Review: While I was watching this 12 episode drama, I believe that it was interesting. This drama contains many stories. The stories told are relatable and the regrets that the humans make are sad. They try to help others through dreams. The ending though is quite surprising. As the story evolves, I am shocked by the ending. Although it was sad, it had a happy ending!
Opinion: I see that this drama has not that many viewers, and I hope that this article makes you want to watch it! It is very fun and exciting to explore new genres every day!
Strengths/Weaknesses: I will say this drama has a lot of strengths. Strengths in the way they show the improvement of others. It's not like they volunteered to do it, they are forced to in order to live a better life. This drama is one of the few 12 episode dramas I have seen that were actually pretty good. A weakness of this drama is the confusing ending. Even if they met, would they continue to do the same job? With the way it ended, this show will probably not have a season 2 but all in all, it was good as is. There were times that I would zone out or stop watching this show, but when I finished it I was in awe.
Characters: I really liked the characters but, as you know there is always one person who ruins things. And that character is Kim Won Hyung, the old pal, who was getting revenge. There were parts of the drama that were funny and there was laughter, but there were also sad scenes. I am glad that Wol Joo, Chef Gwi, and Han Kang Bae were able to help others through the "dreams". Each character had their own personality and the casting was great!
Han Kang Bae: He was an orphan. He was abandoned because once he had touched someone, they would spill out the truth to him about their hardships and stress. Because of this gift, he was hired to work at the bar. He learns to accept it and is able to find out the truth of why and how he ended up the way he is.
Wol Joo: About over 500 years old, she had to stay. on earth to pay for her sins. She caused harm to the spirit tree that guarded the city. It brought tragedy to the mortal realm. She was then ordered to go to the living world and help relieve 100,000 human souls stress and hardships they encountered.
Chef Gwi: He is a mystery. Although you would find out more when you watch it, I don't want to spoil much for the ones who haven't watched the drama. In the beginning, he started off as a helper of the bar. However, as the story develops, there are more discoveries about him. He was a detective in the After Life Realm, but suddenly got transferred where Wol Joo was. It gets more interesting later on but be warned.
LAST WORDS: All in all, I highly encourage you to watch Mystic Pop-Up Bar if you haven't seen it yet. And if you have watched it please tell me about your experience with it. Be safe, and thanks for reading!
