High level male BL fan shows his powerlevel
First of all a thanks to the fansubber Furritsu for doing English translation.Story:
Not a BL but also has enough content to keep a BL fan very happy if you can manage to get over the super weird male lead. A male BL otaku (a fudanshi) works as a bartender. Here he ships his male customers and really any guys near him into pairs in his fantasy while he prepares their drinks. Meanwhile his co-workers kinda watch the insanity unfold. The bartender is commited to getting every guy into a couple in his fantasy so he can make new BL content at home. So different guys enter the bar and different fantasy stories unfold based on what they say. It's a super short story too so if that sounds interesting to you then definitely check it out!
Acting/Cast:
The ability of the actors to not laugh during the situations is next level. The main guy also acts like one of the most odd characters I've seen and I watch jdramas so that limits high at this point. He's super neutral until BL situations happen in which case he'll go wild. Also the BL fantasy scenes were nicely acted as well, I got invested in some of them lol.
Music:
Pretty calm music. Jazz stuff and all that, very fitting to the bar location where almost the entire drama takes place.
Rewatch value:
As a BL fan I could definitely rewatch this show a bunch to see the BL fantasy scenes again. One of them looked super pretty too. But I can imagine that for non-BL fans there's less reason to rewatch.

Love Letter + Parody = Perfection
As a love letter to and a parody of yaoi (and fudanshis), this two-part series adds up to perfection. The story was hilarious, and like any good parody, poked fun at itself. Bartender Hibiki is a ridiculous and exaggerated BL fan, which he is aware of, just as he is aware of his exceptional mixology skills. His obsession with the perfect "ships" for the two other guy bartenders, as well as his fantasies about the male customers, is quite comical - and rings a bit true, at least to me. I, too, can find myself daydreaming about the perfect BL ships and story lines. (I just wish I could make a perfect kir at the same time I was daydreaming...) It is parody with affection and a love letter to the BL art form.
The acting is superb. All the characters nailed the humor. My personal favorite is Bartender Hokuto. She had some of the funniest scenes and lines (besides Hibiki).
I would re-watch it without hesitation. It makes for a great, rollicking time. Sort of reminds me of South Korean parody The Boy Next Door in terms of sheer hilarity.

Simply Not Funny
To call this short series quirky would not quite do it justice. It is odd and almost appeared to be a story of a man with a multi-personality disorder. Labeled as a comedy, I frankly just did not get it and subsequently did not find it funny. But I have a difficult time with what is funny in different cultures as humor can be a very culture-centric concept. Another distracting aspect of this series is also a flaw (at least to me) reflective of Japanese BL and that is this constant use of ‘talking to oneself’ to explain actions. Several Japanese BLs use the technique of talking out loud as if they are having conversations with themselves. This is getting overused and tends to 'lead' the audience into what they should be feeling rather than what is.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

quirky - BL adjacent
Overall: this has a type of exaggerated humor like in Ossan's Love. This isn't my favorite type of humor, but others might enjoy it. Watched on GagaOOLala. Two episodes about 23 minutes each.Content Warnings: head smack
What I Liked
- the dream with the licking a lime off of him
- interested to hear the history of some drinks and recipes
- fyi the nosebleed is referencing anime when a character gets excited and has a nosebleed
Room For Improvement
- that personality tells you a person's sexual position
- I just didn't find the humor that funny

Accomplishment? What accomplishment?
Yes, there's a fudanshi bartender, but what accomplishment does he have besides fantasizing about his colleagues and customers? Perhaps the way he perseveres despite reality disrupting his fantasies is an accomplishment? We only have two episodes, and the two episodes seem like the beginning of something that has a chance of becoming interesting in a quirky way. However, unfortunately, the two episodes are everything we get. In the end, we are just left wondering what the point of it all is.If the fudanshi's fantasies are particularly interesting, it would at least be something. Unfortunately, it seems more like we are supposed to laugh at him and his fantasies rather than to indulge in them together with him. I think most fujoshis and fudanshis are better off fantasizing on their own. It's not as if we could get much vicarious enjoyment from his fantasies. All in all, a rather weird two episodes, and not in a good way.

The director of this drama must be on sth when they filmed this one bc this cracked me up so bad
Same not-your-regular BL, I think this one is the reverse of Zettai BL where the main lead is a bartender but he is a fudanshi in secret? If you like Zettai BL and/ or you're a fudanshi/ fujoshi, you will like this one. I was cracking up so bad bc of how cringey and exaggerated it is but in a funny way.?I think this one should have a season 2. All the characters are very cute and the fantasized stories are also interesting.
I praised the main lead for his role. He is not only handsome, but he also has good acting and voice acting.

O show é um momento ótimo e divertido, me lembrando da paródia sul-coreana The Boy Next Door.
