Both movies are very clever and funny. Both have students from elite families trying to out wit the other students. Both have very exaggerated over acting and facial expressions that actually make them both more fun to watch. Watching the gambling matches in Kakeguri were actually pretty intense. But the card game in Kaguya-sama also had high-stakes of it's own. Minami Hamabe and Kanna Hashimoto, what more do you need? <3
Teiichi is comparable to Kaguya as both are elites who are proud, competitive and strategic in their plans. The difference lies in their motive. While Teiichi is vying for the position of becoming president, Kaguya, is ploying to make the President confess to her. They are also unintentionally funny, and that's one of the reasons why I like these two movies so much.
Note: If you haven't seen the anime of Kaguya-sama: Love is War, it is definitely better since it is longer (it already has 2 seasons). But of course, I still appreciate the live action.

Kaguya, Miyuki and Reiko won't stand being the one who confesses their feelings to their love ones. Kaguya and Reiko are both rich heroines who are doing extreme measures to be with their crush. Reiko is not that subtle compared to Kaguya, though. I love Love is War better because Miyuki is as prideful as the female lead, it simply makes it better.
A prestigious private high school has students who rank academically at the top of the nation. The school's student council president is Miyuki Shirogane and their student council vice-president is Kaguya Shinomiya. They are attracted to each other, but do not confess their feelings for each other due to their stubborn pride. About a half a year has passed since they have kept their feelings private. Now, Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya think the person who confesses first will be the loser. They both think of ways to make the other person confess first.
