It has taken me watching a dozen horror movies to realise that horror movies have tiny categories of their own. For example, there is the ‘Serious horror’ category, where the movies are purely intended to be scary. Then, there is the | ‘Comedic horror’ category, where even though there are ghosts running around, you’ll be laughing more than jumping off of your sofa. The ‘Narrative horror’ category is centred on the story-line and moral values. | And finally, there is the ‘Trash horror’ category, which focuses on jump-scares with shallow plot-lines. This recommendation list will contain movies that fall in most if not all of these categories. I hope you enjoy it! |
