This is my first time to write a review. From my point of view, the drama is the love story between the special police and doctor who become each other first love. I love the story and it pursues me to watch till the end from the first episode. I addict that drama so much at the point of I cannot wait to watch more episode. Music is so good. The story, supporting role , interaction with between cast and acting are well balanced. This drama is more realistic and it's worth to spend the time to watch. I already watched up to episode 16 and I didn't sick even a single moment. It's very interesting drama. I will rewatch more whenever I have a free time.

This is the closest of Descendants of the Sun that it can get

And I love it! Yes, the story as a whole has a different development, this being more "daily life" rather than a plot with start, climax and ending. While DotS is more like a very long movie, this is more slow paced, and more relationship-centered.
What is VERY similar are the main characters descriptions: a talented female doctor and a young but successful special forces male.
Overall I feel they each have their strong points. For the chinese series, you get to see their feelings grow and their relationship feels more real. Perhaps you'll get tired of it (unless you're already used to chinese dramas), but I'm pretty satisfied. The actors are good and charismatic, the story shows a lot of the medical part without being boring and in the end we get what we always look for in chinese dramas: couples being so freaking ADORABLE.
The biggest flaw for me is the side couple... girl, you should listen to some BTS and love yourself a little (or a lot) more.

Una grata sorpresa!

Esta historia de amor entre un policía swat i una cirujana es adictiva. Tiene un no sé qué! Cuando empiezas ya no puedes parar. La pareja principal es una monada, su historia de amor es muy tierna , muy dulce, tienen una gran química!!! Ella es cirujana y es esencialmente un ser de luz, bondadosa, cariñosa, humilde, leal, una gran protagonista y él, un policía swat con grandes dotes de mando, muy capaz y talentoso en su trabajo, de apariencia seria y fría, pero en realidad es un hombre tímido , servicial y cariñoso, nada orgulloso ni prepotente, una buena persona. Te lo comerías a besos con sus orejitas y todo, jajajja. De hecho los dos protagonistas se parecen, es un caso en que dos buenas personas de carácter parecido se atraen y se emparejan, son como dos mitades de un mismo corazón. Son el héroe el uno del otro. Hacen una pareja fabulosa! La pareja secundaria también me gusta, aunque a algunos seguidores de la serie les ha parecido por momentos cargante. A mi me hacen reir. Y encuentro muy interesante la pareja madura, a lo largo de los capítulos se desarrolla muy bien su historia de amor. Las escenas de acción y de entrenamiento están muy bien logradas, la camaradería entre el team de swats es fantástica y muy divertida, la vida de Mi ka y sus colegas médicos en el hospital me está gustando mucho, los casos médicos entretenidos, bien actuados los momentos emotivos. Los momentos quirófano mantienen la tensión sin pretensiones. No podemos comparar la recreación de las operaciones quirúrgicas de esta serie con obras maestras del género de las series de médicos coreanas o occidentales. Están hechas de manera correcta y punto. La música me gusta bastante, los exteriores y la fotografía complementan muy bien este drama tan cálido y luminoso. Lo recomiendo muchísimo. Felicidades a todo el equipo por crear esta historia tan entretenida y tan bonita.

22 episódios e; já chprei, ri e me emocionei.

A forma mágica para essa produção foi envolver dois assuntos que gosto muito: medicina e Swat.
A cada episódio parece que gosto mais; a história desse cdrama, os personagens e suas respectiva construções que são dadas passo a passo, e a ost que é simplesmente ótima. me fazem lembrar das grandes histórias de amor a 1° vista e como nasce um amor puro, diante das mais simples situações.
Estou amando este cdrama, pois o enredo não se torna chato ao longo dos episódios, e pelo contrário, a cada episódio fico querendo assistir mais e mais...
A forma como os protagonistas se olham é admirável, ao meu ver, viveria bem os 40 episódios somente com seus olhares. (Quimica? Temos!)

Ps: Tenho meus episódios favoritos já: 01, 07.17,18,19, 21, 21.

This drama is exactly different among the others!

I have seen both DOTS and CLOY, and right now i am watching this drama series. The story is exactly different among the other two. I assure you, just as how you loved CLOY and DOTS, you will surely love this drama more, because i do.... :) <3 <3 <3
I have watched more K-drama, C-drama, J-drama and more. This one makes me feel love and belong. Just as how i had been waiting for the upcoming episodes of CLOY from Netflix before, this drama makes me more excited whenever its Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I've always been waiting for these days of the week.
the characters portrayed very well, just natural and not exaggerated. Tonight i'll be waiting again for the next episodes that they'll be posting, I hope the english sub will be coming out as early as midnight here in the Philippines. I'm so immerse with You are my Hero.

Got Boring Halfway :( Pls Convince Me To Keep Going!

I started this drama because of all the high ratings it had on MDL. But I'm slightly disappointed in myself that I couldn't finish it because it ended up being kind of boring halfway(??) I'm not here to diss this drama because it doesn't deserve that.

Tbh this drama is actually well written in terms of C-drama land. There are little to no trope, cringe moments, there aren't any love triangles and the main girl isn't stupid and indecisive. All the characters are well written, smart, capable and make very realistic human decisions.

The first episode had me reeled in straightaway and I binged the first 10-15 eps. However by the time the main couple got together, it became so boring. Idk about you guys but I thought them being awkward and shy around each other while they were dating was not that cute. They're both portrayed as mature adults that have lived quite past the awkward teenage phase and yes maybe they've never dated before but I thought that aspect of their relationship was slightly disappointing and bland to watch. I honestly lost interest right when they got together.

Another thing that bothered me just a bit was that there were way too many couples in this drama. There's the main couple, the reporter and the other SWAT guy, the doctor and the older sister AND the main girl's best guy friend and girl friend. That's four couples! I feel like they should have used that time and invested it on the main couple to make them more interesting.

This drama tries it's best to steer away from tropes and cringe moments which it deserves much credit for. However to me, it doesn't stand out that much. It's got a decent story, smart characters but it's just lacking that extra spark and maybe a slight bit of comedy and good OST. I think there definitely could be a bit more comedy and it would have added that cherry on top for this drama.

I don't know how the rest of this drama plays out because I dropped it when the main couple got together. If you're reading this and think I should keep going, please tell me!! I don't want to give up on this drama just yet.

this drama was an unexpected gem

Honestly, this onr had been sitting on my watch list for a while, but I had been holding off on watching it because it didn't seem that exciting, I guess? But what a regret!
This drama was simply perfect, the main couple it's just so perfect and cute I can't with them!!! And besides them, we also have 2 secondary couples which are also perfect.
There were some frustrating moments at times, especially some added drama with the introduction of 2 new characters by the end of the drama (they appear around ep 38? if I'm not mistaken), and honestly, that's the only reason I won't give this drama a 10 out of 10, because this 2 characters drove me INSANE. I won't go into spoilers, but I would have felt better if they didn't exist in the story. I was glad things would never go their way, however, the still annoyed the hell out of me and I was so engaged on the show that it strained me a bit to watch their shannenigans lol
Over all, this drama is great and truly a must watch!

Cute and Mature characters elevate a standard story

I really liked this series! The main couple was just so darn cute, and the secondary couples were also great.

The story is not something really new, but what I really enjoyed was the fact that the characters were really mature in how they interacted with each other. They had flaws, and din’t always make the best choices, but overall this show lacked the many of the silly tropes that most Asian dramas resort to.

When the main couple had a disagreement or misunderstanding, I’d get ready for the big blowup and resulted in a pointless breakup. But NOPE! They communicated, expressed their disappointment, but apologized and moved on. I just think this is a very good role model for how couples should treat each other and we don’t get a lot of this maturity in modern dramas. They feel they need the artificial tension to keep folks interested. (Well, OK, people do dumb stuff in real life, and the series can mimic that, but it gets old…)

So, a good story, with healthy mature characters. So a rating of 10 for me.

My one complaint, although I won’t take a point off for it, is the ending was kinda of weak. I am seeing that a lot these days. The ending wasn’t bad, or dumb, just kind of weak. I wanted a bit more to happen to round things off.

But watch it!

Kudos to all the actors for making this believable and enjoyable.

Si sos reacio a los Cdramas este es el indicado para empezar a ver

Como dice el titulo no soy muy fan de los dramas chinos mas que nada porque la variedad que vi siempre tienen actuaciones muy malas, pobres ost y los cliches son muy evidentes pero sin nada nuevo para aportar a la historia y engancharte pero lejos de todos esos dramas de 7 estrellas máximo para abajo llega "You are my hero" para romper con todo y vaya que rompe con todo porque es sin dudas (para mi) el mejor drama chino que vi hasta ahora.
si viste Descendants of the Sun sin dudas este drama te gustara y no los estoy comparando xq aunque tengan similitudes ambos son diferentes entre si y cada uno tiene su propia personalidad. Realmente solo podría decir cosas buenas porque las parejas, las actuaciones, los ost, la tensión, la historia y todo lo demás me parece sencillamente acertado, si pudiera decir algo medianamente negativo es que se muestran muchas cosas importantes que son hermosas pero el drama no nos regala escenas sobre eso como por ejemplo cuando wen bo admite que le gusta qing xia, la madre de el y su relación con qing xia desaparece y hubiera sido lindo ver como ella le cuenta o como cuando qing xia esta embarazada pero no vemos q se lo diga a mi ka para poder compartir la alegría pero bueno estas cosas mínimas no puede empañar el hermoso drama que es You are my hero

DONT MISS THIS OUT!!!

This series is 100% worth watching!
The story tells the importance and struggles of both careers - a special policemen and a doctor. It highlights their abilities and what they can achieve if they put their efforts together. In my opinion, this was done to show people their hardships.
40 episodes…believe me, your time won’t go to waste!
The c-drama /at some point/ was focused more on the jobs rather than the romantic side, which to me, was really nice added and I learned lots of new things from it!
And there are this two side couples who completes everything!

YOU WILL NOT REGRET WATCHING!!

I was so bored and decided to watch a Chinese drama and stumbled upon You Are My Hero. I have to say, this is one of my favorite dramas ever. I’ve watched a lot of Chinese & Korean dramas but this drama is LITERALLY my favorite. I definitely recommend everyone watching this. 10/10 drama

What I really loved about this is that the female lead is smart & strong. I typically don’t enjoy watching dramas where FL’s are portrayed as weak and taken advantage of. But this FL is amazing and I love her so much. The ML did a really good job too. He was amazing and I enjoyed watching him.

Also the chemistry between the ML and FL is AMAZINGGG!! They did so good and I couldn’t stop watching because it really looked as if they were dating IRL.

TLDR: 10/10 drama and would 100% recommend this drama to anyone who has time
