Park Hyung Sik is in talks to work with Han Hyo Joo in upcoming drama "Happiness"
Media outlets reported on April 15 that idol-actor Park Hyung Sik received an offer to be the main lead for the upcoming drama '”Happiness" alongside Han Hyo Joo.
A representative from his agency United Artists Agency confirmed that Park Hyung SIk got the casting offer and that the actor is positively considering it.
The upcoming drama will be the next collaboration work of director Ahn Gil Ho and writer Han Sang Woon who previously wrote the script for "Watcher". The drama will be produced by Studio Dragon.
"Happiness" is set in a time where infectious diseases are prevalent. The city will crumble as a new type of infectious disease emerges, one that makes people suffer from violent thirst.
If he accepts, Park Hyung Sik would play the role of a violent crimes detective named Jung Yi Hyun. He was a former ace baseball player in high school but fate intervenes when he suffers a bad knee injury. He then decides to become a police officer. This role was also offered to actor Park Sung Hoon. Meanwhile, Han Hyo Joo received an offer to play the role of Yoon Sae Bom.
Aside from "Happiness", Park Hyung Sik is also in talks to star in the upcoming historical drama written by
Jung Hyun Jung ("The Golden Hairpin".) If he accepts the role, this will be his comeback drama ever since his discharge from the military. He also participated in several dramas such as "Suits," "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon," "The Heirs," "Hwarang," and "High Society." He was also part of the 2019 movie "Juror 8".
"Happiness" is slated to air in the second half of the year.
