A must watch
I've always wondered why the cdramas here are rated less than they deserve. This is my first time leaving a review on this website. Smile Code deserves recognition and a higher rating. I mean what can't you love about this drama? Their chemistry alone deserves 10/10 and that for me is the most important thing when watching a drama. Another plus is the cinematography! Shen yue amazing acting great drama
Shen yue as GuYi is life. She is such a great actress and next to LinYi them acting together is the best. They deserve way more promotion than what they got. Shen yue you got so many international fans that love you still waiting on comic bang people hating on her work is so disappointing she’s such a great human being she deserves to be way more famous hope to see her in way more dramas than what they give her she might not be as liked in china which I don’t understand either compared toOther Chinese actresses because she’s so beautiful she outstands so much I personally think she’s one of the most natural and beautiful actresses but she has way more fans and it’s known way more outside of china that some people don’t understand she’s well known internationally not like other actresses that are only known in china ??♀️

A good idol drama. Enggaging story, i like that conflict presented well without being too dramatic, and continue to get better in next episode, pacing is good, good cinematoghraphy though the picture bit hazy on earlier episode but its slowly changes and i think is intentional so applause to the director for the detail, nice ost and bgm, and relatable characters.

OST & Cinematography is on point.
OST is very catchy which is a plus for me knowing it can add hype on every drama. I am a kdrama OST junkie and I seldom like any cdrama OST but this one is great especially the english one. Cinematography is sooo good you can see every small detail on the location set-up. So far so good. I hope it will get better on the upcoming episode especially the climax part.Shen Yue & Lin Yi are so cute even though the height difference is too much. Height diff in every drama can add on the chemistry so there is no problem.

Is the new Chinese drama ‘Smile Code’ an incredible drama to watch? Yes!
Smile Code will appeal to most all Asian Drama Lovers. Let me begin by saying that the OST for the Chinese drama Smile Code is beyond the bomb! As a habit, I don’t watch opening or closing credits for Chinese dramas. The clipped videos just give away too many drama secrets. For Smile Code, you are compelled to watch the opening and closing credits for this Chinese drama, because there are two incredible songs which pull you out of your seats to dance. And it never gets old listening to the opening song Make Me Wanna by Teloupe and the closing tune It’s You by Stringer. The song It’s You is right out of Taylor Swift’s playbook, without being a copy. The music in between is just as good. Boy are Chinese dramas catching up with and in some cases surpassing Korean Dramas at present.Quote: “Laughter is the painkiller for life lived.”

Smile Code has heavy hitter actors, FL Shen Yue (Meteor Garden) playing Gu Yi, who is a Stand-Up Comic. ML Lin Yi (Put Your Head On My Shoulders) playing Liang Dai Wen, is an Accessibility Designer.

Smile Code is an artsy drama. The format for the drama is different from usual Chinese dramas I have seen. This drama has the charm of the Chinese drama Hidden Love. With youthful style and fun energy, it is like being on a fantasy date.

The FL Gu Yi is the gagster and Liang Dai Wen is the straight guy. She is young and flirtatious and he is buried under a pile of medical terms, having so many maladies. Both Chinese actors have perfect comedic timing. They are bouncing off of each other in perfect harmony.
