Hye Seon gave justice to the role. Best casting choice.
GOD no wonder Hye Seon was nominated (although it is much better if she won). Honestly, this is the genre I love watching Shin Hye Seon. She got a wide range of acting capabilities, but I like her best in female-lead dramas or movies. Though she still got limited filmography yet, she always outshines her previous works. She got the aura that easily captures the viewers. I bet if she will eventually be paired with a male who has a weaker personality, Hye Seon would probably eat him up. Lol.Regarding the story, that's where I gave the movie an imperfect score. I think I need to rewatch the movie to totally grasp the strategy employed in the trial (sorry I know I might be looking for something technical, but maybe as a producer, they must at least deliver even the simplest, correct procedure). I was just confused how the case shifted to another murder suspect in the same case being heard. But I think it was just wise to shift the 'blame?' to another. Nevertheless. they still had circumstantial evidence (meaning weak case) for the prosecution, making it easy to refute.
Overall, the execution of the cast, especially Hye Seon, is really good. Hats off.

THANK god I found this to alleviate me from my slump
I THINK that the best dramas that could satisfy you are those which came in randomly. This is definitely true. I only knew this drama because of the random ad by Iqiyi and just casually decided to watch. Men, I can't get off the drama after episode 1! Now that's how you get your viewers!
The casts are perfect, I really love the story (and the twists, of course!) So generally, the plot can be divided into two parts, episodes 24 below and episodes 25 above. For me, I really, really like the second part. The way they weaseled the 'return' of FangNing, I love that.
I'm not used in watching dramas of more than 20 episodes, but surprisingly, I finished this in 4 days. Lol. Once you start, you really can't get off.
Maybe I easily fell into the story because the cliche story of contract marriage broke my monotonous drama watchlist theme of crime-thriller. It's good to be back at watching romance, lol.
Lastly: I just want to mention that I found my new favorite person, it's Zhou YuTong

I enjoyed, the casts were amazing with their roles.
I hyped this drama too much? I really looked forward to this since it's been a while after YeJi's last drama. I was really okay with writer MunYoung, I love the side stories in every episode (especially the early ones). But I guess they lost track with the real plot of MunYoung's mom towards the end? I can't really say that it was rushed, but definitely not the Mom story I was expecting. I mean the depth, I was looking for something in depth with MunYoung's mom and how she turned out to be such.Anyway, I guess they decided to focus more on the 'lovestory arc' with GangTae. With such, I guess that's where some 'explanatory time' for MunYoung's mom were lost. If everyone's gotten into the ship with MunYoung and GangTae, I'm totally fine with it. Just that I'm the type who wouldn't expect much from MunYoung-GangTae cause it was really established since the start that they will end up with each other no matter what. I was just really curious with the plot and circumstances leading to their healing. Saying that, I looked for much more meat in the psychology part of the plot.
But don't get me wrong, everyone did amazing, especially SangTae (Oh Jung Se)!

Female lead with the setting on the world of gangsters and murderers.
Do not expect that you will be given an ending that is different. Most comment about how predictable the story was. Of course it was predictable, the plot has been so open and clear about the relationship of Choi Mujin and Yoon Ji Woo. What this drama aims is to show how Ji Woo endured everything and why she chose to do what she did in the ending.Everything is about trust. The Organization was established and lasted for years because of the loyalty of the members, bringing in the picture of Yoon Donghoon. Donghoon stayed with the police even though Mujin showed unwavering loyalty. That was the moment the trust was shattered between Mujin and Donghoon, someone died.
Then enter Yoon Ji Woo. Ji Woo trusted Mujin, but this time, it was Mujin who used and confused Ji Woo. Another trust was shattered, leading to the ultimate death.
In the last episode, Mujin mentioned that Donghoon was meant to be a prey. He hesistated to kill Mujin even though he has a lot of chances to do so. But if we look at it overall, Mujin, who was once a predator, became a prey in the presence of Ji Woo. It was also his hesitation to dispose and kill Ji Woo that led him to his death in the hands of Ji Woo. Both cases have similarities. Donghoon hoped to reform Mujin by eventually bringing him in the hands of the law, which can be mirrored to Mujin wishing for Ji Woo to turn her back from the police and execute her revenge in the way the organization does things.
I still kept on coming back to My Name. It's rare for me to rewatch a drama, but you would appreciate My Name the most after rewatch. There are things that you might have missed the first time probably because you are not yet familiar with all the characters. Another beauty of rewatching would be noticing the hints and clues dropped in every episode about their fate, which didn't mean anything at first watch.
Lastly, this is probably the best performance of So Hee, she is just so tailored for action.

Never have I watched a Kdrama to have tackled issues in its plot head on. I mean, those are sensitive issues and it is no joke if you include those in the story.
If you are looking for a cheesy romantic drama, skip this because the story means real business in showing issues of the society.
I love how the writer could inject humor to maintain the "happy mood" of the story, while sticking in its story about problems and issues.
I really love the dialogues and realizations, that is why I made a special review just for this drama.
Hope that a lot more people could appreaciate this kind of story.

Done!
Finally finally finally finished this!I was actually following this story while it was airing, but I had to go offline for a while.
I know the last 5 episodes felt quite rushed, but I am happy to watch the episodes where I resumed better than I expected.
I was actually bracing my self for the worst of Jung Ji Eun (Ji Ho's ex-wife), but her character quite floated well.
As for Hae Jin, from the most annoying 2ML to the Saint of all Saints. Lol. I know I hated the character so much, but they gave him a super anti-climactic ending.
Same with Gwang Nam's. Gosh he did not deserve that ending. My very kind boy Gwang Nam.
On Madam Yoo's, it was quite expected, but at least it still gave me a little, tiny, bit of surprise there. Well the revelation on Sang Eun's part was for convenience, I guess.
Anyway, I didn't really expect this to be over the top drama, I just like this kind to pass time, or to entertain, cause I admit, the main leads' chemistry was second to none!

Rewatching really made me understand the story
I almost forgot W was still tagged as Romance after all, so it should really end with Chul and Yeon Joo. I was too stoked for understanding the travelling of the characters between the two worlds lol. But, I just appreciate how they cleaned up the ending of Chul's world, I really like the touch with paradox.
"Contrary to how the webtoon was ended, it was not really a sad ending." Oh Sang Moo was the true genius at this point. He literally cut the ties of the portal between the two worlds by neatly concluding his masterpiece-W.
He also did not break the laws of the two worlds because in exchange of Chul's real life existence, he made use of his webtoon existence as the killer—and ceased as a real world Oh Sang Moo.
Lastly, the paradox I was saying that I like, was about how the plot falls to its ending the moment the villains cease. That's why Oh Sang Moo has to kill Han Cheol Ho to resolve the conflict of the story. Beautiful touch for showing a plot's denouement.
So in the end, the story finale of W in the real world was like Oh Sang Moo's gift to Yeon Joo. Neat.
PS. I've seen this already a few years back, but it confused the hell out of me. It's just now that I decided to rewatch the series that I totally understood the "science" of the two worlds.

Cute, light, and relaxing genre
Very nice if you wanted a title to watch just to relax. No hard antagonist, everyone was justified. Watch this if you do not want to hate on any character. Or watch this if you're not looking for a story to dwell on.Surprise, surprise. The story isn't bad at all! I was hesitant to watch this while it was airing because first, I'm not so fund of idol actors, second, there are a lot of comments saying it only glorifies plastic surgery. There are actually several societal issues taken up, mostly on the beauty standards imposed by the society.
But I'm surprised I find the couple cute! There are some times that I would just fast forward because the run seems slow (I think the story could well be done for 12 eps), but it's okay. Nice story to watch especially after a long, busy, mind-recking day, you could just quite relax while watching the series.
Most favorite character: Eun
Most relatable character: Mi Rae
Man of the hour: Woo Young
Best best person: Hyun Jung

"Weeklong romance"
The casts did well. If you are looking for romance, this isn't the film for you. The movie explores some ordinary scenario of Filipinos living abroad. They leave home, misses it, had a glimpse of the old home (through the people they meet), succumbs to temptation, but in the end, faces reality. For me, Majhoy did not really feel the 'romantic emotion', but more on the feeling of missing her old home, the Philippines. She met Nico, reminisced the Filipino tradition, the Filipino hospitality, the Filipino bond. Nico had mistaken the giddiness of Majhoy everytime they are together as love. However, the reality is that: Since the start, Majhoy had chosen her future, her life, and that is in Faroe.Overall, the movie depicts the truest, most realistic scenarios in such circumstances.

I'm currently watching this because I wanted to lighten the mood as I watch Save Me. I chose this genre because I really love Go Back Couple, and Familiar Wife is listed in the recommendations. I think I set a high expectation on Familiar Wife because of the warm feeling GBC gave me. I'm really into family dramas that promote strengthening of family ties. Of course I will always root for Seo Woo Jin as she is the original wife, however I feel uncomfortable in Joo Hyuk's second life. Technically, in his second life, it is Hye Won he must be loyal to. The travelling back in time made everything different. I have nothing against Joo Hyuk, actually I like it when his character develops and realizes his mistakes, but I do not like the situation he is in the second life. The story makes Woo Jin a mistress, in that sense. Some might say that even Hye Won seems to be adulterous because she is falling for the college guy, however, we didn't have a clear background of who Hye Won is in Joo Hyuk's first life. But let's see, I'm still at episode 7. I'm soo confused right now, like I feel it's not right.
I'll be back editing this if things go smoothly and will give me a major turn of events.
Update 1: I finished until episode 8. I must say, the difference between GBC and Familiar Wife is the time capsule element. In GBC, the main goal is to revisit and rekindle the memories that bonded the couple, that is why both Husband and Wife returned in time with their memories. It aimed to let the couple realize where and when did things go wrong and fix it from there. By the half of GBC, you could sense that the time travelling miracle happened in order for the wife and the husband to get back on their life as a couple.
In Familiar Wife, it is only the husband who retained the memories, while giving the wife little hints to have the familiar feeling towards her husband. By episode 8, I could sense that it is the wife who really loved the husband. The reason maybe that only the husband has his old memories is to teach the husband the importance of his wife. As I observed, never did the 1st wife mention to her husband about divorce, meaning the wife still believes in their marriage. Therefore, the back in time miracle is really for the husband. Sadly, it seems hard for the husband to go back in time again and make everything as it is in the original.

Hope they could make a sequel
It is so rare to find a movie or drama without any romance, glad this one stayed 'til the end. No accidental pairing, no forced romances. The actors did quite well, it was just that some parts of the writings were confusing. It felt like they can't decide who between Hyo Jin or Joon Yeol as lead should be given more weight to pull the story to the end.
Ang Jong Suk was incredible, though I still can't see him as an antagonist, having seen most of his works as the good guy haha
But I guess the shortcomings were some sort of a trade-off in making this concept a movie. I guess it could have been properly addressed if this was plotted as a drama. I enjoyed it, nevertheless. The rush and the thrill of car racing were perfect in here.
