I am back with another one of the Ultra Fan Guide. Let me tell you an interesting thing. I came to know about him from my sister, who is also a K-Drama fanatic like me. She kept on telling me to watch Penthouse repeatedly, but I was reluctant to watch it because of my Instagram feeds. Fans of the drama kept on telling me or posting about how frustrating the storyline was. At the same time, it was amazing. I kept on delaying even after I promised her I would watch it. After a lot of deliberation, I started watching, and what happened after that was history. Instantly, I fell in love with Kim Young Dae’s character, Joo Seok Hoon. His portrayal, delivery, and action made me swoon all over him. Honestly, his character is one of the most liked characters in the drama.

Kim Young Dae, born in Seoul, South Korea, is a South Korean model and actor. He attended Fudan University but dropped out before graduating. After dropping out, he enrolled in the Model department digital Seoul Cultural Arts University. He started his career as a model in the Fashion Industry.
Debut
After playing many roles in web dramas like Office Watch 2, Just Too Bored and It's Okay To Be Sensitive, he made his television debut through the KBS2’s drama special The Time Left Between Us. He played many minor roles in different dramas before landing his first lead role in the MBC Drama Extraordinary You. Then he appeared in the Jtbc drama When The Weather Is Fine.
Breakthrough
His breakthrough role was in the drama Cheat On Me, If You Can, for which he won the Netizen Award at the KBS Drama Awards. The netizens well-received his role, helping his rise in popularity. His popularity showed a further rise when he took on the role of Joo Seok Hoon in the SBS drama The Penthouse: War In Life. His role as Seok Hoon was well-received both domestically and internationally. The netizens also appreciated his chemistry with the co-star Kim Hyun Soo playing the love interest of his character. He reprised his role as Seok Hoon in both the sequels of the drama, The Penthouse 2: War In Life and The Penthouse 3: War in Life.
Future Projects
He is rumored to take the role of Gong Tae Sung in the drama Shooting Stars alongside Lee Sung Kyung.
