Be With You (2020)

-both have animation industry storyline
-some overlap with architecture class
-older ML , student FL in both
-both cohabitation
-FL friendship with with partner/assistant to draw in both dramas
-Both MLS show early attraction to FL but in a manner that does not divulge their feelings
-no other FLs create havoc in the ML life but he allows it
-feels very similar in use of real life inspiration in drawing comics.

If you like Multi-couple dramas, I recommend watching My Girl. It has three couples in it too, and the chemistry between them is fun to watch.

Another interesting similarity is,
-Both FL have a reason to be around the "cold-arrogant" ML, except, the reason in My Girl is something you don't usually see.

These dramas feel similar because of the male lead in both:
Both MLs are professors but not just professors... they both have an aloof demeanour but are logical and unsure of how to handle love, but at the same time they are pragmatic in their approach. I am not finished Be With You but it looks like it will follow a similar evolution of love and commitment.

While watching both these romances simultaneously I get the same "feel" from both of them.
The FLs are both smart, hard-working and assistants tot he ML
The MLs are both aloof and have the same type of appearance (physically)
There is also a more direct approach from the FL in both dramas to their feelings.

Both are romantic comedies about a girl which is invested into creating romantic comics, but her career is about to fall down the drain, because her editors and readers doesn't think she understands romantic..

Then she meets the male lead and her drowning style starts to change.
Both male leads are very attractive to others and pursued by many..,but staying loyal to the girl.

-FL very forward about her love for the ML
- ML is cold but slowly becomes sweet
-cute and bubbly female lead

The scene from Close Range Love, where Yamapi, the teacher has his female student under the desk and then he is infront of the class, then he purposely drops his pen to be able to crouch under the desk too and kiss this female student under the table, this scene also happens on the drama Be With You...so I feel that these two, the J movie and this C Drama are similar...not so sure about the story but I think on a vague discussion, they could be similar in plot...

Similar kind of vibes. In both FL is energetic and positive while ML is a quiet lone wolf who is hard to approach. The only difference is that 'Be with you' is mostly centering around manhwa company and campus life and 'My Love, Enlighten Me' is concentrating on entertainment world.

Simply put. The girl has a single-minded pursuit for a man she's fallen in love with at the first sight. The girls find ways to ensnare themselves into the lives of the guy, compliment their career to his. Their families get involved --- ie "GRANDPA".
There aren't really other players intervening into the relationship to cause problems.

Rather than programming & gaming. We're looking at architecture & manga/art (world) which was specifically pointed out in ep. 2.

Based on character personalities:
1. Girl - bubbly & Cute/ Guy - "Appears" cold but reasonable, overprotective; ill-mannered at times.
2. Girl - falls in love at first sight/ Guy - shocked but isn't annoyed by her pursuit
3. Granpa is all in for his grandson to be in a relationship & approves of her.
4. Both girls have Nian as their first names. ^_^

Lots of similarities w/ a few tweaks here and there. I love them both.

the male lead is a professor in a university and also runs his own company and the female lead is straightforward and savvy in her replies.

Similar: - Alpha male! Who doesn't love or fantasies about an alpha male?
-Innocent and pure FL. She stands true to her feelings.

She does a lot of the chasing, which I love love love! and finally got her man.

He is cold, smart, determine, strong and rich. Perfect!!

I also love how each side kick couple have their own love story line. Bonus!

I think personality traits of female lead and male lead are similar in both dramas and the type of industry they work in. Male characters come off as very cold and strict with everything around them and it starts to change towards the end. Female leads are silly and bold. Both are slow burn romances
