Rowoon and Cho Yi Hyun's "The Matchmakers" Premieres Today + New Stills Unveiled

The wait for KBS 2TV's new historical comedy, The Matchmakers, ends today. 

The Matchmakers tells the story of a widower and a widow teaming up to pair singles.

In the recently-released still cuts, Rowoon (Extraordinary You, Tomorrow, Destined with You) and Cho Yi Hyun (School 2021, All of Us Are Dead), who play the roles of the leads Shim Jung Woo and Jung Soon Deok, respectively, are shown caught up in an unanticipated situation. 

The Matchmakers promises to be a one-of-a-kind rom-com, seamlessly blending genres. Starring a talented ensemble cast including Rowoon, Cho Yi Hyun, Jo Han Chul, Park Ji Young, Lee Hae Young, Jung Shin Hye, Park Ji Won, Choi Hee Jin, Jin Hee Kyung,  Seo Jin Won, Jung Seung Kil, and Lee Soon Won, among others, this historical rom-com is bound to exude its own distinctive artistic charm.

The production team asks for the viewers' anticipation for the premiere of The Matchmakers. They describe the show as "a drama free from biases, nonsense, and unnecessary confusion."

Hwang Seung Gi is the K-drama's director, and Sell Your Haunted House screenwriter Ha Soo Jin pens the screenplay. 

The Matchmakers premieres today (October 30). Global audiences can stream the K-drama on Viki.
