Both shows have quite a lot of similarities. Both are a military-themed reality shows where reservists from different special forces compete for the best team title. Alongside Korean both also include non-Korean special forces operators - in Iron Squad 3 it is US special forces (USSF) team, while in the Soldiers three out of four team captains/mentors are non-Korean. Some of the participants also participated in both shows which includes (but are not limited to) 707's Hong Beom-Seok, UDU's Go In-ho and USSF's Wil Ravelo (he was a mentor/team captain in the Soldiers). I believe that if you liked one, you will most likely like the other show as well.
Both:
- participants compete in games that will tests physical fitness and also strategies to win the missions
Differences
- In soldiers the cast are just male soldiers. In physical, we got female participants as well. And it is not only limited to soldiers, the show got athletes, body builders and other people who think they have the ‘physical shape’ compete to win the cash prize.
- Physical is an individual competition. Meanwhile, Soldiers is more of a group competition, although it also had missions that were individualistic too.

Both are military survival competitions, although the concept is a little different
Both have very similar drills/games/missions
I think The Soldiers was actually spun off from the Iron Squad because of it's success.
I think Iron Squad is much better imo as you get to know the contestants more, there's MC panelists, and more heart, but if you're in the mood for more military competitions, then try the Soldiers.
