SBS's horror K-drama Revenantstarring Kim Tae RiOh Jung Se, and Hong Kyung, won bronze in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror entertainment program category at the New York Festivals 2024 TV & Film Awards.

Revenant tells the story of Ku San Young, a woman whose ordinary life takes a drastic turn when she comes by a mysterious relic left behind by her father and becomes possessed by an evil spirit, and Yeom Hae Sang, a folklore professor helping San Young using his ability to see ghosts.  

The K-drama consistently achieved double-digit ratings each week during its airing from June to July 2023. It received acclaim for both its domestic success and artistic merit.

Studio S Director Lee Jung Rim expressed gratitude for the award, stating, "Winning the award was possible thanks to the acting and passion for the drama of writer Kim Eun Hee, who always does her best to bring good scripts, and all the main and supporting actors, including Kim Tae RiOh Jung Se, and Hong Kyung. I want to share this honor with all the outstanding staff of Revenant and everyone involved in this production." 

CP Lee Ok Gyu, the executive producer, said, "Revenant, beneath the guise of an occult mystery drama, addressed the struggles of young people in reality and the economic inequality they face, offering support and comfort. I extend the honor of this award to writer Kim Eun Hee, who successfully accomplished this difficult mission. I also would like to share the honor of winning this award with all the other young individuals who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and gave their best for this production, as well as our entire team of staff and supporting actors." 

The New York Festivals TV & Film Awards is a prestigious global awards ceremony that honors broadcasting institutions of various genres, including news, entertainment, documentary, and sports. Among the Korean dramas featured this year, SBS's Revenant, along with Reborn RichDoctor Cha, and The Good Bad Mother, were nominated as finalists, with Revenant achieving bronze.
