Both have that whodunit story that will make you distrust (or at least be suspicious of) every character. Although they have a different plot, you'll feel the same frustration of not knowing but you would still want the journey of how things will play out.

Both dramas deal around a group of people that is gathering because a supposed deceased person that they all knew named them in their testament. A death occurs and their relations to the deceased get investigated in order to find out who was how associated and involved in it. Both dramas give Agatha Christie novel-vibes. Both have a similar feel and theme.

Both talk about rich families who are in the same house and get involved in a murder case.

Chip-in sets in a family house, with each family member as a suspect. Anata no ban desu sets in an apartment building where all the tenants are suspects.

Beyond Evil and CHIP-IN both start with cases where a group of people could be the culprit. In CHIP-IN the focus lays on the righteous daughter, in Beyond Evil it starts with the righteous new detective. Both team up with someone who they are suspicious off but still work together with.
Throwing around theories and questioning and suspecting everyone at one specific point makes both dramas not only darn gripping but also makes them very similar to one another.

Both dramas are about a rich family and its estranged members. In both dramas the patriarch of the family and president of the company dies and the family members are now out to find out what happened to him and who will inherit his fortune.

Makjang and obnoxiously rich families, and female leads who try to navigate and find the culprits to unjustly murders.
