OH.MY.NUGGETS!

Ok for starters i can't believe i ever considered never watching this. I thought that it would be boring and i'd drop it way to quickly. Turns out i was hooked on the first episode. This drama is honestly a masterpiece. Chemistry between the main couples, check. Great acting, check. Awesome music, check. And the effects! My gosh they were honestly beautiful. Si feng looked heaven like (pun intended) with his wings. The characters were amazing and the actors did an amazing job playing them. Honestly the drama had it all for me. The misunderstandings are a little frustrating at times but once they get resolved i'm happy again. Fantastic drama. I will definitely re visit this one. Worth every episode!!! Plus BEST ENDING EVERRRRRRRR!

Must watch xianxia with love, humor, tears and angst

Story 10/10:
ML Yu Sifeng’s character is so loyal, self sacrificial, good at martial arts - basically everything that makes girls swoon over! FL Chu Xuanji is basically a typical FL - naive, aloof, doesn’t trust ML but I guess that is how the story goes and what makes the ML stand out. She does get more mature at the end, and I particularly love her interactions with TengShe! The supporting casts also play a big role - e.g. Xiao Yinhua, Wu Zhiqi, Tengshe added a lot of flavour and laughter to the show. Major twists in the show, that makes you binge watch episode after episode!
I didn’t particularly like the storyline for the second couple - could do with less of how Ling Long was mentally tortured etc. As with all cdramas, it always starts slow and but it definitely gets more interesting past the first 5-10 episodes. But overall, 10/10 storyline that makes you laugh and cry with many heart aches in between. MUST WATCH YOU WILL NOT REGRET

Cast/Acting: 10/10
Cheng Yi as Yu Sifeng: Cheng Yi’s acting here is really *chef kiss*. You can literally see emotions in his eyes, the love he has for the FL and emotional pain he goes through. Was really impressed at his character change when he acted as Mosha Xing - cold demeanor yet with aura. Kudos also to the many ways he can portray pain and vomiting blood.
Bai Shu as Teng She: Our comedic relief in this angsty love story! He brings out the character really well, with subtle movements to act like a snake.
Crystal Yuan as Chu Xuanji: She manages to switch character pretty well - considering she has to act naive then also as a strong God of War.
Everyone’s acting as really really good here!! Special shout out to Xiao Yinhua for her beautiful crying scenes.

Music: 10/10
The OSTs will grow on you :)

Tops all xianxia romance series to me

I'm rarely a fan of romance series but this did it for me. Everything is just so perfect. The acting, scenery and the dynamics between the characters... I'm speechless. I'm really pleasantly surprised that I would like it this much to leave a review. I was so glad I gave it a chance because I put off watching this after my disappointment over ashes of love. (! Unpopular opinion lol) Reviews for ashes of love were so great that I started watching it on netflix (didn't like it throughout) and forced myself to sit through it (didn't like it after watching the entire series either. Then love and redemption came up on netflix and boy I am so happy I watched it. Other than the characters and background settings, nothing else was like ashes of love. This is far better and the plot, acting and the chemistry between the leads were off the hooks. To me, this tops even eternal love. That's just how good it is. If you were to rewatch it, you'll find many details as well so to me, that's a win.🏆
The only other drama that sits on the level of a perfect 'series' to me is Nirvana in Fire.
Now I'll have a hard time looking for another series that is just as perfect 😫😫

oh wow. too good.

prepare to fall in love.
mr. sifeng is the perfect male lead. the progression of the main couple's relationship is genuine and gradual, and each member of the couple has understandable motivations. the balance between them never seems unequal and sifeng never, even once, says or does anything weird to offset the relationship balance. since a major theme in the drama is trust, or the lack thereof, it should be noted that the trust between sifeng and xuanji for the majority of the drama is amazing unshakable. each refuses to believe significant statements until they hear it from the other's mouth directly (specifically in regards to the nature of their relationship or the other's intentions). because of this, nearly 100% of the turmoil that arises in their relationship is due to external factors, i.e., respective sects and families.
absolutely incredible, binge-able drama with completely endearing main leads. there is also a delightful bl side-plot between teng she and the green dragon heavenly general. finally, look out for an AMAZING time in episode 52 when they almost get it on but sadly cannot due to sifeng's nearly-dead body, mind, and soul. (look up the uncensored version ; thank me later)

Ultimately satisfying, although there's some not great stuff in the middle

Love and Redemption deals with many of the same issues that are present in other dramas of the same genre, namely fate, curses and undying love; but I think it does it in an ultimately kinder way (even if it doesn't always seem like it while watching) and with a somewhat more contemplative bent.

This is a love story first and foremost, and as far as love stories go it's quite good. There are draggy parts and repetitive parts, but these things pop up in all of these types of dramas so it comes with the territory. I do get tired of watching the male lead vomit blood, but there are worse sins a drama could commit than that.

Ultimately, I really loved the female lead (even if she was unnecessarily ditzy sometimes). We never once forgot while watching that she is incredibly powerful, and even when she's making mistakes or having problems, it usually comes from her not fully have context or understanding of what her path ahead should be, rather than her powers being unavailable to her. Many times we watch her just kick ass with no remorse, and her rage is one of the most powerful things in the universe. I actually really loved that. She is a warrior, no ifs or buts.

Their romance has trials and tribulations but I kept rooting for them throughout. They have great chemistry and have a real sincerity that I think helps when some of the plot shenanigans are getting overwhelming. Also, their dynamic is on the whole I think quite healthy, which is nice.

The ending was also very satisfying. I loved that no one died. It wasn't about vanquishing the great evil, but rather, about recovering your heart and realizing you were wrong and owning up to your mistakes. Really, the whole drama criticized the idea that all demons are evil and all mortals are good, which has often seemed far too simplistic for me. I was very pleased with the ending, because it actually delivered me something with intention, rather than just slapping together a conflict resolution, giving me a kiss scene and calling it a day.

Overall, worth your time. Not perfect, but worth your time.

The plot is quite interesting, but the complication of the story not very significant ,and look like pushy

When watching this film there is a feeling of watching ashes of love, eternal love, the untamed, listening snow tower



## xuanji,, quite fit to the innocent greeky role, and it doesn't look too gross,,,,especially in the last episode when the expression changed from god of war to sifeng to xuanji to sifeng ,,,i admire it very much,,, but I don't really agree with the role at the end of the episode when they have children but Xuanji instead becomes a childish character again ,,even though when xuanji remembered the memory of god of war he was quite an adult role



## The same scene continued, leadmale was stabbed, vomited blood, stabbed vomiting blood, who knows how many bags of fake blood he drank.

## hao chen,, a role that complicates the problem in the story ,, it is so annoying, for the first time feeling male roles can be that annoying ,nice acting, nice emosional effort

keep repeating the same flashback scene, wouldn't it be better if the flashback was different? Or display the continuation of the flashback?,,wasted scene ,,


somehow I feel after episode 7 the details are lacking, like observers of the drama editing process is different people


I think because of the flashback, the compilers of the story are confused, that's why the stories are not in line,


the scene shown is not as complete as the initial episode and rather than being shown, it is more being telling



I feel that many of the roles that were presented in the previous dialogue were the wrong people
-As xuanji said about the vase to mingyan, but when it was discussed sifeng like him and xuanji talked directly to sifeng

O que há de melhor!

É O MELHOR!!! Campeão de tudo, é o suprassumo das produções chinesas, simples assim. Que OST MARAVILHOSA, o tema de abertura é demais!
Que história sofrida, daquelas que tu sabes que vais sofrer, mas que tens que ver até onde vai, e vai longe, mas mesmo assim, sei que vais amar! Como é bonito ver o amor dele por ela, a descoberta dela dos sentidos e do amor, que se desdobra em amores, são dez no total!
Os vilões são vilões mesmo, mau que é mau, e dissimulado que é dissimulado, ah, que raiva dessa gentalha!
E um comentário especial sobre o personagem Teng She interpretado elo ator Bai Shu, a cobra branca. Que show de interpretação!!! Ele é um ponto positivo que vale a pena conferir, me alegra só de lembrar dele!!!

Love and Redemption has an amazing cast as well as an amazing storyline. I usually don't watch dramas like this because they're never able to catch my attention but this drama was so captivating that I couldn't resist watching. From beginning to end, there was always some element of surprise or conflict that kept your curiosity going. I'd find myself watching one episode after another even at 3 in the morning. Despite it having a fascinating storyline, I could only give it a 9.5/10 because there were parts in there that I wished would progress a little faster or that I thought were an unnecessary contribution to the storyline. It also took awhile for Xuanji and Sifeng to get the happy ending they deserved after many misunderstandings between them. I also do wish that we got to see more of their future rather than just seeing the last 5 minutes of the drama be their happy ending. I also really liked the side couple of Linglong and Minyan. It was so touching how he followed her through thick and thin and never gave up on her even when she wanted to give up on herself. One other huge element that I loved about this drama was that our God of War was a woman rather than a male which they usually are in most dramas. Kind of a powerful feminism element in this. This drama also contained a message to the public that I think us as humans should always keep in mind (I like to read deeper into things lol). In some ways it told us that we should never look at what's just at the surface of things as depicted by Xuanji and Sifeng's misunderstandings and there's a root of good in even the most evil (with exceptions) shown through the Star of Mosha's friendship with Bailing and when he saved Sifeng at the end. Also that sometimes even when we believe we're doing what's good for humanity, we're actually causing more harm than helping (shown through Bailing's actions). Honestly it surprised me what amazing chemistry the FL and ML had on screen. The kisses that they shared on screen were so realistic that I could believe that they had something going on in real life haha (they weren't like those emotionless kisses that usually happen in dramas). They were picked perfectly for their roles and I would not have it any other way. I highly recommend this drama everyone even if you're usually not into these categories of the drama; it's worth giving it a shot.

To sum it up in bullet points:
• Storyline was well written and always included some element that kept your curiosity at its peak.
• Some parts were unnecessary to progression but not too many so that's good.
• Xuanji and Sifeng's happy ending took awhile to get to.
• Wish it showed more of Xuanji and Sifeng's happy ending but still cute.
• Linglong and Minyan made a cute side couple.
• Really liked that our God of War was a woman instead of male like usual (small powerful gesture of feminism).
• Contains messages that we should all remember (if you want to read deeper into things).
• Chemistry between FL and ML was absolutely amazing.
• Highly recommend that everyone gives it a shot.

OST: The OST wasn't the most catchy but I really enjoyed the song in the beginning. It went especially well with scenes where Xuanji showed her God of War personality to protect Sifeng and her loved ones. Overall though, the OST was suitable to the drama and the scenes that they were paired with. Powerful song with powerful scene and loving song with loving scene.

Acting: As stated before, FL and ML chemistry were amazing. Their on screen kisses showed so much chemistry/emotion that it seemed so realistic unlike those monotone kiss scenes in most dramas. Their acting was phenomenal and they played their roles so well. This was actually the first time I saw a drama with our ML in it and while he isn't the most handsome hunk, he was perfectly chosen for this role. Quiet and sentimental yet powerful. I've seen our FL in one other drama so I was iffy about her but she surprised me so much in this drama. Her naive and cute personality in the beginning but how she was able to also transform into the powerful God of War when she needed to while retaining her cute personality was absolutely captivating. She had amazing facial expressions whether she was acting cute and naive or powerful. I look forward to seeing them both more in future dramas.

Ending: The ending was happy but it was a bit short so I wish we got to see more of Xuanji and Sifeng's future as well as Linglong and Minyan's. It was cute what we got to saw and it proceeds to have the happy ending that many of us hoped for. I do believe that there is a S2 in making for Love & Redemption that is set in modern times but I personally believe that this drama doesn't need a S2. I think I like Xuanji and Sifeng's romance in historical timing better but it's hard to say without seeing S2.

Rewatch Value: I would and will definitely be revisiting this drama in the future. I really enjoyed everything about it and I hope to see more dramas like this in the future.

You will suffer

I have to say that the acting of the ML surpassed my expectations. He now takes a special place in my heart. I was suffering together with him... And that is the reason I didn't like the ending.
Despite that they finally got together, I didn't feel that this was enough to overpay what this Hero went through. Final series were a little riduculed and I couldn't help but skip till I see what's coming next. Thats why there cannot be a full 10/10. Definitely not enough to be called a happy ending.
Cheng Yi... I have never cried so much in my entire life... His godlike acting is beyond description.

Before you watch this drama make sure to control your emotion.

The drama start with Chu Xhuan Ji FL ( a god) which was emotional less created by Hao Chen in a illegal way and send into the mortal world .later on she meet the ML Yu Si Feng which help her to regain the past memories and emotions . While he suffered many obstacle on the way .
I don’t know why people don’t judge by looking at their deep intension .The way all the sect people tourture Si Feng and wronged him every time makes me heartbreak .Sometimes I often thought of skipping the episode but at last i watch it all.Hopefully he didn’t hold the light of the devil.
I don’t think all the people become bad without a reason.The character Wu Tong wasn’t bad at all .At the beginning though he did some mistake he can be improved but all the sect people tried to kill him rather then giving him a chance or to improve.Later on he doesn’t have any option rather than to become evil. Somehow it shows our society how they pressure other people .
Although the ending is good but was it worth it for Yu Si Feng to endure all the pain for Chu ji? The pain was too excessive from the beginning till last .

The music are also good.

Acting - I love the way Cheng yi acted the most with all the scence very pertect while the supporting role also did thier best .

A beautiful story about two lovers overcoming hardships and staying true to each other.

If I had to sum up this show in one word, it would be: BREATHTAKING.
I loved everything about this drama. Starting from the world, the costumes, the scenery and the characters. I was in love the moment I started watching the first episode and was immediately captured by the story revolving around Xuanji and Sifeng. Starcrossed Lovers doesn't even come close to describing this tragic couple. I normally don't cry as much watching tv shows as I used to but these two rendered me speechless and turned me into a sobbing mess at times. Sifeng is one of those characters you can't even help but adore and love. Cheng Yi did an incredible job in portraying a tortured young man just trying his best.This self sacraficing cinnamon roll didn't deserve any of the shit he went through, giving up everything for Xuanji so many times. He went through torture, a world of ice, numerous lives being reborn in the human realm while getting killed by the one woman he loves more than himself, seemingly destined to die in each life when he gets even remotely close to said woman. I cried with him, for him, for their tragic love. Crystal Yuan as Xuanji was impeccable as well. Their chemistry on-screen was phenomenal and thus I melted a little every time Sifeng gave Xuanji one of his rare smiles or looked at her in adoration.
The side characters made this drama even more enjoyable, especially Linglong's side arc. I kind of saw myself in her a little and really felt for her. Sifeng's familar, the snake girl (I forgot her name) had me feeling frustrated at times but all she did was for the most selfless reasons and it made me sob.
The soundtrack was perfect and fit each scene incredibly well, especially the emotional ones.

Yeah well, to end this review: This show is a sobbing feast and everyone should suffer the way I had to suffer :)))
