Strong Woman Do Bong Soon (2017)

Fun, crazy, over-the-top, cutesy romance, crime, superhero action, girl power story. The show is a mashing together of many different types of stories.The main reason to watch it is that it is the cutest, swoony-est romance that I have seen in a long time -maybe even ever. The couple is so adorable. The 3 main leads are all really good. Ahn Min Hyeok especially is so cute when he is acting all goo goo over Bong Soon and their PDA scenes are really amusing. It's hilarious to watch. The romance is really cutesy but it grows and deepens into something really touching as the story progresses.

Then there is the dark serial killer storyline that is not that different in tone than an episode of SVU. It adds some drama and danger to the main romantic storyline. There is the fun superhero action story aspect where you get to see a girl getting the best of everyone and being the main hero instead of the guys. There is the slapstick gangster storyline which was funny sometimes, but sometimes not so much.

It can be a jarring mashup, but overall it is a fun show if you don't take it too seriously. If you have a low tolerance for a slightly overactive plot, slapstick humor or dark crime you might not like it. But I loved it and looked forward to each episode. It's the funnest most romantic show I've seen in awhile.

"i laughed a lot"

In the beginning, I wasn't really into this drama, but as the episodes progressed, I started to like this drama because the acting of the cast was amazing, all of them were cool, like they were all naturally funny. Moreover, Bok Tae's gang and the school geng, made this drama more funny with their absolutely hilarious behavior. And big respect for Mr. Kim Woon Hae for acting 2 charachter, in my opinion, he is the busiest person in this drama, Awokawok, he is a boti, mummy, and many more. The presence of Mr. Kim makes this drama more exciting. Basically, respect Mr. Kim. Continue to the main cast. Their acting is naturally funny, and the chemistry between the two of them really clicks, making it really fun to watch. and now on to the story
In my opinion, the story is unique because it has romance comedy but it is interspersed with thriller so that the power of the bong bong can be explored more deeply and according to me, the director has a solid finishing in this drama, almost all the scenes seem like there is no use, even though there are scenes that are not useful, they are definitely made. It's funny so you don't get bored, so it's a good job, Mr Director.
Lastly, I just want to let you know that this drama really makes you feel really comfortable with the various unique behavior of the characters and the jokes are not dry so I don't regret watching this drama.
Basically, this is the best drama

It is the kind of drama...

It is the king of drama that if you like it your love it and if you don't you start up give it a D- grade. The story was okay, predictable and sometimes slow but overall it was nice the auirky romance of our leads was awesome the only thing that made you stick through this series was the romance and comedy.

I must say that the thriller was definitely not one of the points to watch the story but the romance made up for that and before you know it boom 5 episodes are just swept away.

One of the best things was that the story never lost its focus from our female lead and had a pretty satisfying end but the villian was a drag it was gripping at the start but towards the end it was unbearable I mostly skipped all the scenes of the villian.

So in conclusion it is a pretty good story you will easily get swept by the leads and just to see them together you will complete the whole series a 100% garuntee

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon é um drama que tinha tudo para ser cativante, mas acabou entregando uma experiência inconsistente. A série começa com uma premissa divertida: Do Bong Soon, uma jovem com uma força sobre-humana, tenta equilibrar sua vida entre proteger aqueles que ama e manter sua identidade em segredo. O drama segue o estilo leve e romântico, lembrando um pouco Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, mas sem o mesmo charme e fluidez.

Apesar de ter uma boa química entre os protagonistas – Park Bo Young como Bong Soon e Park Hyung Sik como o CEO Ahn Min Hyuk – e ambos entregarem ótimas atuações, a série se perde ao longo do caminho. O enredo começa promissor, misturando romance e comédia, mas falta um planejamento mais incisivo sobre que direção seguir. O que poderia ter sido uma história envolvente acaba caindo em uma mistura de gêneros, com uma trama paralela de crime que não convence.

O vilão da história, um criminoso que sequestra mulheres, é simplesmente desinteressante e mal desenvolvido. Ao invés de adicionar tensão ou suspense à narrativa, essa linha dramática parece deslocada, tornando a série mais cansativa e dispersa. A leveza e o humor que funcionam tão bem no começo acabam sendo prejudicados por esse foco indeciso, resultando em uma narrativa que tenta ser muitas coisas ao mesmo tempo, mas falha em amarrar os elementos de forma coesa.

Embora Strong Woman Do Bong Soon tenha seus momentos encantadores, principalmente nas interações românticas, sua falta de clareza sobre o tom e o excesso de subtramas tornam a experiência menos envolvente do que outras séries do mesmo gênero, como Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, que mantém um equilíbrio melhor entre o humor, o romance e o desenvolvimento do enredo.

Oh gosh this drama was such a delight to watch, especially during the point of the school year where I feel absolutely no motivation to do any work, ahaha. This drama gave me SO MANY FREAKING FEELS, MADE ME CRY MORE THAN I SHOULD'VE, MADE ME SQUEAL AND SCREAM and it just had everything a great drama should! Our main OTP had great chemistry and all the characters were so unique and made the story so different, whether they were bringing suspense, humour or their handsome looks lol.

I will admit that sometimes it felt like it took way to long for the plot to get somewhere, but I didn't mind to be honest. Unless you're really picky, I don't think you would notice this flaw.

The acting was top-notch and spot on. I don't think Park Bo Young could've done a better job as the protagonist than she already did. I was so satisfied with everyone's performance and their acting capabilities. Sometimes it went so bizarre and crazy but they played it off with their characters really well. I do wish, however, that certain characters would have more development or back story to them, particularly the brother and Gook Du's girlfriend.

The music I CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW CATCHY ALL THE SONGS ARE and the enhanced the scenes so well. I've been listening to the OST on repeat for days and haven't gotten sick of the songs yet, surprisingly.

I'm not one for rematching dramas, but I'll definitely be binge-watching FMVs on YouTube for the next few months or until my withdrawal goes away!

Cute and fun

This series is simpy cute, funny, romantic, and beautifully crafted. It strikes a perfect balance between lighthearted fluff and darker undertones, making it such an enjoyable watch. The quirky characters and hilarious scenes had me laughing throughout, and the ending was truly heartwarming.
I've been rooting for Park Hyung Sik the first time I saw him in The Heirs, and I was thrilled to see him as the lead here. He did not disappoint! From his adorable, cocky charm to his sweet moments, he was incredible. By episode 14, he took his performance to a whole new level—every line, every expression was spot on. I love him in everything, and that smile? Irresistible.

Park Bo Young was a revelation for me, as this was the first time I saw her in action. She brought her character to life effortlessly, nailing every scene, especially her stellar performance in episode 14. And Jang Mi Kwan as the psycho killer? Chillingly brilliant.

The soundtrack was just as beautiful, adding so much depth and I must say it's almost always on-time to nail the cute or romantic mood. Overall, this is a sweet, funny, and incredibly well-balanced romcom that you’ll absolutely love—especially if you’re into romantic comedies. And, of course, Park Hyung Sik looks amazing in every scene!

Ok, so perfect 10? Probably wondering why. I'm a sap for sweet romance, and this drama has it.

It's hilarious, the heroine is adorable and loveable.

I enjoyed every element of this drama. The cast had great chemistry and some of the moments had me laughing so hard I cried. The scenes were written beautifully. The crime element of the story was intriguing, and I felt like it left something for everyone who wasn't just interesting in the love story to enjoy about the drama.

The music in this drama is amazing as well, and whenever I hear it, it puts a smile on my face.

Strong Women Do Bong Soon is a pretty fantastic drama, there's not much I would change about it.

Initially I was worried based off the cover that the 'love triangle' aspect would be overwhelming (as it tends to be), but I was happily surprised that it was well done, and I didn't feel annoyed by it as I usually do when they spend 14 episodes dragging the main girl back and forth between two guys.

There are tons of memorable scenes in this drama, and all of her action scenes showing off her powers were hilarious and empowering.

Overall, I gave this a 10 because after finishing this drama I felt like a 10. I will definitely be watching more stuff from these actors, they are absolutely amazing.

I'm sure you've already read other reviews, but I do 100% recommend this drama to everyone, not just people looking for romance, It truly has it all.

one of the best dramas I have seen! great story with a good amount of comedy, romance, cuteness, action. I like that this drama had not evil mom/dad/ friends and that everyone around the main characters were overall nice people. I also like how the mystery+action+thriller was in the drama but they didn't focus on it 100% of the time.  It was nice how some 'bad guys' weren't really bad but they were kinda making the show a bit funny, the actors did a great job and the main couple had GREAT chemistry. 100% suggest to watch this show, one of the top shows of 2017

Mais comédia do que romance

Olha, eu não tive muitas expectativas nesse dorama..., acho que foi por isso que eu não me decepcionei.
Eu achei a proposta do dorama bem legal, sabe? Uma mulher fortíssima!
Ainda sim, achei os momentos bem forçados e o romance realmente fica a desejar.
Eles são fofinhos com ela, mas assim... não acho que foi um romance bem desenvolvido. Faltou momento entre eles, apesar de terem sim momentos bem legais juntos.
Mas sabe quando você simplesmente não vê um romance tão atrativo? Que ele vai só até um limite máximo e mediano? Pois é, foi isso.
A atuação é boa e corresponde tudo muito bem, acho que o que pecou mesmo foi o roteiro. As músicas são normais e cenário, roupas e etc também são comuns (apesar de eu não ligar tanto).
Acho que o ponto forte é realmente o humor. KKKKKKKK
Nunca ri TANTO com um dorama, sério mesmo! Eu ria em todos os episódios.

A very cute drama with Park Hyung Shik, one of my favorite kdrama actors....
A very cute drama you will laugh, cry get angry and even dance with joy while watching it.
It is the story of a girl small in size but with great strength and a boy deprived of love..and how they start loving each other while saving their town from a serial kidnapper
The most funny part is when Ahn Min Hyeok says that he loved Gook Do's ass😂😂😂 and the loveliest part is when Ahn Min Hyeok see Do Bong Sook in her wedding gown ohhh its just so cute.
A recommend it to all kdrama watchers who like romantic comedies❤️❤️❤️❤️
