Both movies have the same vibe. Main leads hangout with their group of colleagues while dealing with the woes of being an adult, and searching for love. Good endings.

Female lead has to play it off that they’re a guy. Tough female lead who can fight and falls in love with a rich guy.

Both male leads are office heads, dealing with stakeholders that are against them. The female lead is supportive and working with the male lead to fight against workplace corruption.

Capable Subordinate and Arrogant Boss fall in love. Incorporates a time loop/time travel/adjustment of time that is given to help the male lead who needs to change his ways in order to lead his team to prosper.

Female leads deceive male leads. Both female leads do so because of their job, and being pressured by their colleagues and superiors to get the job done, even though they’ve fallen for the male lead.

Stars Brigitte Lin in another romance that’s different from a majority of the films in her filmography. It’s better than The Other Side Of A Gentleman, and she portrays a character that fits her more.

Male lead is part of a ploy that benefits the female lead. Despite having some untrue form of a “romance” female lead is already in a relationship with a guy who looks good on paper. Male leads don’t take well to being used.

Male leads are naive or apparently “not smart” at the beginning. Female lead has a temporary lapse in judgment and goes for the educated second male. Hurt, both male leads reform themselves and pursue the female lead again with ulterior motives and for revenge.

Lead characters fight crime to make the world a better place. They aim to be a hero in a crime-ridden city.
