The first still cuts of actress Roh Jeong Eui from Channel A's upcoming Saturday-Sunday drama The Witch have been released.

The Witch follows Dong Jin (Park Jin Young), who strives to uncover the truth behind the bad luck surrounding Mi Jung (Roh Jeong Eui), a woman labeled as a witch. Mi Jung is a woman who has cut herself off from the world due to the mysterious misfortunes that follow her wherever she goes.

The K-drama is an adaptation of the popular webtoon "Witch" by Kang Full. Director Kim Tae Gyoon takes the helm of this project.

Actress Roh Jeong Eui plays Mi Jung, a mysterious woman who others call a witch. As revealed in the first teaserwhere Mi Jung admits, "Since I was young, strange things have often happened around me," misfortune follows her everywhere, as every man who likes her ends up injured or dead. This leads to rumors and she is branded as a witch, driving her to live in seclusion, hiding away from the world.

The still cuts portray Mi Jung as a young woman overshadowed by darkness and despair. Her face, which should be shining in the prime of life, is instead clouded with gloom. Wearing a hat and dressed entirely in black, her appearance seems to serve as a warning to others to stay away.

Director Kim Tae Gyoon shared, "When the casting meeting with Roh Jeong Eui was scheduled, it felt as if Mi Jung herself was walking in. From the test shoot itself, she immersed herself in the role, and not just me, but the entire staff exclaimed, 'It's Mi Jung!' It was that real."

The Witch premieres on February 15. News about the K-drama's global OTT platform is yet to come.
