On February 2, the South Korean actress Kim Bo Kyung passed away after battling cancer for the past 11 years. She was only 44 years old.
Kim Bo Kyung was a graduate of the theater department at Seoul National University of Arts. She made her debut in the 2001 film "Friend" with main leads Jang Dong Gun and Yoo Oh Sung.
Since then, Kim Bo Kyung has been active as an actress. She acted in films such as "My Little Bride", "Blue Sky", "The Day He Arrives", and "Epitaph" wherein she got her first Best Actress Award at the 3rd Pierson Film Festival.
She also appeared in dramas including "White Tower", "Kimcheed Radish Cubes" and her last project, "It Was Love" together with Ahn Jae Mo, Park Shi Eun and Hwang Dong Joo that aired in 2012.
