Park Jin Young strives to prove Roh Jeong Eui is not a 'Witch' in new mystery K-drama

Park Jin Young and Roh Jeong Eui's The Witch has confirmed its release date for February 15. 

Channel A's upcoming weekend drama, The Witch follows Dong Jin (Park Jin Young), who strives to uncover the truth behind the bad luck surrounding Mi Jung (Roh Jeong Eui), a woman labeled as a witch. Mi Jung is a woman who has cut herself off from the world due to the mysterious misfortunes that follow her wherever she goes. 

The teaser begins showing high schooler Dong Jin noticing Mi Jung standing with a gloomy expression on her face. The scene is bleak against the backdrop of snow and a dark morning. Mi Jung is surrounded by strange rumors at school. Following an incident where a male student was struck by lightning, people start talking: "This time too Park Mi Jung was involved," "It's because of Park Mi Jung." Even Mi Jung herself admits, "Weird things have been happening around me since I was young." Unable to bear the rumors any longer, Mi Jung eventually leaves the school.

Years later, Dong Jin, now a top data miner in the industry, is startled to hear the name Mi Jung on the subway. In front of a man confessing, "I like you, Mi Jung," stands the very girl herself. She wears her hat pulled low, as if trying to conceal her identity, and responds to the man’s confession with hostility, asking, "What do you even know about me?" Dong Jin, who reunites with her as if by fate, embarks on a journey to save Mi Jung, who is branded a witch due to the misfortunes that seem to follow her.

Dong Jin is a data miner who is highly regarded and well-respected in the industry. Dong Jin took the job, which involves transforming and analyzing data to extract essential information, driven by both curiosity and fondness for Mi Jung.

Having graduated with a degree in statistics, Dong Jin specializes in uncovering truths within big data. After a chance encounter with Mi Jung years later, he sets out to prove that she is not the "witch" the world believes her to be. Determined to help her, Dong Jin aims to discover the truth to dispel the stigma surrounding her.
