"Doubt" Actress Han Ye Ri Shares Her Excitement About Working with Han Seok Kyu

Han Ye Ri shared her thoughts on working with Han Seok Kyu in Doubt.

Doubt follows Jang Tae Su (Han Seok Kyu), nation's top profiler, who comes to know about his daughter's secret intertwined with a murder case he's investigating and spirals into chaos as he chases the truth hidden deep in the abyss.

Han Ye Ri plays Lee Eo Jin, a member of the criminal behavior analysis team led by Jang Tae Su (Han Seok Kyu).

Lee Eo Jin is a character who prioritizes facts over emotions and incidents over people. Though she's highly skilled, she's known for having zero social skills. However, she's passionate about her work more than anyone else. Tae Su, the top profiler, is her role model, and as they work together, she begins to observe him closely.

Han Ye Ri explained her reason for choosing the role, saying, "I felt like if I didn't do this project, I might never have the chance to work with Han Seok Kyu sunbaenim, so I thought I had to do it no matter what. I was so happy at the thought of being able to watch an actor I've always admired perform on set."

She added, "Eo Jin is a character who grows with the help of many people. In the story, she admires Tae Su, but I wanted to understand why she both admires and doubts him at the same time."

Regarding the drama's highlight, Han Ye Ri said, "I think it would be interesting for viewers to suspect all the characters. On set, the cast was so engrossed in finding the culprit, and they suspected each other like in a mafia game (laughs). Viewers, try to find a traitor close to you. And, of course, look for them in our drama as well."

Doubt will premiere on October 11. The K-drama's global OTT service is yet to be revealed.
