Light, fun, cute romance.
There is no mistaking that romance is one of the most popular genres of drama, and sometimes romance dramas can be flat where they primarily focus on the romance and the rest of the drama falls flat. This is a drama where the romance is perfectly executed, and the storyline is well balanced throughout all the episodes so you rarely feel bored. The concept of the drama itself is relatively unique, with an angel looking to find love for a bitter ballerina.
In this drama, the strength and wealth of the female character matched with the humour and carefree spirit of the male lead is a good refresh from the usual stereotype of a strong male and weaker female lead. Both Kim Myungsoo and Shin Hye Sun fantastically portray their characters, truly making you engage and enjoy the storyline. Kim Myungsoo is effective at making Kim Dan a lively angel, with a good amount of comedy sprinkled into his acting, helping to keep the drama lighthearted and fun. The two have a very good dynamic together, which helps to make the drama more believable and satisfying to watch.
The chemistry between the two builds throughout the 32 episodes, without leaving areas where there is a lull in the storyline where it can begin to get boring as I often find in other romance dramas. As a romance drama, their effective and engaging chemistry takes the forefront of the story, however there are many different elements and other storylines which can keep you engaged. There is a good balance between the sub storylines, which add in some suspense and intrigue .
To conclude, the leads in the drama have fantastic chemistry, and the storyline has a good balance of a variety of different elements, such as romance and suspense.

A lighthearted, no pressure drama.
Police and detective dramas are things that are often explored in dramas, and either have a main concept which is quite dark and gritty, or they go the other way and are lighthearted dramas, good for casual viewing. This drama is more so of the latter, with a rougher, grittier storyline dotted throughout.Personally, I enjoyed this drama as a light watch, with less pressure to focus on the technicalities. From the offset, the main male lead of the drama decides to follow a Police route, due to the fact the girl he has a crush on aims to go for that career. This helps to make the drama slightly less serious, and potentially make it more likeable and relatable as not everyone at that age is going to know which career path to go through.
Throughout the drama, relationships between all the characters are developed in an easy to watch way, adding some depth into the characters and making it easier to understand and relate to the characters.
Although the primary focus of the drama seems to be on the relationships built in the Police University, a secondary storyline which has slightly more grit and a darker stance helps to give the drama a bit more depth, and is the primary reason this is a drama worth finishing to the end. However, it is also one of the reasons this drama lacks. The darker element of the drama seems to be teased throughout the drama, but doesn't necessarily take centre stage. This leaves you with a feeling of wanting a little more, but it never really meets those expectations and seems to calm down whenever the storyline seems to pick up.
This drama is good for casual viewing, and essentially has some lost potential from the sub storyline they neglected slightly.

Good storyline, confusing execution.
Alice is a drama which explores time travel in a new, but potentially confusing way.At the offset of the drama, it seems quite promising and there are many elements which are intriguing and entice you to keep on watching. The beginning of the drama introduces you early on to the struggles of the main character, and the struggles and experiences he has had in his life to lead him to career of a detective.
Joo Won does an effective job at expressing his characters and emotions (or potentially lack of), and embracing the background of the character to effectively show his yearning to find his mothers killer. Although the characters have been built up well, it soon becomes apparent that the concept is potentially one that is very difficult to execute in the form of a drama.
Similar to most time travel dramas, there are many unexplained elements and storylines which can quickly begin to confuse the watcher. Thus, the drama becomes difficult to watch, are there are simply too many intricacies in the drama, which all seem to intertwine together without much explanation on the what, how or who. Essentially, the further the drama continued, the deeper they seemed to get into a hole, without so much as a spade to dig themselves out.
Despite the amount of inaccuracies and confusion, there is still an element of intrigue which compels you to continue watching and get the closure that is so very much needed in this drama. Unfortunately, even when the drama is finished you are left with many questions, and can still be very confused.
Controversially, there are some moments between Kim Hee Sun's character and Park Jin Gyum which bring in some romantic chemistry. As the relationship between the two are of mother and son, at times it was slightly uncomfortable to watch - despite the fact that this doesn't seem to be the intention.
This drama does have some elements which make it a very intriguing watch, and you can easily finish the drama very quickly due to the areas of tension and the effective acting, however you find yourself disappointed when you have finished it.

Well executed, thoughtful drama.
This drama, like many others, explores the idea of the afterlife and what happens to people when they pass away. Although a popular concept, I think this drama gives a different perspective and feeling from other dramas - instead of a 'Grimm Reaper' like figure collecting souls, the idea is instead that it is ordinary people. The 'Counters' referred to in the drama are ordinary people, and they all have different experiences of life, not to mention that they are of different ages. This brings an effective and engaging dynamic as it is not simply a 'school' drama, although the main character is of a school age.
The writers and actors have done a good job of maintaining chemistry throughout the drama, which makes it a nice easy watch, although there are some darker areas of the drama which help to give it a bit more depth.
One thing I would say about the drama is it brings in the concept of one main character who is the 'hero' and essentially more special/gifted/important than other characters, which I think is potentially an idea that has been overused in modern media.

Great Drama - Cute
I binged all the episodes that were out, and then rewatched some before it even finished.I think this drama is really good and really cute and I love the leads characters.
Pay no attention to the description here though, it’s completely wrong and inaccurate.
In short, he’s in university & loves to game - and excels in this profession. He has a crush on a celebrity singer
Said celebrity singer needs to learn how to play the game; and thus ends up getting his coaching - but she never lets him know her identity.
The two basically end up getting to know each other online through games first
