Everytime I start watching a Drama with a hope that it will be a perfect 10 and that it wouldn't drag on, but at this point I feel like it's some kind of virus that Dramas just have. D-Day was my first Drama which heavily focused on the Medical genre and oh boy it delivered some excellent moments.

Story: The setting is interesting and original. The fact that Seul suffered an earthquake and is now isolated is thrilling in itself. The story is amazing most of the time, but from 15 episode or so even thought it wasn't terrible it felt like it was going in circles with some exceptions. D-Day isn't a Drama that will leave you shaking but it has just enough amount of thrill.

There was one thing that kind of bothered me a little bit but most of you...ok lets be honest I was the only one who noticed this. The line between good and evil was very clear in this drama. Well there were some exceptions but most of the time it was. When disaster happens and everyone is fighting for themselves the line between good and bad should become blurry. It's not something that lessens the quality of D-Day but I would have liked it to be more thought provoking.

Characters: Lee Hae Seong was of course an interesting main character and an eye candy to follow. Seeing him overcome these horrible times and grow was an excellent experience. To sum it up everyones characters developed nicely, especially Han Woo Jin. Now Jung Ddol Mi was just bland. Watching the Drama I didn't notice how much of a nothing she was, but now when I look back her character was built in the first two episodes and that was it. She wasn't annoying or anything, her personality was quite interesting but she was just left behind. To be honest I would only consider Lee Hae Seong as the main character. Sure there were other characters who got just as much screen time as him but the main focus was always on him and it is such a waste while at the same time a good thing.
Now the romantic sub plot...There were a lot of cute moments between Lee Hae Seong and Jung Ddol Mi but it felt like the writers didn't know if they wanted the characters to have a romantic relationship. They gave us hope that they like each other very quickly and then just left us hanging for the major part of the drama. So sadly in the end the chemistry just faded and the romance felt forced. Other couples were fine.

Music: Fit well but nothing special.

Overall: D-Day wasn't perfect but it was still very entertaining. I would recommend it to people who like stories about disasters and the Medical genre, because you'll see a lot of surgeries. Btw Kim Young Kwang is just perfect ;)

I have never before been thrown onto such an emotional roller coaster while watching a drama. And no, I don't mean that the story was like that, just the drama itself, my watching experience felt like it. I know you're confused, so I will elaborate.

Bring it on, Ghost started out really strong. It by no means was perfect or original, but it almost felt like it. There was something really refreshing about this kind of a ghost story. A human and a ghost fall in love?! I am in! I really enjoyed the fact that the romance was cute but that wasn't all this drama had to offer, the comedy and supernatural action were there too. Writers never seem to manage to blend this kind of combination together well but in this case they did a really good job. So what we got was a story about our two main characters each day facing a new excorcism case while the romance and the main mystery slowly progresses. Honestly I haven't enjoyed a show this much in a while.

And the characters/cast played a big role in it too. While yes the characters were pretty two dimensional, it didn't bother me at all, because the story wasn't complicated either. Our main male lead is pretty generic, but more realistic. He had reasons for being a little bit cold, but he didn't seem like a total jerk like some main male leads like to come of as at first. Watching him falling in love was joyful. And his acting was amazing, of course, have no complains here.

Now Kim So Hyun here deserves a round of applause for her acting. Between her and the male lead was a 10 year old difference but I never felt that, she held her ground like an acting veteran. Just incredible. Her character to was pretty generic - a sassy high school student. But I really liked the fact that she was just plainly badass at fighting and a strong woman in general.

Oh don't even get me started on our comedy duo (Lee David and Kang Ki Young). Loved them to bits. The two of them were like a finishing touch that binded everything together. Without them the drama wouldn't be the same. Every moment with them was so funny. Their bromance was a delight.

Kwon Yool portraied his role well, can't really elaborate much, because I don't want to spoil things But lets just say that when we actually got to a point where character development was presented for Joo Hye Sung it was rushed and thrown at us just like to get it out of the way.

Myung Chul was...meh, he was only there as a toll for the story to progress and while I didn't totaly had no feelings towards him, I didnt get attached or cared about him a lot either. But the Kim Sang Ho himself is amazing, I have seen him in a few dramas and he always portrais his roles really well.

Summa summarum - a really good show. I never like dramas this much if they are just decent, because I am very sensitive to flaws. But I enjoyed it a lot, even though I saw the flaws, in the end the enjoyment is all that matters.

But then the writers decided to throw at us a plot twist. I am not going to spoil it but I am just going to say If you all were to make a "cliches in Korean dramas I hate" list, 80% or maybe more would put that plot twist in theirs.

The plot twist was executed in order for the plot to progress but a) it was freaking annoying ( took me an episode to realise that) b) the whole structure that made the drama so good fell apart.
From the 13th episode it felt like I was watching a whole new drama. Both main leads, especially Hyun Ji lost what I liked about them - strenght, in a way they became different people. I hate the fact that for a hundreth time they portray the female lead as a baddas woman but in the end leave her crying for help. And sure according to the story, that is how it was supposed to go, but I didn't like how the main story revealed itself either. The episodes were streched but the important moments were rushed. The answers were not satisfing, it felt like that momment when you ask someone to explain themselves and they just say "well...because". The answers raised more questions that they answered and left huge plot holes. On top of that the reveal was just plainly boring, they were building the suspense for so long and in the end it turned out to be a huge let down. And the fact that the writers left the characters two dimensional took it's tool. The situations that were happening required the characters to have deep psychological portraits for me to care about what was going on but again in the end I felt heartless, because the characters that I seemed to have come to love were annoying, their tears were annoying, because the writers got me invested in the story and not in the characteters so when they took away the story that I adored I was left with a bunch of characters that I cared so little about so unfortunately my love turned to hate really quickly. And the last cliff hanger was so badly placed, it felt like the writers knew that they f'ed up so they desperately tried to keep our attention. The only good thing after the 13th episode was that despite everything they managed to wrap up everyting pretty nicely.

I have never hated and loved a drama so much all at the same time. This drama crossed my mind multiple times a day wether I loved it or hated it out of dissapointment. Normally a drama has potential to be good only in its premise, but Bring it on, Ghost had potential to be one of the greates drama's (at least for me) and kept it for whole 13 episodes, but it still failed and I have never been so sad and angry at a drama.

Honestly I don't know what rating to give to this drama, beacuse the hight of this drama hit the clouds and the low dropped into a dark abyss. I always wait at least a day before I rate a drama because the score might be biased while the emotions the story left me are still fresh and I can't look at it rationally (yes I take this way to seriously). More than a week has passed and I still don't know what rating to give it. (But writing a review forces me to do it >.

This is my first review so be nice to me and since my native language isn't english forgive me if I make a few mistakes. :)

I feel like at this point saying that a drama is a breath of fresh air is a lie. Because a lot of Korean dramas (at least the ones who focus on the romantic relationships) follow the same structure. You know what I mean - getting to know each other, falling in love, dating, fighting/ breaking up, forgiving and the happy ever after. The circle just repeats with almost every drama. And even if some dramas try to break this structure a lot of the times it ends horribly. Even with this cliche structure that is predictable and pretty boring I can still enjoy dramas if they make sure to include bits and pieces of something original and interesting. Happiness consists of little things, right?

Story:
The story of Protect the Boss is nothing special. But there are a few plot lines that were pretty interesting and thought provoking. Be aware that like a lot of Korean dramas Protect The Boss also gets dragged on and boring and it gets pretty bad but not horrible.
I always watch comedies, because I hate the heavy atmosphere in melodramas. The comedy in this drama...i don't know if it even exists, because I don't remember it being extremely funny, well sure there were a few moments, but overall the comedy in this drama is just the lighthearted, mushy feeling that will make you smile a lot. ^^

Characters:
+
I loved the main characters. Cha Ji Heon was really interesting and unique. No Eun Seol was a perfect main character and at the end of the show I supported her like she was my friend. This rarely happens but I actually cared a lot for the supporting characters. Loved Seo Na Yoon and the way her character developed and, God, Wang Ji Hye is just a godess in general. The relationship between No Eun Seol and her two friends was like a cute little bonus. Cha Ji Heons father really gave me mixed feeling. One episode he was my favourite character and the other I hated him. I don't know if that is a good thing, but I guess I really enjoyed loving him.
-
There are a lot of unanswered questions for me, especially about Cha Ji Heons past. Sometimes the decisions the characters made or how their feelings changed were unnatural and unrealistic. No Eun Seol and Cha Moo Won even though I loved them, but their characters were kind of bland and needed more character development. The evil characters were just there, because they needed to be wich made them annoyng.

Acting:
I didn't notice anything horrible and I feel like I am not qualified to nit pick little flaws.

Music:
Absolutely bland and uninteresting. I don't remmember any song that I liked but there was this backround music with string instuments that was kind of uplifting.

Enjoyment:
Despite its flaws I still enjoyed this drama for the lovable characters and cute moments.

Overall: 7.5

P.S. Don't even look at the rating sistem. I put 7.5 everywhere so the overall would be 7.5. i dislike this rating sistem.

As always I was looking for a cute rom-com. While browsing through my plan to watch list I stumbled upon Just you I decided to check it out mainly because the drama looked like it would be a lot of fun and I was excited to watch a Taiwanese drama, because I don't do that often. My expectations weren't high. I was just looking for a story based on cute romance and it delivered....kind of.
The story is cliche, but that is exacly why I decided to watch it. I was a little thrown back by the episode count and lenght. The drama does drag on, but I have seen worse. And yes there is an evil ex arc, so if you're not into that then you can pass. If you're looking for a deep story this is definitely not it. Just you is super cheesy and repetative, most of the plot lines have been done a million times.
The characters...*sight*. Even though I came to love Liang Liang by the end of the show, I almost dropped Just you, because I thought she was very annoying, especially the fact that she has no pride wich kind of changes. Qi Yi is your cliche mean guy with a sad past wich is fine from time to time. Even though our main couple's relationship is super cute and heart warming the other couples were for the most part forced, because the dating ban. The worst thing is that everything was kind of forced. It seemed like the characters made their decisions because it was convenient for the plot wich is not ideal. Even if it's a story about an alien living on earth, I want to feel like he, his emotions are real. Kate was annoying, Dean and Jerry were usseles puppets. Ja Yu's reasonings were poorly written. And so much more cons...
The music was kind of amazing. Even though I would not lisen to it outside this drama it really fit the mood and the lyrics were touching. I liked it more with every episode.
But you know what? Because all i needed was a cute, light story and even though it was poorly done, I enjoyed it! Qi Yi and Liang Liang were suuuper cute and watching our main guy fall in love and change for the better was a delight. And the goldfish! ^^
If you ran out of ideas and you have time on your hand, check Just you out, but if you have better dramas on your plan to watch list this is totally skippable.

You know, I didn't expect much but this drama  managed to surprise me but as my  satisfaction grew  so did my expectations.  I don't exactly remember where I've read it but someone here on MDL commented that this is a drama of unrequited love and I agree with them but then not really. You see,  while this drama did mainly focus on the not mutual love our female lead had for the main lead it is only an unrequited love as far as Shao Xi is concerned because we as viewers clearly see that Li Zheng is in love  with her even if he doesn't exactly realize it himself which is a shame really because the feelings we get to see Shao Xi experience have way less of an impact on as as viewers. We know for sure that they'll get together. And I guess it's the same with every drama no matter what it might seem like, the main couple always gets together but It would have been more interesting if they at least tried to keep us on our toes.
Nonetheless the dynamic our main couple has is nothing I've ever seen before. Li Zheng is cold and not willing to date Shao Xi, but cares for her deeply and the struggle of the female lead to keep up an act of a friend hurts to see.  The way Li  Zheng's past connected to the personality of his  present self was pretty well done and the facts that he cared so much for Shao Xi made complete sense, it didn't feel forced at all and didn't overshadow his personality. Unfortunately it's another case for Shao Xi. Especially towards the end her personality consisted only of the facts that she liked Li Zheng and he didn't answer her feelings. We had a little bit of forced drama with her career as an athlete but that was cut very abruptly like it didn't really matter overall and was there because it needed to be for the structure of the story.  While her struggle to deal with unrequited love did give her character some development she still felt kind of bland, but I by no means hated her, I have seen wayyyy worse, for a rom-com she's a pretty fine female lead. The supporting characters and their dynamics were interesting too, I liked that Jin li actually had a pretty significant change in his character even thought it wasn't very complicated. I am pretty pleased that I was never really upset when supporting characters had scenes to themselves because I do tend to feel annoyed but I guess this is a proof that they were an interesting bunch.
Two things that bothered me the most. First is that it dragged, the second half consisted of many scenes and even episodes we didn't really need of  evil love rivals, misunderstandings and drama.  The second thing, that I'm really sad about is that  *sigh* you see...at the first part of the drama you see that Li Zheng is kind of overprotective of Shao Xi and acts kind of like a yandere and it's never adressed until the last episode where it's just brushed off as just something not that important but to me the way he acted in one certain scene (you'll know if you see it) it seemed like he wasn't really mentally stable. I'm not saying he's crazy but, I fell like, you do have to be sort of psychologically crooked to act the way he did and I wish wish wish they would have addressed this more seriously because while it was surprising it went along with his personality just fine and it would have made this drama 10 times more interesting but alas it was only a rom-com, which is, you know, like a one night stand - there are good ones, there are bad ones but in the end you forget them all (I'm a fucking virgin wtf am I talking about).
In the end I would say that if you want a rom-com but like, while not by much, something a little bit unusual then go ahead and watch it. I had a fun time throughout this drama mostly because of how lovable all the characters are and honestly that's enough.

As always I was out for a hunt to get my daily dose of fluff and cute romance. I don't know why but recently I have watched quiet a few Taiwanese dramas and all of them were good to a certain extent. They all had some little details that were very pleasant but overall the dramas weren't fantastic and ToGetHer is no exception.

The STORY is really cliche. Hot, popular guy falls in love with our plain heroine. Love triangles, ex girlfriends, evil mothers this drama has it all. But what I noticed is that for the most part Taiwanese dramas don't like to prolong these plot lines, to the extent where they get super annoying and everything is resolved relatively quickly except ToGetHer had one misunderstanding or indecisiveness in the second half wich ruined the whole drama for me.

The CHARACTERS were what made the drama shine. Mars's character development was an amazing sight. I went from hating him to loving him and the most important part is that it all felt so natural, not forced at all. Chen Mo Mo...*sight*...I really wanted to like her and I did, I freaking loved her cool attitude at first but during the second half I wouldn't say that I started disliking her but lets just say that a lot of drama happened just because she had no back bone. Of course I understand that the decisions she was forced to make were really hard but girl you have to stand up for yourself, it's okay to be selfish sometimes! Jia Sen's character was an interesting choice by the writers and at first I thought that it will be interesting but his placement between Mo Mo and Mars was a poor decision because it was really hard to like him when he was just an obstacle for their love. Jia Sen's mother is the worst, a devil in diguise. I could recite all the characters but besides Mars all of them were two dimensional at best. For example the bullys at Mo Mo's college...so one dimentional, they did things just because the writers wanted them to.

OVERALL even though it was fun while it lasted the drama is skippable but if you like fluff then this might do.

This could have been great. This could have been the next You're Beautiful with a more memorable female lead, but it just wasn't.

The story is nothing too unique but it's definitely fun and if executed well could have been excellent. The begining was slow but not horibble and towards the middle I really started enjoying it but unnecessary drama happened and the quality dropped. The story was going nowhere for about 8 episodes or so.

The main female lead wasn't really unique but following her was fun nonetheless. My feelings towards Lee Tae Ik and Won Gang Whee changed as the drama went on. At first I wasn't fond of our main male lead's unique or shall I say feminine personality but by the end I loved him for who he was and enjoyed a really interesting character, because we don't see that very often. The second male lead...while I really liked him at first towards the end my feelings changed drastically. During the start I even wished that he would end up together with Jang Man Ok but he did a thing that I hate the most - he played the victim card. Now me disliking Won Gang Whee is a really personal thing, ( and maybe influenced by the fact that he was an obstacle for the ship to sail ;> ) because a lot of people seemed to have liked him till the end. And sure, no spoilers, but I know that his situation was hard to endure and all but I do not have to force myself to feel sympathy for him, I don't have to make myself feel anything, the writers who wrote the drama dictate whether I should feel happy, sad or angry and if the mood doesn't match my feelings that is in most cases a sign of bad writing. But again that is just my personal opinion and don't let it hold you back form watching this drama.

Another thing is that they focused so much on the unnecesary drama that they left a lot of plot holes, especially ones concerning the characters's past. It angers me, because they could have spent all those hours on some decent characte development.

The music was...while a lot of people praised it I had really mixed feelings about it. The melodies were fun and catchy but the lyrics were...well I didn't like them at all, I thought they were cheesy and it felt like not a lot of thoughts went into writing them.

Overall the drama was average maybe less. I really wish that some writers wouldn't try to overcomplicate stories with love triangles, bad exs, unnecesary drama and bad attempts at making a story deep and meaningful, because without all these Full house take 2 would have been an excellent drama.
