The female lead is both intelligent and witty + daughter of a concubine who becomes the main wife of a prestigious family. The story is similar in a sense that both leads were “forced” into marriage and slowly starts catching feelings. The plot is similar as the female lead is not favoured by her family and the male lead’s family, and therefore having to rely on herself through her smart and quick thinking. There is also a love triangle involved with several mystery to solve.
The dramas are similar in the following ways:
- both dramas emphasize on embroidery and military
-both MLs are smart and the FL helps the ML's career
-Stories both are beautiful and the directing was done perfectly
-both dramas have beautiful ost's

In both The Sword and The Brocade and General's Lady the two main leads are put into a 'forced" arrange marriage. They both give a similar story vibe.
It have similar story all about Concubine. And the main female lead play in both drama as a Concubine
A lot of Haren fights.
Both FLs are not interested in the ML at the begging.
ML love them first
Blooming days has a more week and indecisive ML

Well Well, there a lot of common points between these two dramas, the first is the support of each male lead to female lead , and the big support also of female lead to the male lead, wherever in the family matters or professional career matter , and we can say that both male lead let their wives which both were by arranged marriage to work and the show their face to public ( which was something unusual back then, and the society criticize the wives who work outside and they should only have to take responsibilities of their husband's house) and I really loved this fact : the husband support wife's career.
