just super funny. Jeonghan thinks up the most ridiculous bets and everyone just goes with it ? they make so much good looking food and eat so well. From the first minutes of the episode I was laughing. DK blackmailing Hoshi into going in the water with him was hilarious. Seungkwan’s morning bad luck needs to be studied lol. Hoshi was in his own world, filming a music video all by himself with the drone. The talk about the small connections they have with carats sometimes was heartwarming too. It’s a lovely and fun episode.

Healing

I love to see how differently each of them spends their free time. While watching them enjoy their hobbies, I was reminded that there’s more to life than work and social media. There’s rest, enjoying hobbies in a healthy way and sentimental discussions

I love you

Everything about this episode was cute, chill, fun and heartwarmingly thoughtful (that's the summary of In The soop tbh) but it was the drunken "I love you "s for me. The delivery of it was funny also. In both instances (I won't say which member in case you consider it a spoiler) the I love you was met with a mumbled reply and that was met with a " Why won't you say it back?" then an actual reply then and "are you sure" and a "yes" then an "okay". That was straight out of a drama I tell you. It was so funny but I thought my heart would burst from cuteness lol. It was a fun episode with a lot of karaoke, love confessions and crazy gyming.
