A few episodes before I really got into the story, fed up with the previous series 2 Moons, Sotus and Boundary Crossing, I have to say that this one was a hair weaker and this time I was more bothered by the disintegrating stories of the other classmates that distracted from the main line of the story.
However, the "beautiful" that these series are able to evoke so well, even if naively from the point of view of a European viewer, I felt a hundred times. It's just Thailand too, with blurry shots of a glass of beer or a person smoking (and I thought that here in the European Union we have the strictest regulations) and on the other hand Phun is calmly driving around Bangkok at 17 years old without he had a driver's license...

this is my honest review on this show
Firstly I watched this show on YouTube just in case you wanna know since it may not be on your og website. (It wasn't for me)To start I enjoyed this show very much before I was super skeptical since the quality was bad and it seemed like an old show BUT I gave it a chance since I had nothing else to do and I'm so glad I did because this is now one of my favorite bls I've watched I can't say anything bad about it besides the quality and maybe a bit of bad acting but its something you should expect from a bl that came out in 2015.
Ratings:
The reason why I gave the storyline a 9 is that it could've been better but it wasn't that bad tbh since it kept me very entertained but if I were to complain about a character in this story it would be Jeed and Aim lol I'm not sure why but I just have pure hate for them. Another thing (KINDA A SPOILER) ^
I lowkey feel bad for Phun and Noh's girlfriends like please just break up with them I beg like I can feel Noh and Phuns love through my screen but when they're with their girlfriends it's just like dang this shit is sad legit no point in them being together with their girlfriends if it's gonna be like this and it's very much WRONG! Never do this if you're in a relationship with somebody just break up.
Now... Acting honestly I'm not an expert when it comes to this since I could care less it just has to be somewhat bearable for me to watch lmao plus this show is old af so I wasn't expecting the best out of the best. To me, the acting wasn't unbearable or trashy it was okay and I could get through all 12 eps without thinking "What da fuck is this acting?" before clicking out and saving it to my watch later list. (which means it's not worth my time right now or its just gonna stay there)
Music + Rewatch value + overall
Music wasn't trash or bothering me when watching this show in fact I lowkey enjoyed it lol. Now my rewatch value is very low because I just can't rewatch shows in general It is not my thing I watch it once and savor it once, but maybe one day this show will pop up in my mind and maybe I'll watch it again to reminisce. Overall I love this show super much and it is in one of my top 10s now and if your still here reading this you should def go watch.

Noh is such a cutie pie, i love this series overall tho the first episode is kind of confusing idk where to focus to and the casts also agreed that its confusing and they're kind of disappointed but the rest of the episode is so interesting and phunnoh is just too cute, i loved how their story started as fake boyfriends in front of phun's sister and eventually fell in love with each other. one thing i am bothered tho is that phun cheated with his gf and that noh never made it clear that he was never yuri's bf, i loved his good heart but it hurt yuri and she expected too much tho its her fault but she's literally just a girl, but yeah still loved this i was so hooked up the moment i finished season 2, i went back from season 1 ep 1 hahaConsiderați utilă această recenzie?
Highly recomend you stick with this series
Okay, like a lot of people warned me the first episode of this.... is bad. I almost want to say it sucks, actually. It's confusing, and I don't think it added much to the story. But I recommend that you watch it... on 2x speed if you have to, which is what I did. I promise you that the rest is amazing if you endure the first episode. This is one of the best series I've seen; unlike many bl's, there are straight couples that are endgame! To be honest, the only reason I didn't give this series a ten is that the ending was kind of annoying. You're left with a huge cliffhanger, but there's season two which I have yet to watch and I'm hoping it'll end well.Considerați utilă această recenzie?
Most of us "drama watchers" who are in experts levels... usually get more picky from what we were in the past...
This Kinda drama is much different... although the 85% of the cast are new actors/ rookies and maybe first roles... but once you watch you wont believe that the leads (who made me fall in love even more with this drama) this is their first drama like EVEr...
the environment of this BL drama was kind "accepting" ... since its a BL drama... well its not gay but its two people fell in love .. and their problems are as simple as a high schooler experiencing feelings for someone who is just going through the same thing,
the music, story and the cast are a very good combination and its a re watchable drama for me like 10 times in row ???
thats its how its good!

It was cute, but could've been better
Could've been gayer. No reason not to watch it, but a heads up to those who are interested; there is homophobia and transphobia in it. Not uncommon for a gay show, but it's offsetting to me how trans ppl and other queer ppl were portrayed in it.SPOILERS !!!!!!!!
No pls because it was so confusing. Everything progressed over a matter of 4 days (at least in the first like 6 episodes), which idk if you're into that, but I'm not. There was a whole episode just dedicated to them being like.. stupid and not communicating with eachother, ugh stereotypical gay troupe, over it. I don't care about Kom and Jeeb or any of the other girls or guys. Except for that one girl, Nongnan she was funny.
So much of the show was just filler. No one was there to see that one Mone guy be a shitty boyfriend, that couple didn't deserve to get as much screentime as they did. So many unnecessary scenes that literally lead to nowhere.
If you want to spend 9 hours watching a show where it's just two guys romantically staring at eachother, not breaking up with their girlfriends (cheating), not developing as a character, 87% filler, this show is for you. Like overall its a decent watch, but every review of it I'd seen was hyping it up to be this big thing.... It really wasn't. It wasn't a revolutionary romance or something interesting. It was a bunch of gay fetishization and caricatures being made out of trans people and other LGBTQ people. That and just annoying drama.
Nitpick, but, something that annoys me in lots of Bl/MLM shows I see is just whoops suddenly two very heterosexual boys have kissed and cuddled and gazed passionately at eachother. And then there's no conversation about their sexuality between them... ever... :[
My expectations are sadly not high for gay content, but this was just another example of it being frustrating.
About the acting; there were moments where the tone was so confusing to me, I thought they were giggling and having a funny moment, but it turns out they were crying and being sad... So yeah some scenes were confusing to say the least
ALSO WHY THE FUCK DID NOH'S DAD SHOW UP THAT ONE EPISODE RANDOMLY AND THEN DISAPPEAR???? I WAS SO ALARMED
I suppose its realistic in a way but also damn I didn't even know he had a dad they never mentioned anything abt him,, another nitpick of mine. I like to have a basic family understanding in the dramas I watch. I feel more connected to them that way.
And to close my review, I am a real live gay so yes I do know a little bit abt what I'm talking about :]

This is the best BL series I have ever watch.
Love both of White (Phun) and Captain (Noh).
They really are adorable and have great chemistry together.

Bueno, hola!
Alex.

Of all the BL I've consumed recently, this one is definitely up there in terms of the actors and their chemistry. The main couple is outstanding when they are together, and all the flaws in the plot are outshined by what they bring to the table as actors. That said, there were some things about the storyline that bothered me, and season one fell off for me around episode 8, and I really struggled to get through the remaining episodes.Episode one was also very hard to get through, as the version I found online was low quality and it starts kind of out of nowhere, and doesn't provide much of anything except confusion and not a hint of BL until the very last scene. I could have skipped it altogether, to be honest, and wouldn't have missed anything important.
The cast of this show is large, and there are straight storylines in addition to the main BL pairing. There is also some representation (questionable, but representation nonetheless) for the 'ladyboys' from the Angel squad, who provide comic relief but also some valuable moments in the background as the show progresses. One moment in particular really impressed me, as one of the characters was advocating for the Angel squad, and made a comment about how we can't judge people based on their gender identity. I really think that scene was important, especially since this came out in 2014. The other straight pairings are really simple side plots, with little outcome at all by the end of the first season. I think they were just there to balance out the BL, considering I've read that this show was kind of the pioneer of BL series in Thailand.
The main couple developed well, genuinely, innocently, and beautifully. Their chemistry is excellent and I love that they take some time apart after almost kissing to figure out their feelings. It's so well-done, I give their relationship a standing ovation.
The only downside is that they both have girlfriends throughout the season, and that drives me nuts. It's a theme I see in a lot of series and it just tears me up inside and ruins a lot of stories for me, but it's definitely personal. It's more tolerable in this series than it was in Make It Right (oh my goodness that one was so much), but they are all still together at the beginning of season 2 and I wonder how long I will have to suffer through that.

To start, I'm a big fan of kisses. I think they are an important aspect to any story, especially romance, BUT I also think that, if you're not gonna have as many kisses, you need to prove a relationship with other things, and that can be hard. This show, however, does it perfectly. The hand holding and the eye contact is so UNREAL and precious, and I love Khun Phun and Khun Noh, okay? They're so precious~
I'd complain about the end if there wasn't a second season, but there is, so I'm okay~
Now, I know a lot of people have a problem with Captain's (Noh) acting, but I feel like it fits Noh perfectly. After all, in the book, Noh is a dramatic, over-the-top guy. He's kinda awkward in that growing-up-trying-to-find-myself way, and it works, so Captain's acting works for me. I actually didn't realize people had a problem with his acting in the first few episodes until I read some of the reviews on here because it just fit~

BETTER THAN EXPECTED
In truth, I fast-forwarded through a lot of this. There were characters and couples I did not like and after a few episodes I began to skip over their stories. It wasn't that any of it was bad, I just didn't care about them enough to invest time in their stories. This was very real. Very natural. Actual teenage/high school life, for the most part. What they did best was to capture the tender, raw, confusing emotions that every teenager goes through. It wasn't overblown for high drama. It was small moments that had the biggest impact. The touch of a hand as you pass in the hallway, the awkward frustration of a teen in his bedroom grappling with confusion, the totally invisible friend with an unrequited crush. I remembered all of those feelings and it really was like being back in high school again.
I can really only comment on the two leads and the BL romance, since I skipped many of the other stories - but for me these two were incredible. For actual teens, fairly new to acting, White and Captain did a remarkable job. Some of the best of any BL series I've seen so far. Just real, natural, and understated. They didn't try to force an emotion. I can't remember White doing a better job in any other series. I usually don't care for him at all (though Second Place is his performance in Theory of Love). This was my first time seeing Captain in a series and I could not have asked for a better actor. Kudos to the director for bringing out their best and allowing them to be true to themselves.
Shocking favorite line, "I thought you might forget about the front after you had the back." WHAT!!!!??!!!! Hysterical.
I did not care for the yaoi sister. Tired of this trope and these over-the-top, squealing girls. It's too forced and not like any teen girl I've ever known. Also not a fan of the Angel Crew. While I do appreciate that they get the support of the cheer leaders and the minor storyline about inclusion and acceptance that comes with their storyline, I find these stereotypical characters used only for comedy as disrespectful and potentially damaging to young boys who might see themselves in these characters and fear the ridicule they endure. Same goes for the two super effeminate side characters - who have absolutely no place in this story at all and again are only brought out to be the butt of jokes. I will forgive LS, since it was one of the first big BL series and it was 2014, but those stereotypes are still around today (2Gether) and potentially causing harm because the creators look back to series like this one and think it's okay to make fun of effeminate men.
Question: What's with all these teen girls insisting on boys taking them out and buying expensive gifts and meals for them all the time? Sorry. Deal breaker for me. If I WANT to buy you something, I will. If you FORCE me to buy you something, you're selfish, disrespectful and will soon NOT be my girlfriend. Buy your own damn shoes, girl.
I might fast-forward to favorite moments in this sweet, tender, innocent little gem again. But probably won't watch the whole season (or even just all the Phun/Noh scenes). But I would recommend this to anyone - especially those that like their BL with hetero side couples and actual teenage real-life storylines.
