Lee Byung Hun Recalls Late Actor Na Chul During "Concrete Utopia" Press Conference

During an interview for the movie Concrete Utopia held at a cafe in Sogeok Dong, Jongno Gu, Seoul, on August 1st, Lee Byung Hun recalled the late actor Na Chul.

He expressed his surprise, saying, "I was surprised to hear about actor Na Chul later". "I think I saw him on the set for 2 to 3 days, and then I didn't see him. Later I read an article [about his death], and thought, 'He's definitely someone I worked with somewhere', and then I realized that it was Concrete Utopia [we worked together on]".

Lee Byung Hun also added, "It was astonishing to learn that Concrete Utopia became his posthumous work".

The late actor Na Chul passed away on January 21st, at the age of 36, due to health complications. Throughout his career, he displayed an unwavering passion for acting, shining in various works, including theater, movies, and dramas. He delivered a powerful performance as Kim Gil Soo in Weak Hero Class 1. He also held guest roles in dramas such as Vincenzo, Hospital Playlist Season 2, and D.P., and supporting roles in famous dramas like  Vincenzo and Happiness.

Concrete Utopia is a disaster drama movie set in Seoul, which has turned into ruins following a massive earthquake, with the only remaining apartment building, Hwang Goong Apartments, becoming a gathering place for survivors.

Concrete Utopia is set to release on August 9th.
