Was fun while it lasted

As someone who's been watching dramas for a long time, I would usually skip this type of short-form drama because I'd rather watch a fully-written and produced 16 episode drama. I saw this when it came out, and it looked interesting on paper, so I waited for it to finish airing.

The story is your simple school romance drama, and even though it can be cliché at times, it was still good because the clichéness was used well and timed, though there were times I cringed at some scenes where I saw a trope that's being done, but the acting is 😬😬😬 you know what I mean??? The ML was set up to be a red flag, FL is dumb and fragile when it comes to him, and you have a 2nd ML who's slow and passive, very stereotypical characters, but what sold me was the kissing scene at the end of the first episode because it's not just a peck, it's actually a proper kiss, like hooohf!! When I saw that I was like "Okay, now I'm sold" and stuck to whatever trainwreck I was about to embark on.

As for the characters, I actually like the second ML, but he's just too passive. I want to root for him, but he's not doing much, although his acting is decent. As for the first ML, I couldn't really like him because he's a red flag. I don't know why I couldn't like him. This is probably what my friend felt when we were watching the Nevertheless drama. With the first ML, aside from being a red flag, there wasn't much exploration from his side, and his acting is too emotionless in serious scenes. In bright scenes it's good, but he's too sharply handsome to act all cutesy xD. It's just in the serious scenes where I'm not feeling his acting. The female lead, however, is so cute and pretty. The more I watch, the more I fall for her beauty, and she's a great actress too. It's not there yet, but she has the potential to get big. Her character here - I don't know why she would choose her red-flag ex over someone who saved her life. If it were me, I'd marry the guy straight away.

Anything else??? OSTs are great. Well timed. There was one that I really liked, so I searched it up and downloaded it. There's also that one ost that was used multiple times throughout the drama, and it had a similar sound to 'Stayc - love fool'. The side characters... good. They're there and played their role well. Oh, one thing, and I just remembered as I'm writing this, whenever there's a group shot of all the characters together, like why are they all standing straight and in formation as well?? No group of friends does that lmao hahaha they look so awkward in those shots.

So yeah, overall, nice drama. I liked it while it lasted, and I enjoyed my time with it. You should give it a watch if you're looking for something fun cliché, and quick watch.

One of the worst cases of 2nd male lead syndrome I’ve ever experienced.

The male lead repeatedly did things he knew would hurt her and then would just show up and expect her to be fine and stay friends with him. And she did. Like I don’t even care that his parents got divorced or whatever for someone who claims to care about her, he didn’t seem to care that he hurt her by fake dating someone else (someone he knew was doing it to hurt her, like mean girl straight up told him that was her motive) because he knew the female lead liked him and instead of just telling her he wanted to stay friends he decided breaking her heart was a better solution apparently, making out with her and confessing and then ghosting her for over two years, coming back and acting like nothing happened, continually hanging out with the fake friend he fake dated and letting her hang off him knowing it would hurt the female lead, he literally didn’t even correct the fake friend when she said they were on a date after he had JUST bailed last minute on his plans with the female lead (so it really seemed like they were going to meet and catch up and he chose to go have a date with the ex friend who is constantly being condescending and mean to her instead). And then again something big happens and he GHOSTS HER. And she just waits around for him to finally get his act together and goes running when he calls. I don’t even think he ever explained to her why he acted the way he had. Or clarified that he and fake friend had never dated. I’m pretty sure he just was like “sorry I’ve been a butthead, but I love you. So let’s move on and be together. And I probably won’t ghost you again.”

Like nope. No, thank you. She is surrounded by self-centered backstabbers. From the coward male lead, the fake ex-friend, to her current saboteur of a roommate. The second male lead is basically the only exception, as he is supportive and just wants her to be happy. And even while knowing she likes someone else still goes running whenever she needs help and just wants to stay by her side even as just a friend. Like, why didn't she pick him? (To be fair to her, he wasn't like super assertive about his feelings, but I think that was because it was pretty clear she was still hung up on ML and so he knew he was in the friendzone without having to try to force his feelings on her). But still, he would never intentionally hurt her to protect himself, hurt her then ghost her, or even just ghost her. He was so much better! Ugh. You know what, it's probably for the best. He's not a second choice. So, I'm counting it as a win because clearly this female lead prefers to be the main lead's doormat and he deserves someone who will put him first.

In that regard, I was VERY glad the roommate did NOT end up being the love interest for the second male lead. Because she definitely doesn't deserve someone as good as him until she makes amends and grows up. We didn’t get too much about the future for him other than he chose to do his military service to get some time away from the female lead now that she’s officially with the male lead. Which is understandable since it would be hard to see up close. But when he comes back on leave he seems okay with their PDA and is still a good friend.

Frankly, by the end, I only really cared and kept watching for him.

Malgré le fait que le personnage masculin principal m’a immédiatement déplu par ses actions et son caractère, le drama n’était pas mal. Loin d’être sur ma liste de favoris, vu que j’ai voulu arrêter plusieurs fois (et vu la longueur, ça en dit beaucoup), mais les acteurs étaient bons, l’idée elle-même, intéressante. J’aurais juste aimé une véritable scène pour racheter les actions du ‘Male Lead’, et pour le comprendre. Mais du coup, pour moi, le visionnement a été plutôt décevant. Ce qui est dommage vu que les acteurs principaux semblent avoir une bonne alchimie…

Breve intermezzo senza capo nè coda

Siparietto senza capo né coda, dieci episodi da una decina di minuti l'uno, una sorta di intermezzo del tutto inconsistente, al punto che sostanzialmente manca anche il triangolo promesso nel titolo (io sono una anti-fan dei triangoli amorosi, ma qui si tratta proprio di lavorare per obiettivi minimi e non riuscire a raggiungere nemmeno quelli).
Qualche elemento del cast è anche valido, ma a maggior ragione sprecato per un prodotto del genere.
L'unica nota positiva è proprio la durata ridotta, che quanto meno rende la mini-serie una cosina senza ragione di esistere ma che si limita a orbitare come un piccolo satellite invisibile nell'universo di prodotti di calibro più consistente: sarebbe stato uno spreco totale se ci si fosse costruito sopra un drama da sedici puntate, con tutte le risorse - economiche e non - che avrebbe comportato.

Garbage tbh

Failed to deliver its potential so I believe it deserves an overall rating of a disappointing 2.
My main issue with this drama was the main character. Her decision making throughout the drama was just illogical and controlled by her desperation rather than genuine feelings. She constantly played around between the two love interests and made decisions without having any genuine attraction or compatibility towards them so the interactions also became tiring.

Other things I did not like about this drama:
-Execution was poor
-Characters are messy
-Storyline lacks depth
-Dynamics between characters are bland
-No real sense of emotion/tension
-No chemistry between any of the characters
-Acting is also pretty mid

Positives:
-Ost is decent I suppose

Ultimately, this drama left me feeling empty and as if I wasted my time which is a shame because I genuinely had hope in this drama at first, so honestly don't bother watching if you are a reasonable person.
