Hey there, I’m finally writing my second article that'll hopefully be just as good as the last one. This time, I’ll be discussing 5 dramas I would gladly, and with no hesitations, sell my soul for (basically dramas I love with a deep passion).

I've watched many dramas throughout the years but not enough to say this list will always stay the same, of course I'll eventually add more in the future!

Before you read any further, I would just like to thank you all for the immense love and support I received on my previous article, I'm so glad people liked it!!

*There are a few spoilers in this article - however, all of them are blurred out.*

      Sweet Home

[ My Commentary ]

My gosh! I went on an emotional rollercoaster while watching this absolute stunning masterpiece...

There's something unique about Sweet Home that really kept me connected and engaged unlike other dramas I've previously watched. For the first time, I desperately wanted a drama to have more episodes than it already had. I also rewatched it twice, which is also a first for me. I even went out of my way to read the original Webtoon!

I was so invested in this drama and the characters that I'd bawl my eyes out at the simplest things such as one of the characters getting hurt or injured in some way. Despite the horrific events seen throughout, the relationships built in Sweet Home were one of the biggest highlights for me as it not only gave an insight into what people around us might do during a pandemic like that one, but also how it can build strong friendships. It kind of sums up what it means to be human. Oh and I must include how strong the female leads were, they sure did make me, a female myself, feel powerful. Cha Hyun Soo's character and life story, in particular, made my heart ache the most and seeing him in pain literally broke me. I truly sympathized with him. I just cannot seem to forget about this gem.

[ My Commentary ]

Did I cry an ocean while watching this? Yes. Am I ashamed to admit that? No, not at all.

Angel's Last Mission has a special place in my heart because it's the first drama I watched with these two incredible actors, who are now some of my favorite people!!

With every episode, it got better and better. Shin Hye Sun executed pure talent, elegance and grace through her flawless acting and Kim Myung Soo is such a good add to it. He really suits being an angel and those dimples ahh. Their romance was so beautiful yet so heart-wrenching.

The suspense is top notch and each scene is captured so so beautifully. The OST has become one of my favorites, too, every song is lovely and not only that but super addictive.

This quote never fails to make my heart flutter... "Just look at me. Think that there’s only you and me in this world" - Dan.

[ My Commentary ]

Everything about Flower of Evil amazed me, it's just so good! Probably the best thriller/crime K-Drama of 2020, if not of all time.

I was constantly on the edge of my seat and had my eyes quite literally glued to my screen. Waiting a week for new episodes was very painful. The raw emotion and angst each actor put into their characters was truly magnificent. It seriously gave me chills. The story played out so well and everything just seemed to fit in place by the end - it was so satisfying.

Aside from the somewhat annoying ending, I dare to say this drama is perfect.

I don't have much more to say without repeating what I said in my review, so I'll leave it here!

      The Tale of Nokdu

Aired: Sep 30, 2019 - Nov 25, 2019      Episodes: 32

Main cast: Jang Dong Yoon & Kim So Hyun

[ Plot Summary ]

Set in the Joseon dynasty, the series is about a man who disguises as a woman to enter a mysterious women-only village, and a young woman who does not want to become a kisaeng.

[ My Commentary ]

A rare funny youth sageuk.

Wonderful OTP, amusing situations, and just generally a delight to watch! I'm surprised by how many times I laughed out loud at the pure comedy of this show. I loved every second of TTON and it's become my favorite historical rom-com K-Drama.

In my opinion, Love in the Moonlight, another favorite of mine, sits on the same level as The Tale of Nokdu but I chose to talk about this one instead. :P

I loved all the characters, especially Nokdu - he was a really fun and interesting character to follow! Dong Joo, too, she was such a cool female lead and a big plus to this drama was of course the strong kickass female characters!!

It was all just so fantastic and I couldn't wished for a better cast and storyline!

      Circle: Two Connected Worlds

Aired: May 22, 2017 - Jun 27, 2017      Episodes: 12

Main cast: Yeo Jin Goo, Kim Kang Woo, Gong Seung Yeon & Lee Gi Kwang

[ Plot Summary ]

Taking place in both the present year 2017 and in the year 2037, when people believe that their future depends on humans controlling and regulating their emotions, this drama is a sci-fi mystery. When alien visitors arrive on Earth, humans learn new skills from them and take advantage of them; what ensues is a story of alliance, resistance, and love. Each episode will contain two shorter stories, the first part set in 2017 and called “Beta Project,” with the second set in 2037 and called “Grand New World.” (source: MyDramaList)

[ My Commentary ]

When I first came across this drama, I wasn't sure how the story would play out and my dorky self claimed it to be rather complicated but it didn't put me off, surprisingly. As I started watching, those initial thoughts flew away like clouds on a windy day. I failed at trying to be poetic, let's move on...

The drama as a whole made me contemplate on the future, more often than I already did. It made me think about the influence artificial intelligence has, even in society today. The thought of AI taking over and controlling human minds kind of freaked me out and if earth were to ever come to that point, I would most definitely not allow anyone to put a chip inside my head!! So yeah, I was doing a lot of thinking while watching Circle.

If you couldn't already tell by the gifs I've used, Kim Joon Hyuk and Lee Ho Soo were my favorite characters, I loved their love-hate relationship and funny interactions - it just seemed to add that little bit of humor when it was needed.

I loved the grand new world police crew (including the others that hung around them), their friendship seemed to deepen as the drama played out, it was just so enjoyable and funny to watch :)

The only downside to Circle was that cliffhanger of an ending, like why wasn't her alien identity ever solved or looked into?

Well, that wraps up this article! I hope I was able to shed some light on these dramas and maybe even give a few recommendations to those who haven't watched or heard of these shows before.

Thanks for reading - Amelia
