Love in the Air: Overall Thoughts
This show is so beautiful, from the story itself, to the images displayed across the screen. It grabs you in from the beginning and drags you along as the story progresses. Don't think of that as a bad thing; it just means that the story is that much compelling and it's hard to stop watching once your start. The actors are phenomenal, and their chemistry on screen (as well as off-screen) is unbelievable. The way their stories intertwine is something so beautiful to see and something to envy. They show what it's like to have unconditional love around them and how it helps them grow. Also, there are some times where it's difficult to watch due to some present themes, so viewer discretion may be advised. But regardless, this show is definitely one I recommend everyone who loves BL Dramas to watch.Considerați utilă această recenzie?
Sound issues were distracting ?
I’m slowly working through a long list of recommended BLs and this one was near the top. There were parts that I loved (Boss is undeniably hot and a good actor) and parts I didn’t like (sometimes Rain and Sky’s but especially Rain’s behavior seemed silly and a bit of a stereotype.)I honestly couldn’t get behind Rain & Payu’s relationship because I couldn’t see what Payu found so irresistible. 🤷🏻♀️ It just never made sense to me.
Then there’s the sound issues. The sound of cloth rubbing over a mic when characters moved or touched, odd mouth noises that really shouldn’t have been picked up. It’s easy to forgive if the rest of the show rises up. But that wasn’t the case here. Every shift of fabric or skin that the mic picked up took me out of the story.
I’d love to see Boss paired with someone else. It’s interesting to see how many BLs have a really good actor paired with a not great one. It’s just baffling. Or maybe Noeul’s style of acting just isn’t for me. Interestingly when I’ve seen clips of Noeul not acting- it felt more natural and was more appealing than the character Rain 😬
I don’t regret watching this. There were some epic scenes I loved, but I don’t think it holds any rewatch value and that’s ok ☺️

Definitely a "bodice ripper"
LITA is popular for a reason. The chemistry is great, the overall idea pretty good, and the NC scenes are well executed (not that realistic though).MILD SPOILERS BELOW ***
However, I was not surprised when I learnt MAME wrote this because it has everything a teen girl could want in a BL; and not in the best way. The whole bathroom scene with Payu and Rain made me cringe, not to mention it was nonconsensual. There were a lot of other scenes like that making the writing seem pretty juvenile.
I did like the dynamic between Pai and Sky. But Sky's trauma is basically portrayed as a way to progress their relationship, and after he tells Pai about it, the whole situation is glossed over and not revisited.
But, it was a decently light watch and I can definitely appreciate that, and the chemistry between all leads was great. I loved the affection they gave to each other and there are a lot of fluffy scenes. I especially have a soft spot for Sky and P'Pai. Some if the scenes were funny and I liked the friendship between Sky and Rain. I rewatch LITA when I have nothing else to watch, and it's a great way to turn off my brain for a while.

You watch for the first couple, you end for everyone
I will write a pretty short review and it will be biased. This was my first ever BL - I know shocking.
I came to write a review 4 months after I watched it so I can have a more broad understanding of the bl industry and storyline.
I have to say I would recommend this to almost everyone, you have aspects of action, romance, comedy..
The NC scenes are known to be the best.. And rightfully so.
They were executed in in such a beautiful and powerful way.
If you want a fluffy bl - watch this but be aware that it is not as fluffy as it seams. It will break your hart and build it again piece by piece. P' prapai and Sky will show you how relationships can be healthy and loving, how everyone deserves attention and care.
P' payu and Rain's relationship will shoe you true understanding and maturing.
It is not a"cringe bl" even tho some scenes might be hard to watch. It is a true work of art.
I say "watch it" . You will most likely enjoy it. If not you will at least learn more about yourself trough this show

AMAZING chemistry
I really liked the acting and I LOVED the chemistry each actor had with one another. The plot was definitely all over the place at times, but I think that is just because I don't speak Thai. I also like couldnt find the episode where rain got kidnapped so lets just pretend like i watched that part. i liked this show because nothing went wrong between the couples. So i gave it a 10/10 because it was cute and everything was fluffy. Sorry that this review is very vague but i just loved italso this was my first BL that ive watched fully and i have no regrets
English is my first language i just suck at writing so sorry for the grammar errors

MAME delivers a fantastic first half and a troubling second half revolving yet again around assault
It wouldn't be a MAME series without sexual harassment or assault, and isn't that an absolutely terrible line to write. It's at the point now where you have to consider that she is using her writing to gain catharsis for herself or someone she knows, having incredibly intimate knowledge and insisting on having it feature prominently in her work - to the detriment and discomfort of those watching her art when it is inevitably handled poorly.Love In The Air, at a glance, is an interesting concept - two main couples splitting the series in half to dedicate equal airtime and development for their stories, each half based on books by MAME, a prolific Thai writer and CEO of Me Mind Y, a production company famous for adaptions of her works TharnType and Don't Say No. The first 7 episodes cover Love Storm, revolving around first year architecture student Rain, a 19-year-old who is incredibly headstrong, naïve and determined. His car breaks down on the road one stormy evening and he chances an encounter with 20-something Phayu (Thai for 'Storm'), a famous graduate architect from the same university, co-owner of a mechanic workshop with his twin brother Saifah, and personal mechanic to gangster P'Pakin. The last 6 episodes cover Love Sky, which follows Sky, Rain's best friend and fellow architecture student, and Prapai (Thai for 'Wind'), best friend to Phayu, business executive, and skilled motorbike racer. The show explores the development of their relationships and the tribulations each couple go through. Their stories interweave at times, but mostly each half focus on the couple, with little interference from the supporting cast.
PRO's:
- Rain and Phayu's story is a sweet and relatively non-turbulent view into two young men establishing a romantic relationship. As a result, it has been viewed as boring by some fans, because of the lack of drama or 'interesting' elements to their story. Getting into the relationship sees MAME's touch come out, with a slightly consent-dubious scene in the first episode, but Rain and Phayu come together quickly and the rest of the season is spent developing their romance. Their communication and care for each other once established is absolutely breathtaking, setting the standard (in this very narrow lens) for what a good couple looks like
- The NC scenes are absolutely the best I've seen in any series, BL or otherwise. MAME is without a doubt the best at casting some of the best couples, and teasing out the kind of emotional and sexual connection some people can only dream of. Boss and Noeul's scenes will become part of BL history, and Fort and Peat do an excellent job as well, going all in and convincing the viewers that they are physically and emotionally invested in their roles
- The length of each arc suited their stories, and it didn't feel like it dragged or had unnecessary filler at any point
- The soundtrack is excellent, with several songs becoming part of my regular playlist rotation, and the cast can all sing and have 3 songs featured in the story that they all are involved in
- The directing and cinematography was outstanding, with beautiful scenes, fantastic location shots, and working the rain and storms perfectly into the story development; the interweaving of weather reports a great touch as well
- There's nary a guitar to be seen; however there is a kitchen serenade if that's a hard no for you, but Boss Chaikamon can sing very well, and Noeul plays a lovestruck Rain listening to his boyfriend with the right balance of entrancement and 'blushing'
- Peat's acting as Sky. He is given an incredibly tough story to pull off, especially as a rookie actor, and he portrays a broken young man incredibly well, who has worked hard to compartmentalise his trauma and push forward with his life. Fort's acting as Prapai is also good, for the youngest of the cast, and although it shows in some parts, his age serves him the ability to throw himself into his role, with a cheeky smile and charisma that oozes from every pore
- Me Mind Y provides a great amount of behind the scenes footage, releasing after each episode on their Youtube, and they also had the cast sit down for Reaction videos of each episode, several uploaded on iQiyi uncut showing longer reactions to the NC scenes
- Product placement is minimal and to be honest, I can't even recall any of it, so if there is any, it was done very low key and unnoticeable
- MAME is excellent at certain themes, such as bisexuality (non-existent in most other BL's, either being gay or the 'just gay for you' trope), protection (condoms), and supportive family units
CON's:
- Consent is a major issue that hits both couples, much more heavily on the Love Sky arc than the Love Storm, but is present none the less. The first episode sees Phayu misreading Rain's intentions and somewhat forcing himself on Rain, which continues into the second episode, but he does back off at several firm 'no's, so there's that at least. There's also an element of situational manipulation revealed at the end, but Rain seems somewhat alright about it when it's admitted to him. However, the consent issues are so much worse in Love Sky. Sky has undergone intense trauma from an ex-boyfriend, and is very reluctant to open himself up to Prapai, fearing another abusive partner. As a result, his boundaries are consistently blasted through by Prapai, who is a "good guy" and "not the same"-- in some instances I can get behind that, but other ones just had me shaking my head and disengaging from this pair more and more. I don't want to get into specifics, again for the root cause of ruining their half of the story, but be aware if you go into this arc that you will see some situations that will make you uncomfortable, but are painted in a rosy lens by MAME and her directing team, explained away as Sky needing to experience a healthy and loving relationship, of which Prapai can and will provide
- Sky's trauma and story is handled relatively poorly, mostly around Prapai's interactions with him. It's obvious that Sky is not ready for love, and if she was insistent on pushing the narrative, having him as a friend first that blossomed into love under Sky's direction could have seen this go much more positively
- It was nice having each half of the season dedicated to each couple, but I think I would've liked their stories being told together, like it is in a lot of other series. I struggled a lot once Rain and Phayu's story was over, especially since I was seeing situations I didn't like with Sky and Prapai, to stay engaged. I found myself skipping scenes and speeding past parts. Perhaps if the sweetness of Rain and Phayu was being told together with the darkness of Sky and Prapai, it maybe might have been easier to digest
- There is a lot of 'wifey' language with Rain and Phayu once they're established, so if that bothers you, be aware - but this is typical of Thai BL and doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon
Overall, I found myself absolutely exhausted by episode 11 with Sky and Prapai, and my experience watching the Love Sky arc was markedly different than the Love Storm one. Rewatchability and the story's rating is based primarily off Love Storm, and BossNoeul's electric chemistry and undeniable connection carried the show as a whole, with the couple comfortable with each other in appearances, interviews and engagements. I found Peat excellent as Sky, but his storyline was too sad and too filled with MAME's heavy hand and consent issues for me to properly enjoy. I also struggled with Peat and Fort's off-screen connection, seemingly improving the further into their half of the season it progressed, but definitely adding to my inability to truly 'get behind' this couple and their story.
I would recommend to definitely watch Love Storm; if viewers felt they could handle the subject matter of Love Sky, to proceed with knowledge of what was coming.

not everyone's cup of tea but definitely mine!
I have to agree with some people, it does feel like a wattpad story.👀first off I want to talk about what I love and like about LITA.
This bl portrayed the most realistic relationship between two people. what i mean by "realistic" is both sky and rains relationship started with a hook up. I also love that they're show a realistic amount of affection. what i mean by affection is the causal kisses, hugs, and ass grabbing. I could go on and on about the special episode. I loved how the roles were reversed and Rain exposed his kink. I have to mention this even if someone else wrote about in their review. the relationship and chemistry between Boss and Neoul is AMAZING!!!!
In an interview, Boss(payu) that he had asked Neoul (Rain) how far can they go in the intimate scenes, Neoul said “as deep as possible”. They wanted to portay LOVE THROUGH SEX , and that’s exactly what they did.
Now I only have maybe two complaints. I really wish they didn't tell sky and pai's story in the second half of the series. I wish they gave them their own series. it almost felt rushed too.
my second complaint is (tw:SA DV) I wish they gave a warning to sky's past with gun. also I think there was a better way to mention sky's past with gun..

Amazing!
I don't think anything in this review can be classified as a spoiler? It's an amazing show!! I literally fell face first on the floor in love.
It had a typical story line with a bit of a twist. The acting was better than alot of shows i watch. However there is quite a few of 18+ scenes. It was really funny! I wouldn't recommened this to someone watching their first bl show, however depeneding on the tastes of the person definatly for someone that is more into the industry of BL.
So know i have to write more words because it has to contain at least 500 charecters in the reveiw.
Anyways so again great show definatly recommened, to anyone.

ONLY THE FIRST COUPLE AND STORY WAS WONDERFUL!
I'm sorry for what I'm about to write, I'm the first to be disappointed ...The first story was BEAUTIFUL. Everything was perfect:
1. The story was light and romantic.
2. The main actors and their chemistry was just perfect, it seemed as if they knew their whole life!
3. The main character was perfect in every details:
- Phayu: apparently an unreachable cool guy, but at the same time a reliable and serious guy who wants a serious story and is determined to have it.
- Rain: I loved his determination and his way of relying completely on his partner. Unknowingly he found himself in a love story, but then once he got involved he remained loyal and faithful!
I liked how Rain relied completely on Phayu and how Phayu was ready to be the strong shoulder for Rain!
4. I loved the secondary characters too.
For example: I loved the mechanic who works for Phayu, he was too funny ahahah!
I also liked Phayu's brother and how he helped and supported them....
I really liked everything of this first story, I wanted to give the 9.5/10
For me this Bl had to end at the 7th episode, I don't know why they chose to go on!
THE SECOND PART OF THIS BL... HELP!!!
Firstly I want to say that the storyline of the second one had a lot of potential, it also deals with a topic that is certainly more important than the first story...
But the acting...Or rather: Fort was also acceptable, but Peat absolutely not!
I was expecting a different depth and expression from a character like his just because his story was very intense and, honestly, fake tears have ruined everything!
Not to mention the scene of the final episode in which Prapai goes to save Sky and during that scene he fights with that bad boy... the makeup of the blood on that boy's face OH GOSH... it couldn't be more FAKE and the scene itself was missing of sincerity, the fists were clearly fake!
In my opinion they could have worked a little more.
I hope to see Fort and Peat again in another bl soon and I hope they make me change my mind about their acting. Really, I'm sorry because I had high expectations of them and of their story.
I think Boss and Noeul have a much higher level of acting than Peat and Fort. Probably if they had played a plot like that of the second couple the result would have been very different and surely better. Andd then also the chemistry between the actors: Boss and Noeul a whole other level!
Furtermore, I wanted to say: as for the drama in general, I didn't like a few things about the "scenography" such as the voice of the people on the calls... It was too funny to hear that fake voice of the dubbing! Ahahah
So at first I gave 9.5 for the first story, but then the second couple lowered the whole average.
Finally I gave 7.5, but only thanks to the first story... otherwise I would have given 2!

Review from someone who just wanted to watch some BL to pass the time!
I'm going to write this review as a person who watched any BL with a very open mind, even if it is deemed bad to most people. However for this story, I will say it was a nice and also steamy so, if you prefer a more fluff story, this might not be for you. There are fluff moments of course! What I like:
> Two different kind of relationship (although it's typical but hey, we can't all be original) - Shy but try to be dominant x Dominant mechanic and Tsundere boy (controlling the relationship lmao) x Smooth talker but cares for his partner a lot
> Yes there is a lot of X scenes but hey, it gets them famous. And I must say, out of all the thai I have watched, I am very surprise by how INTENSE they went for this. I even panicked when it appear hahah
> Surprisingly no enemy, or at least those typical character (aka a girl or ex girl, or a random dude that likes one of the ML. Unless there is one and I missed them or something oops). There is a bad person but it's more relating to the character's past or some asshole that was jealous of Payu lmao.
For what I don't like, uh, I'm not entirely sure? I really went into this story expecting to not watch it fully because I tend to not watch mature ones, but I was surprise how I was attracted to the storyline and the characters (although, again, they aren't that original, but maybe I just have a type of pairing is all lul)
I would recommend this to those who like to watch a more Mature BL and just something to pass the time with! The story is not that heavy and they resolve their problems in one episode every time which is a blessing in my opinion haha!
