Insect Totem (2023)

I know you don't like when people die in Republican era drama but please give it a try!!!

Okay so you've read the comments, the ending sucks but despite that everything else is pretty good imo :3
30 eps are neither long nor short but the plot with the whole insect families etc is intriguing!!!
The cast is not very familiar except Hu Bing Qing but their actings are natural and passionate. The music is good, the film filter, the scene set up, the editing in my opinion are not bad at all. Most people gave it bad rating because of the ending mostly lmao that's also the reason I only give it 8.0 for rewatch value. I cried for the ending but at the end there's a surprise for hope and love idk why people ignore that and said the ending is meaningless? Also I was surprised with Hu Bing Qing looks and acting in this drama as I kinda disappointed with her drama Unrequited Love with Hu Yitian. She looks so sassy in Republican Outfits <3
To sum up, PLEASE WATCH IT IF YOU LIKE A GOOD DRAMA ABOUT FAMILY, FRIENDSHIP, BROMANCE, SACRIFICE FOR YOUR LOVED ONES!!!! I will make you cry a bit but in a good way :3

Typical republican era drama But had it's good friendship Angsty scenes

I watched this drama for the male lead only and the trailer made it sound mystical and interesting
few first episodes of a slow-paced story then it picked up a little when the female lead started to become a decent person
not a psychopath
but there were new characters that has a lot of emotional baggage and a light-headed male lead started to love the female lead
There were some good Angsty scenes here and there was also the good male friendship between the male lead and his best friend, I stayed for their friendship,, didn't care about the romance, to be honest and there were multiple couples
overall it was enjoyable to watch sometimes and very boring other times so it's a mix of both
if you really like any of the actors you will enjoy it,, if you don't this drama will be a painful watch for you
There were a lot of family disputes and a lot of people getting injured and sometimes dying but to end up killing every single character in the drama and leave the male lead alone to his old age that's ridiculous and not fair
So decide for yourself whether is it worth watching or not
