Okay let me just tell you how good this series was. After watching some e-sports themed chinese drama, I've been searching for some related chinese drama with the same theme that could interest me to watching it but I failed to find some not until I was browsing on youtube, I stumbled on this series. And as far I can remember, that was maybe twice or thrice? I kinda don't recall how many times. Then, I thought to myself, why not try to watch some sports themed c-drama? So, first things first, I watched the trailer. Ice hockey and figure skating don't interest me that much but what keeps me proceeding to watching this was how interesting the main lead. And yes! This drama didn't disappoint me at all. This keeps me going until I finished all the episodes. This was so interesting and cute! Their chemistry was so interesting and I loved the progress of their relationship! Of course, this does not focus on romance only because it has elements that everyone could relate to or could inspire or could enlighten us especially about our dreams and how do we make decisions in life that could affect us and the people surround us. Overall, the series was pretty good and I recommend you to watch this one.

One word, AMAZING! This drama is honestly one of the best Chinese drama I've ever watched, one that isn't too overly cringe on their romance. Their acting skills are superb and I was able to feel every kind of emotions throughout the drama. It got me so hooked that once I finished watching, I felt empty as if my life literally ends with it.

First of all, the plot is just so inspiring and heartwarming at the same time. It is rare for a drama to place their main focus on sports, and it actually got me interested in Ice Hockey and Figure Skating! It teaches us that even with the various setbacks, we can still get back up, to pursue after our dreams. Also, the friendships made and the character development of every character is so good!

Secondly, the cast. The main characters have amazing chemistry, and I can't help but gush over how cute Yu Bing is when he loves Tang Xue. From the Weibo account to his facial expression, how can anyone not love him?! Also, l love it when the main girl isn't those weak characters as portrays in every other typical drama. This also makes the drama stood out other than the plot.

Lastly, how can I miss out on the music? Sang by Steven (aka Yu Bing) just makes everything a lot more amazing. Also, the song "Ordinary Road" matches the drama so well!! And let's not miss out on the song "snow and ice", because the song is so beautiful!!

I definitely recommend this drama where you can laugh and cry with the characters!!

You Learn A Lot

Please, I'm writing this after rewatching the drama and wiping my tears away again. This is truly a well-written story with plenty of life lessons. The actors that were cast, play their roles wonderfully to the point of making you cry no matter how many times you rewatch it. Also like being a good actor is one thing and then on top of that, the chemistry and ability to work well together is another. I really loved all the interactions and storyline in this. I loved how it was about doing what you want. About being happy. Who cares if you fail? As long as you did what you wanted happily to the best of your abilities that's all. Happiness was attained, it's not like you can take your trophies and medals in the afterlife, happiness is what you'll take. So I just really liked how it was about doing what makes you happy. And it was really nice to see how everyone went on their own ways and whether they succeeded or not they were happy. I thought that was a very complete lesson to learn. Anyways lessons aside the sweet romance of all the characters were enjoyable as well as the deep talks they had about pursuing their dreams. You'll really feel motivated watching this. Highly recommend!!

Nothing about this series was noteworthy

The most interesting character in this drama was the actual ice rink, others annoyed me to no end, particularly the leads. I can't quite place my finger on the reason I ended up disliking the series but it didn't help that both the first and second leads had zero chemistry. In addition, I've come to dislike the sycophancy in most C dramas, especially when support characters continuously heap praise on the lead stars for either being handsome or talented or rich or having a straight nose or being tall or whatever other characteristics made the studio cast the actor in the first place.

It's juvenile and instantly breaks the fourth wall for me. Skate into love felt like a high school drama and even the hockey matches that made the plot somewhat exciting were few and far between which made me lose interest very quickly.

Assista quando estiver desistindo de si mesmo

Vou resumir para você antes de fazer todo o meu discurso:
Se você procura uma série muito fofa e que te faça suspirar, enlouquecer e se apaixonar, mas que não seja enrolada... talvez não seja a melhor opção. Os melhores episódios estão mais próximos do 20+ e a história não é tão bem desenvolvida. Porém, se você procurar um dorama que te faça ter motivação e confiança em si mesmo, esse é o ideal. Se você procura um dorama que te faça suspirar com tanta fofura e química (mesmo que tenha que esperar uns 20 episódios para isso), também é aqui que você encontra. Se você está disposto(a) a tolerar esse andamento e aproveitar, tenho certeza de que toda a motivação que você precisa para chegar aonde quer será entregue a você.
PS: faço um destaque para a produção do dorama que foi s e n s a c i o n a l. Cada cenário bem construído e até os efeitos especiais foram perfeitos.


Sou do tipo que ama um dorama bem fofinho e intenso, com uma história que não fique enrolando para chegar no ponto crucial. No entanto, esse dorama é, em muitas partes, o oposto do que eu realmente gosto.

História:
Demorou para chegar no ponto em que eu queria, muitas cenas foram desnecessárias, certas intenções de certos personagens só foram transmitidas por completo uns episódios depois, não houve um aprofundamento em si na história (Fora que há motivações estranhas para certas atitudes por parte de alguns personagens).

Porém, esse dorama é aquele tipo de série que você deveria realmente assistir se você está em um estado de desistência de si mesmo. Eu estou em uma situação que demanda um certo esforço meu e não encontrava a motivação necessária, mas esse dorama realmente foi um desses que acrescentou algo em minha vida. Justamente por isso, eu vou recomendar com certeza para você que está numa dessas situações.

ATUAÇÃO:
Não tenho palavras. Eu não sei os outros, mas eu senti uma química inexplicável entre o casal principal. Com certeza é um desses doramas em que você guarda no coração com tantas cenas meigas e significativas.

Musical:
Encontrei TANTAS músicas boas nesse dorama. Elas se encaixaram P E R F E I T A M E N T E com as cenas designadas e com certeza é o tipo de música que eu escutaria em qualquer situação para relaxar mais.

Voltar a ver:
Confesso que não sou de voltar a ver alguns doramas. Eu tenho que gostar REALMENTE do negócio para reassistir. Ainda sim, a probabilidade de eu procurar os meus momentos favoritos (ou até os episódios) para sentir aquela necessidade de "eu posso alcançar este sonho" é de 100%. Não há dúvidas que toda a motivação que recebi hoje será revista sempre que eu sentir necessidade de algo que me faça acreditar em mim mesmo.

No geral:
A série é ruim quanto ao que se diz andamento no início. Tem pontos muito legais no início, mas não é algo tipo UAAAU. Porém, esse é o tipo de dorama que me fez ficar ansiosa pelo próximo episódio e me fez ficar apreensiva na hora de chegar no clímax de algo. É um dorama com MUITA química, MUITA fofura e MUITO amor. Fora isso, a trilha sonora também é fantástica e é notável (você percebe a importância daquela música). É o tipo de dorama que eu levo para a vida.

a rom-com drama that follows every asian drama rom-com traditions

(I haven't finished the drama yet, and will watch the rest to complete this review, but this is what I have so far)

Why I titled my review that way, I'll explain all that in this review:
- The most important thing is how ML and FL have that "accident", I'm sure you all know how all rom-coms have an accident where ML saves FL from falling, or they both have accidental fall which results in an act of affection; which in this case, a kiss.
- They have a helicopter mom who is very close minded and have an obsessive disorder (Yu Yan's mom)
- Multiple love triangle. In this case, the drama has too many love triangles, rectangles, or even more, that I lost count. If you put it on a pin-board, it's going to look like a spider's web ngl.
- Childhood friend and coincidentally reunited cliche (as if they're meant for each other or may even call it destiny)
- Enemies to lovers

As for the characters, as much as I wanted to like them, almost none of them are likeable. I think I only like Tang Xue (FL) and Yu Yan (2nd ML) so far. But to explain the rest of the main characters:

- Li Yu Bing (ML): I don't hate him, but I don't love his character either. From the beginning, he bullied FL because he had a traumatic past which led him to bully FL. I understand the reasoning behind his actions, but still, his bullying got too far. I'd say if he bully FL in acts of revenge like this, doesn't it make him the same person he hate? After he's done with the bullying, he suddenly have attraction to the FL? I find the character a little inconsistent, but totally not impossible, just a tad confusing.

- Biang Cheng: I have no words. He's just too impossible for me to like his character, or even understand him. I get it if he's feeling guilty over FL's sports accident, but if he were to pursue FL again, he might bring the incident all over again. Plus, I hate the way he treats FL as if he's pursuing a business deal. Pursuing love should not be forced nor be political. Making evil schemes and plans should only get her further away from him. He's either so dumb, or totally have narcissistic god-complex, where he thinks all girls are drooling over him.

- Zhou Ran (FL's cousin): I don't like her attitude, I don't like her style choices, I don't like her voice, just everything. Nothing to do with the actress, which I actually find her pretty, but I can't stand her voice. Her voice sounds like there's a rock that's stuck in her throat for real. I'm from a Chinese descendant, and I still have problems where I find it uncomfortable with people speaking like that intentionally. Do people really dig that kind of stuff? I don't cringe towards people who has natural voice like that, but in this case, you can obviously tell the voice was intentional. Moreover, I can't stand people who are pretentious like that.

- BONUS: Yu Yan's mom: I feel like it's necessary to talk about her as a rant. She might be given as the worst mother in Chinese drama history, maybe more than Dao Ming Si's mom from Meteor Garden lol. I can't even explain her character, just pure evil. I don't usually laugh at serious matters, but when she called out FL to talk, I actually laughed at the whole conversation because it's soo absurd. She told FL that FL has a sharp tongue, when she herself has trash in her mouth (when she brought up FL parents in the conversation saying that they didn't educate her well).

As for the drama entirely, I don't think it is something memorable nor something new, at least not yet (because I haven't finished the drama), but it was somewhat enjoyable. I don't know why, but this drama didn't hook me completely, since I ended up skipping a lot of parts and lost-focus sometimes. Moreover, the lip-syncing is seriously giving me too much cringe, especially where they had the school festival thing where students get to perform, in which, I totally blame the director. Is it hard to film a video where the lips match the song? If they were to do a lip-syncing scene, just play the damn song while shooting the scene and make the actors sing accordingly like when they do in music videos - and when they edit, just match the song to the person's mouth. What is so hard about that? Even me as a 13 years old back then - had to make a music video as part of a computer course assignment - can edit wayy better than this lip syncing. Do better! seriously

However, if you love romcom drama who follows cliches by the book, this drama might be for you.

I didn't finish it since visual is quite an important factor for me in dramas and the FL's looks made me wanna cry so i just couldn't stand it. But the storyline in general,acting and sets were on point. Whenever i decide to drop a drama i just go to next episodes and skip forward to see if it's worth it for me to continue/if something's gonna change my mind but no the FL never got rid of that ponytail ☠️ Anyhow i don't think this series should've been that long either the ML already fell inlove like 8-10eps in. Rest is just him trying to fight his feelings at this point. Storyline is good since it's realistic but honestly it isn't anything that special either just your average chinese drama. It is better than a lot of other dramas tho. So definitely worth a shot if you don't mind a dragging series with a good budget.

only young actors are this bold & genuine

It's quite the average story of coming of age while finding your - first - love, but it's totally well written and the young actors are SO HANDSOME AND TALENTED at the same time!? That you cannot but wonder how this little miracle happened...
Despite being a long, 40-episode series, i hardly ever got bored, since episodes are short and also filled with NICE DETAILS OF EVERYDAY COLLEGE LIFE.
I totally enjoyed this unpretentious ride. It has got everything, from high-class cinematography to eye-candy actors and entertaining plot. It's predictable in a good way...
I wonder what filters Chinese movies use, all actors' skin looks paper white.
Recommended.

NOTA GERAL: 8/10

Patinação e amigos de infância? Pode contar comigo! Patine até o amor é uma obra divertida e descontraída, sendo que o maior defeito dela é o número exagerado de episódios para contar tão pouca coisa. Se você decidir assisti-la, recomendo que veja aos poucos para não se cansar demais.

• História (7,5/10): Como um drama de esporte, é natural que o roteiro não seja muito original, mas ainda consegue entregar conflitos interessantes a serem enfrentados pelos personagens e construiu relacionamentos bem desenvolvidos.

• Visual (9/10): Patinação no gelo é algo lindo e eles conseguiram traduzir isso bem aqui. Além da direção maravilhosa sobre o gelo, eu tenho que elogiar os figurinos dos personagens e os belos cenários, especialmente durante as cenas noturnas. Outro detalhe divertido é as roupas combinando dos casais, algo bem fofo.

• Som (8/10): Muito bom, as músicas são usadas no momento certo e são cativantes.

• Personagens (8/10): O elenco é legal, mas os triângulos amorosos são um pouco irritantes, e esse drama tem muito disso. Acompanhar a jornada dos protagonistas em busca de seus sonhos, por outro lado, é o que me manteve assistindo esse drama até o final. Vale ressaltar que o casal do médico e da veterinária merecia mais tempo de tela (eles tinham muita química!), inclusive a confissão deles foi mais bonita do que a dos personagens principais.

• Entretenimento (7,5/10): Divertido, mas ficou arrastado depois de o casal principal começar a namorar. Podia ter mais patinação e menos casais secundários, além de encurtar o número total de episódios.
