WOW! What A Complete Surprise Well Done

What a Complete Surprise Semantic Error Was to me! What a great eight part series. Truly amazing writing, acting and production value.

Semantic Error Truly Works, because the two leads..Park Seo Ham and Park Jae Chan are so damn perfect together. They have 100% Chemistry and it truly does show! Lovely Couple. They make me believe in what they are doing. The screenplay also is truly damn good ..not like them kiddie overly cutesy messes from Thailand!!! This is real MEN who truly deep down from day one Love One Another!

Great Directing By…Kim Soo Jung ..on target and truly knows how to get the best of our two leads. Great camera work and truly amazing production value. Well Done By All…Highly Recommended!

Não é um erro é amor

Eu demorei um pouco para terminar esta série, talvez porque eu já tinha lido o manhwa e certamente a série segue-a fielmente.

Mesmo a personagem principal (Jang Jae Young), ser um pouco robô e com poucas expressões, de certa forma isso o faz parecer mais fofo e atraente. Ele parece ser aquele indivíduo, que só quer realizar os seus objetivos e isso fá-lo esconder-se atrás de um boné e também o torna mais quieto e apático. Porém um demónio, sempre o irá perturbar.

Inicialmente pode parecer só chato, mas eu me diverti, gostava sempre de ver as suas reações e além disso também existiu um certo desenvolvimento. acredito que o demónio o puxou para o mundo real e aos poucos ele conseguia-se soltar mais, como dar um sorriso e conseguir manter uma conversa naturalmente, sem necessitar de dar respostar curtas e objetivas, por vezes parecia rude, mas era só ela a ser ele mesmo.

Além disso amei, ver que ele foi o primeiro a dar um passo em frente beijar o demónio sem reclamar. O relacionamento não achei assim tão rápido como outros bls coreanos. Eu gostaria de falar mais mas, simplesmente não sei o que dizer. faz um tempo que eu vi a série.

Recomendo para quem quer ver uma história de amor calma e com uma pita de clichés. Talvez eu não tenha dado dez, porque já tinha lido o manhwa, então não me surpreendi muito com a história no geral. Eu realmente prefiro o manhwa ao invés da série, mesmo os atores serem lindos e fofos... eles formaram um belo casal. Eu não me importaria de os ver juntos.

if it's wrong why does it feel so right to rewatch it 4 times?

This series has absolutely become my comfort series.
I have watched the series twice and the movie (which is just the series pasted together) also twice and then i watched some of the anime episodes.
Why? Maybe that's a little bit part of the tism but iin all seriousness: why is it so addictive?
Semantic error shouldn't be addictive tbh: it uses the almost all the age-old BL drama tropes such as enemies-to-lovers, colege romance, grumpy x sunshine, straight guy falling in love with a guy etc. etc.
And yet! Though it uses these tropes - which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it manages to captivate the audience (me). I think that's due to the script: the script is really good in terms of drama and comedy. there wasn't a single moment where i felt like the dialogue was bad/cringey/lacking/out of character. The script made sense! Which is something that is often lacking in college romance enemies to lovers BL (2gether, fish upon the sky for example) And i think that's what made it so refreshing and addictive.
On top of that, the cinematography was really pretty and the acting and chemistry between the two leads was also very good.
All in all, this is a very fun watch and definitely needs to be on your list if you like romcom series with the grumpy x sunshine trope!

SO GOOD!!

Tbh, after reading Cherry blossoms manhwa and then seeing the drama, I thought I'll be disappointed but hell no. Both, manhwa and drama were very attractive and the actors played their roles really well. They were hot, funny, loving, just everything I want to see in couple. I loved how Sangwoo is not the typical bottom but he's bossing Jaeyoung around and he'll do it. As soon as he knew he has wrapped Jaeyoung around his finger, he really took advantage of it but felt the same way as him. It was really hilarious how jealous but cool Jaeyoung was and what I liked here which was different from manhwa that Sangwoo did not care about genders and traditions. In manhwa they are still just bed friends while here they started as boyfriends which is great because Sangwoo knew what he wanted and didn't think much about his prejudices and lived in the moment. Really great K-drama and want to rewatch

Almost as good as the webtoon

It's so hard sometimes with the dramas based on webtoons, because they almost never live up to the original. Semantic Error is held back by some of the restrictions of the genre -- short and few episodes, hesitance around physical contact -- but of all the dramas I've watched it comes the closest to the original content. The acting works, you believe their chemistry, the pacing also works and there's a decent payoff at the end. It's a bummer that they didn't (couldn't) put in a lot of physical contact because that's a key part of the webtoon and basically the genesis of their relationship. But overall, a really pleasant surprise!

KOREAN BL ALWAYS LEAVE ME ON EDGE

Semantic Error, like every Korean BL I have watched is so addicting and just leave you hanging at the end.
With its 8 Episodes, and like 15-20 mins per episode? All I can say is "I NEED MORE".

The entire plot of the story is well-written and well-planned. Its not the most unique plots, but it is not the most common plot also. I'm just surprised that they did well in compressing the whole plot in just 8 15-mins episodes. I personally loved the flow of the story.

Music-wise, I honestly didn't really noticed the music as I watched the show. Sorry. I am so committed with the couple and characters that I forgot to take notice to the music they are using.

The characters of the story are well-written and well executed. The two lead actors have a great chemistry. Although, you can evidently see the awkwardness between two of them. However, you can say that the awkwardness between the couple helps in the plot of the series, and makes it more intense to the eyes of the viewers.

Overall, this is one of my favorite and my first Korean BL. I am hoping to explore other Korean BLs too. If you have suggestions please email it to me at [email protected]. Thank you!

corto ma ne vale la pena

La prima volta che l’ho guardato gli ho dato 7 e seriamente non riesco a capire il perchè di questa cosa, adesso che l’ho rivisto mi sono resa conto che è uno dei migliori bl coreani, è stupendo in tutto.
Mi dispiace duri così poco, loro due sono veramente carini insieme, ho avuto le farfalle nello stomaco un botto di volte per colpa loro, mi fanno emozionare.
Mi piace molto la storia di come siano passati dall’odio all’amore pur avendo due caratteri totalmente diversi, sono uno l’opposto dell’altro, ma da come sappiamo gli opposti si attraggono quindi sì PUNTO
Mi ha fatto molto ridere quando hanno trattato la situazione del mettersi insieme come un abbonamento come quello di Netflix, non credo abbia molto senso questa cosa ma l'avevano presentata in questa maniera molto divertente e comica quindi non riuscivo a prenderli sul serio.
Hanno avuto un pò di situe ma alla fine hanno risolto tutto.
La più triste è il fatto che Sang Woo dovesse andare a Parigi per lavoro, lì abbiamo visto Jae Young felice ma triste, era felice che Sang Woo avesse ricevuto quell’offerta ma allo stesso tempo triste della sua partenza. Quel giorno era andato lì proprio per accettare “l’offerta” ma si è dovuto ritirare perché non voleva che Sang Woo non partisse per colpa sua, giustamente quando ami qualcuno vuoi solo il meglio per quella persona quindi era anche normale che Jae Young si arrendesse per non rendere a Sang Woo la partenza difficile se non proprio inesistente.
Alla fine mi ha fatto piacere come Sang Woo si fosse organizzato in un modo ben preciso così da poter stare con Jae Young.
In generale questo bl è veramente bello, non ci vuole molto per guardarlo, io l’ho finito in una serata e proprio per questo ne vale il vostro tempo.

Quirky but incredibly mediocre

This series was so painfully average/mediocre that the short episode length and occasional quirkiness were the only two things that kept me going.

Production quality: nothing special but nothing terrible either. The music was one of the better parts, but it wasn't anything to think twice about either.

Acting: average or slightly below average at times for the main cast.

Story: quirky and cute, but that is all it has going. I think this is the only reason I would recommend this series. The plot felt so random and poorly paced; I could not for the life of me tell what the main characters were going to do next and not in a good way. The world they live is so far from reasonable or relatable that it is really hard to be immersed or be understanding a lot of the time. There weren't any "plot holes" per se and it wasn't completely unbearable, but I really can't point out much good either apart from it not being bad.

Maybe the movie's better? No clue; haven't seen it at the time of writing this. I will say that this series is for sure a bit overrated and overhyped, and I would not recommend to a BL enthusiast unless they have run out of better things to watch.

Act? Untuk golongan BL yang actnya under, INI UDAH BAGUSSS BANGETTT kek gimana ya, si jaechan anjirlah dia bisa masuk kedalam karakter, seoham kutang keliatan Playfull tapi udah cocok dan baguss. Entah apa yang kurang dari drama ini, tapi gue ga bisa ngasih 9 straight
Music? Ga merhatiin maaf, itu artinya kurang ngasih impact sorry,
Rewatch? Yesss Cuba rewatch sekali, tapi langsung udah ga mau lagi, ga terlalu nagih, tapi nagih, wkwk gimana si? Ya gitu.
Btw gue jaranggg ngasih rate 9 bahkan hampir mustahil wkwkwk 8 aja udah kek jarang bangettt, tapi drama ini overall gue kasih 8!

Just watch it. It's good

This was my first time watching a BL and I thought it was THE PERFECT romantic drama.

The story was fantastic, simple and straight to the point. There wasn't much focus aside from the two leads and it's honestly a breath of fresh air and made it hard not to binge the whole 8 episodes.

The characters, SangWoo and JaeYoung, are both written brilliantly. They have surprisingly contrasting personalities and lifestyles, yet their chemistry was engaging, underlying and totally effective. The whole time, you just wanted to root for them and watching their relationship slowly develop organically was never once for a second boring for me.

The production was also clever and witty. If you are a student or working in tech, there are some dumb programming jokes because of SangWoo's character. It doesn't take itself too seriously but you still get a good sense of authenticity between the two leads.

Just magical. I loved the chemistry between these two.

Side note: both of the leads are also idols from DKZ and KNK. If you haven't heard of them, it just goes to show how much talent is unseen just because groups don't come from reputable labels. I encourage you to give people a try if you're into KPOP hehe :)
