Serpiente (2021)

What a mess

Star Image did it again! Announced 8 episodes, started promising, finished it after 4 (or rather 3 and a quarter).

I usually don't write negative reviews, but this time it has to be, because I was looking forward to Kaleb displaying new facettes of his talent. Unfortunately, I was deeply disappointed (which isn't Kaleb's fault!). I will keep it short, though.

Basic idea: not bad. A story of some boys getting lost in the jungle of the city, unpolished, realistic.

Script: None. Just a sequence of scenes about boys getting drunk and fucking around.

Director: Probably just told the actors, 'Boys, get drunk and fuck around'.

Cinematography: Remained in the dark.

Actors: That's the tragedy about this 'series'. Despite everything said above, they are talented and cute, with Kaleb outstanding of course.

What to do? Well, maybe another production company should produce a remake of the basic idea, hiring the same actors, but a different, that is to say, a proper, screenwriter and director, and this may be a thrilling series.

I was slightly disappointed with Serpiente. I expected a bit more. The story could be told, even if it is nothing groundbreaking, but it was not used as a filmmaker or director, such a mild pall mall, the shots were often unnecessarily dark (if the intention was to achieve a bigger mystery), a long-winded shot of the laundry in the first episode (I don't understand) . I was looking forward to an actor named Kaleb Ong, whom I know from the series Meet My Angel, he did not disappoint, but he was bound by the script and the director. So life the Filipino way .... aka love, sex, betrayal.



Serpiente mě mírně zklamalo. Čekal jsem poněkud více. Příběh by se dal, i když nic průlomového to není, ale nebyl filmařsky ani režijně využit, takový mírný pall mall, záběry byly často zbytečně tmavé (jestli se tím chtělo docílit nějakého většího tajemna), dlouhatánský záběr v první epizodě na praní (nechápu). Těšil jsem se na herce jménem Kaleb Ong, kterého znám ze seriálu Meet My Angel, nezklamal, ale byl svázán scénářem a režisérem. Takže život po filipínsku .... alias láska, sex, zrada.

Recicle

how can they recicle a lot of things? like?????????????????? do you really start a drama and make a mess like this and think its will be fine?
Let's be honest: the actors are cool, they work really well but the producer is really horrible, they basically recycled the whole Amore set, BAD Amore points and put in these actors who almost did a miracle with this bad script, I'd take a chance in saying the quality of this series is at the level of a children's school play. Short, nonsensical episodes, random soundtrack, and it's definitely something I wouldn't watch again or recommend to a friend. But the actors really performed well and deserve recognition and other roles in better-crafted series.

como eles podem reciclar tantas coisas na cara dura? tipo?????????????????? você realmente começa um drama e faz uma bagunça como essa e acha que vai ficar tudo bem? Vamos ser honestos: os atores são legais, eles funcionam muito bem, mas a produtora é realmente horrível, eles basicamente reciclaram todo o cenário de Amore, pontos RUINS de Amore e colocaram esses atores que quase fizeram um milagre com esse roteiro péssimo, eu me arriscaria em dizer a qualidade dessa serie é no nível de uma peça escolar infantil. Episódios curtos e sem nexo, trilha sonora feita aleatoriamente, e com certeza é algo que eu não assistiria outra vez ou indicaria a um amigo. Mas os atores realmente atuaram bem e merecem reconhecimento e outros papeis em series melhor elaboradas.
