If you haven't heard about him before, then you must have seen his face somewhere. He has become known as the prince of shoujo live adaptations, having in mind that he has starred in many of them until now. Besides his cute and adorable face (that got me stalking him in the first place, btw), he seems to be a very promising actor and since he is very young, I also hope to see him in both serious and fun roles. :)
Let me introduce you to Fukushi Sota and some of his more prominent roles, and I hope you will at least have fun...or maybe even become a stalker like me. ;p

Kamen Rider is a popular Japanese superhero franchise that consists of TV shows and films based on the manga of the same name, and they have been airing since the 1970s. Sota starred as both a supportive and main actor and these are some of his first roles. Besides his bad boy hairstyle and appearance, the series are rather comical and silly.
Boku ga Shokeisareru Mirai
(In the Future, When I am Executed)
This is his first main role on a big screen. He plays a confusing college student who unknowingly travels to the future and gets accused of murder. Even though it should be his breakthrough role, I think that he did not show his full potential. However, if you are a fan of sci-fi films, you should check it out.
Starman - This Star's Love
After Kamen Rider, this is his first main role in a dorama and he stars as a young man who starts living with an older divorced woman and her children. I was a bit creeped out by the whole plot, and if you watched it, you may know why. Anyway, he was adorable and looked way younger than 20 as he was then.
Also, this is not the only older woman x younger man plot he starred in. It seems that the Japanese simply dig such storylines.
Enoshima Prism
This is the beginning of the 'school drama' films, and this time he travels back in time. Prepare yourself for some really touching moments, and he does a nice job in this film about friendship and love. The film is rather bittersweet and shows how beautiful and sad real friendships can be. Sota's character goes to great lengths in order to save his friends. If you would like to enjoy watching him in a slice of life adaptation filled with a fantasy element, then maybe you should start from here.
In the Hero
This is a drama and action film in which he plays a super popular actor who eventually gets help and forms a friendship with an older film veteran. From an arrogant and oblivious rising star and idol, he turns into a person who finally starts acknowledging his work and co-workers. You can see Sota doing some interesting martial art movements and playing a similar version of himself. :)
Kyou wa Kaisha Yasumimasu

Shoujo manga adaptation #1 and another older woman x younger man kind of drama, but you will probably fall for him too so no worries. He basically seduces the character played by the legendary Ayase Haruka and you will find it legit. When it comes to his character, he plays a kind and a bit childish student who is not sure of his future but he is sure of his feelings. If you like office romance, then check it out. It is very similar to Last Cinderella, so if you liked that one, you will probably like this one too.
Sukitte Ii nayo
(Say 'I Love You')
Shoujo manga adaptation #2 and I love it. It is a typical popular-high-school-guy-gets-a-shy-girl but their romance is cute and relaxing. He plays a super popular and cool guy and that is mostly because of his easy-going and kind personality that draws everyone around him closer; and he is the complete opposite of the heroine who is antisocial and brooding. Sota's charms are more than evident and you will probably want to read the manga and find out what is happening after the film's ending, and let me tell you, the manga is ongoing!
Strobe Edge
Shoujo manga adaptation #3 and it is a recently released film based on one of the most popular shoujo mangas ever. The lucky ones could watch it in Japanese cinemas, but the others will have to wait for a couple of months to get it from a Blu-ray copy. I can't speak of his performance since the film is not out yet, but if they are going to follow the manga, he will be the silent and brooding type of shoujo high school guy. Which means that his cold behavior is going to melt away once he starts spending more time with the heroine.
As The Gods Will
(Kamisama no Iu Toori)
Manga adaptation #4 is not a shoujo manga, but it has a bit of romance and a lot of action and suspense! If you don't like it bloody, then don't watch it. Anyway, Sota plays an intelligent character who gets to survive almost impossible tasks by using his wit and a bit of luck. The film starts with him being bored with his life in general and then rapidly changes to the survive or die game in which he manages to outwit everyone around him (well, almost). I like the film and recommend it to those who like Battle Royale, Hunger Games and such plots.
Love Relationship
Shoujo manga adaptation #.... lol just kidding, it seems that it is not based on any manga. This is the upcoming romantic summer drama in which he will play an indecisive guy and the preview poster seems interesting and summerish. I'm kinda glad that there is not a manga which it will be based on (I hope so) because I would like to watch it without any knowledge of what is going to happen next. I'm looking forward to it!
