Actresses Kim Tae Hee and Im Ji Yeon are uniting for an upcoming mystery thriller Lies Hidden in My Garden. On May 15, Genie TV unveiled the poster for the upcoming drama. Directed by Jung Ji Hyun (famous for helming The King: Eternal Monarch and Twenty-Five Twenty-One), and written by Ji Ani, the drama is a suspense thriller based on the best-selling novel of the same name. It tells the story of two women who meet and find their lives changing due to the strange smell coming from the backyard.
In the drama, Kim Tae Hee plays the role of Joo Ran, who is thrown into confusion due to the smell of a corpse from the backyard while living a peaceful life in a perfect house, and Im Ji Yeon plays the role of Sang Eun, a victim of domestic violence who dreams of escaping from her miserable reality.
In particular, the stark contrast between the two actresses' characters is evident in the poster. Kim Tae Hee is dressed in a pink dress, exuding powerful charisma, while Im Ji Yeon's all-black gloomy outfit and her dispirited expression portray the unfavourable circumstances she lives in. The alienating atmosphere piques curiosity about the relationship between the two women in the drama.
Lies Hidden in My Garden will air a total of 8 episodes. The K-drama will premiere on June 19. More updates about its broadcast on international OTT platforms are yet to come.
