Lee Sun Kyun will reportedly star in a new black comedy K-drama.
On May 4, it was reported that Lee Sun Kyun will star in the black comedy K-drama Open Murder Contract (literal translation).
According to reports, Lee Sun Kyun already received the casting offer and he is positively considering starring in the upcoming K-drama and already coordinating his schedule.
Open Murder Contract will be about an open murder request with a reward of 20 billion won for the life of a rare felon. It will be a fierce duel between those people who want to kill and other people who want to survive.
The upcoming K-drama will be directed by Choi Kook Hee, the same director of the films Life Is Beautiful, Tale of Cinema, and Default. The script will be written by Lee Soo Jin.
Lee Sun Kyun got the offer to play the role of a police officer who has to protect criminals in different situations.
Open Murder Contract will begin filming starting on the second half of 2023.
This will possibly be his third upcoming K-drama. The top actor is also set to star in the upcoming second season of Apple TV's Dr. Brain wherein he worked alongside Lee Yoo Young, Park Hee Soon, Seo Ji Hye, Lee Jae Won, and Jo Bok Rae.
The actor is also set to star in the upcoming movies Sleep, Silence, and The Land of Happiness.
Lee Sun Kyun is known for being part of the K-dramas Diary of a Prosecutor, My Mister, My Wife’s Having an Affair this Week, Miss Korea, Golden Time, Pasta, Coffee Prince, and Lovers. He is also known for leading the films Killing Romance, Kingmaker, Parasite, Jo Pil Ho: The Dawning Rage, Man of Will, The Advocate: A Missing Body, All About My Wife, and more.
