Pending Train: Shudengo Talk (2023)

Very Watchable! So glad I gave it a try.

There is something about this particular cast of actors that makes this very simple sci-fi show very watchable and likable. The story is not anything particularly new, a group of people transported mysteriously through time? space?, having to make decisions about how to survive. The main question being whether or not they will devolve into a Lord of the Flies situation, everyone for themselves, or not. The theme may not be so new, but there is something special about the show, and I believe that it is the interactions between the three main characters and the others who they find themselves thrown in with that makes the show so enjoyable to watch.

Not all of the the characters are particularly likable at first, but as each of their backstories are filled in, you will find yourself becoming rather attached to them, even the side characters (including the people they left behind in our world). I don't want to give any spoilers, but I just find it particularly uplifting to watch them work through their challenges.
