A fun and interesting action, supernatural drama that'll keep you hooked!
I wasn't going to watch this at first, however, after seeing the many positive reviews about this drama I decided to give it a try. And I definitely did not regret it!In the beginning of the drama, I was sorta confused with what is going on, however, it started to make sense as the story progressed. The friendship between all four characters was definitely real. They really care about each other and would do anything to save each other. However, it was disappointing that Mun and Hana never got together even though they hinted small bits of romance between them. However, this drama doesn't revolve around romance but more of the friendship between all four. There was a lot of funny scenes in here too which made it better!
I don't watch a lot of supernatural/ghost spirit kind of dramas. But this one was definitely an interesting one that kept me hooked the whole time. The drama was nothing too complicating, it was straightforward and easy to understand. Nothing was dragged on because every scene was relevant that connects to the story. Mun lost his parents at a car "accident" which left him disabled. However, once he gained superpowers, he found out his parents were actually murdered by an evil spirit and the political higher-ups were somehow involved in it too. AND his parent's souls were taken by the evil spirit, Cheong Shin, who has also killed and taken many other people's souls to make him stronger. Therefore, Mun and the rest of the members had the mission to stop and summon the evil spirit out of this dude in order to free all the dead souls (including Mun's parents) to ascend them peacefully to heaven. Interesting plot right?
The action scenes were one of the best highlights of this drama. The action looked SO REAL! And it's brutal too like damn! I give so much kudos to all the actors/actresses for taking part in such brutal scenes. Kim Se Jeong (Hana) surprised me the most with her martial arts skills. I never imagined she'd be in this type of drama nor see her do these types of strenuous action scenes that maybe not a lot of idol girls can do. She definitely stood out in this drama and give her high compliments.
The antagonists were just brutal and toxic as hell LOL. Like they really hit a nerve that makes you just so frustrated because of the never-ending killing of multiple innocent people. Cheong Shin had a broken childhood and unfortunately got an evil spirit in him. Even though he was dead-beat evil, he showed some soft normal side of himself when he went back to the orphanage to watch the kids play and even defended one of them when one of his mates was about to kill him. It's confusing but at least good i guess to see there's some human side left in him, but he was still dead ass evil and needed to be jailed. But he killed himself so LOL.
The last episode where Mun finally reunited with his parents got me really emotional and teary-eyed. What I love about that scene is that they really made it believable enough to get viewers to feel emotional because it is such a special heartbreaking scene of a kid and their parents reuniting after 7 years from a tragic accident. One thing I was disappointed with was that they didn't really go into much of Ha Na's story. Like yeah we know her family died and she didn't but like.. is that it? We got into the back story of the other three characters and had some resolution to it but nothing very much on Ha Na's part. Or maybe that scene when she was fighting that lady when she "saw" her family was a closure? Idk, but that was just me. I guess she had closure that she is fine but just didn't really show it much on here.
Other than that, the whole drama was great and entertaining in general. I would definitely watch this again and highly recommend it to anyone!

Typical boss/employee romance but a good one!
I was hesitant watching this because the plot just sounded weird, however, I'm glad I watched it. Basically, it's about a rich CEO Zhi You, who never lies, and an ordinary girl who became his assistant Yi Ren, who always lies, and they fall in love. Typical employee/boss romance. After watching this drama, I felt like it gave some sort of hidden message about why people lie. There are some people that lie due to selfish reasons or to get away with something. While there are some that lie because they don't want to hurt the one they love and believe "it is what's best."(basically good intentions). This drama gave me a realization that sometimes we have to look at things from a different perspective of why people lie. But of course, lying is still not acceptable.
Zhi You hated and never told a lie because one lie led to bad results for his best friend's family and broke their friendship during their childhood. Therefore, he hated anyone that ever told lies. However, Yi Ren came in who is the COMPLETE opposite of him who ALWAYS lies. Somehow, despite the millions of times she lied to him, he still did not let her go. With Yi Ren, I noticed that she doesn't lie out of selfish reasons. She lies because she is afraid the truth will hurt him.
HOWEVER, this is one thing that I do have to express frustration on. Yi Ren's character is quite week. She is not able to be honest with others because she cares of what others think and does not want to hurt them. I sorta understand in a way since she did grow up in a toxic childhood with her relatives that were just mentally abusive and could not speak up of how she felt. So she always felt inferior and insecure of everything and cannot speak up for her nor tell the truth on things. She lied so much throughout the drama and it just started getting really frustrating that I actually hated her character at times. She is lucky that Zhi You forgave her many times for it. However, he does get sickened by it after awhile and they broke up for a bit. But in the end, he realizes he can't live without her and knows lying is her weakness, but knows she's not doing it out of bad intentions so he seemed to openly accept that about her. She also tries her best to improve herself of not lying and stand up for herself. I'm glad she finally cut ties with her aunt and cousin who are just complete hypocritical gold-digging liars.
Anyway, this drama revolved a lot of lying and deception among different people. People try to lie/deceive others out of selfish reasons was really frustrating to watch. But hey, that's what the drama is overall about: lying. I felt like the last two episodes were just not really necessary and didn't make sense at all as to why they had to add that subplot. It was just weird they added last-minute a sudden plot twist of Yuwen turning evil and betraying Zhi You again right after he gave her another chance after framing Yi Ren. Also, I did not really watch the second couple subplot because I wasn't entirely interested in their romance so I skipped it HAHA.
As for the romance, it was really cute. It was sorta cheesy but surprisingly it was bearable for me. Yi Ren changed Zhi You in a way that made him less cold and realize things from a different perspective. They understand one another despite being polar opposites. They kiss like so much throughout this drama omfg XDD. You can tell how madly in love he is with her LOL. It just felt so real!
Overall, I really liked the drama. The message was nice and the couple just had great chemistry. I don't think I'd watch it again like the WHOLE thing but maybe rewatch some clips that I liked.

A lot better than I thought it would be!
I was hesitant on watching this drama at first because of the plot, however, I gave it a shot and it was actually a lot better than I expected! I was so hooked that I finished this drama in 3 days! It was like a star cross lovers type of show since Xiao Qi is an alien and Fan Leng is a human. How do you possibly expect the two to be together? That's what got me curious to watch it.The drama revolved around heavy romance and comedy that had a pretty good start at the beginning. There were a couple times where I felt a bit uncomfortable or just felt embarrassed for Xiao Qi when she does really bizarre things that no woman would have the nerve to do to a guy upfront before (in the beginning part of the drama you will see what I mean). But that's part of the comical side of this drama which is one of the pros to it. It's not just all heavily on romance. And as much as how cute the talking turtle was, however, it just really felt unrealistic and unnecessary to have a freaking talking turtle. But it wasn't too much of a bugger for me. The turtle did play a role in certain events that happen towards the end of the drama.
Of course, what's a drama without your typical love triangles. The love triangles weren't too bad compared to some other toxic love triangles I've seen. Fan Leng's ex, Jiang Xue, can't seem to get over her dying obsessive love over Fan Leng and is pretty in denial thinking that she can win him back. I mean, I get how she feels since they didn't technically break up bc he doesn't remember her at all due to his illness. But dang girl, she just went too far in this drama to the point you just get frustrated with her.
The chemistry between the two main leads was great. They had lots of intimate scenes that makes you really hope that they would stay together in the end. Some scenes they had were sorta cringey to the point I got chills run down my body lol. And as much as how emotional the last two episodes were because you don't know how it will end, I surprisingly didn't cry XD. Xiao Qi frustrated me at times because she was basically pulling him in and pushing him away constantly. Like make up your mind, what's the point of trying to be with him if you're just gonna push him away again. I mean I know she's an alien and all so she didn't want to hurt him so she pushed him away but ugh. It just constantly became like a push and pull thing that Fan Leng was even confused if she wanted to be with him lol. Overall, this was a good drama. I'd recommend you watch it!

Good drama but has things to improve
I was highly anticipating this drama because of Thao. This drama made me also begin to like Janice Wu as well. The drama started off good as the main leads, Boxu and Zhen Zhen, were like in that bickering singer-assistant relationship but gradually turns into love after awhile. There were times where I had to skip a couple of scenes that were either boring/annoying or irrelevant to the story, which is okay. In general, I felt like it wasn't necessary to have 44 episodes when it could really but cut down to maybe at least 30 if you take off all the irrelevant scenes. Also, the unrequited love storyline of Ri Zui and Yian was annoying and pointless. Instead of including their storyline, they could've used those times to add more scenes between the main leads. Like yeah the main leads had sweet moments throughout the drama, HOWEVER, as far as I remember, they officially got together like 2-4 (I think) episodes towards the end of the drama which I'm like WHAT? I would've wanted to see more of their sweet moments if they had started dating like maybe somewhere in the middle of the drama. And too much business issues that it also made part of the story drag.
Most importantly, one thing that threw me off a lot were the supporting characters, mainly Zhen Zhen's best friend Yuan. OMG I really hated her character. Mostly because of her obsessive unrequited love for Ri Zui, who is in love with Zhen Zhen and desperately trying to win her back. Zhen Zhen doesn't have feelings Ri Zui anymore and clearly rejected him every single time he asked to get back together. Despite all that, Yuan still had the nerve to get mad at Zhen Zhen (even though she didn't do anything wrong) that she moved out of their house to stay away from her and gave her the cold shoulder for a couple of episodes just bc Ri Zui still loves Zhen Zhen. I'm like bruh, you're being totally unreasonable that you'd affect your friendship? Petty and annoying. I don't remember if they ever got together in the end since I watched this drama a couple of months ago but she was just annoying as hell. Ri Zui and Yuan storyline were at the same time totally pointless and a drag to the story. They should've just focused on one triangle which was between Boxu, Zhen Zhen, and Ri Zui.
Overall, the drama was good but it could've been better if they had taken off all these flaws.

Nice drama but could've been better!
At first, I was a bit hesitant on watching this due to some of the low reviews it had. However, I'm quite glad I watched it. I'll try not to spoil anything or at least try to make it vague enough that it doesn't seem like I'm spoiling anything. First of all, this drama mainly revolves around sports. There are small cute romantic moments between the main characters but don't expect like some high-level romance in usual sports/romance dramas. The story itself was quite interesting. The journey that Bai Cao had to go through to make it to the top and succeed with the help of Chang An. It's great that the drama showed some downfalls Bai Cao had during the journey because she was able to learn from it and become stronger. The one thing I was frustrated with was how the story mainly revolved around Bai Cao's growth but not the whole team. Like honestly, it was frustrating to see how the story made her team members look weak and Bai Cao, Chang An, and that one other guy are the strong ones that they can depend on to win the competition. They acted all so proud and tough that they win certain competitions yet they didn't even do anything but lose every match except Chang An and Bai Cao. I was so irritated just seeing them gloat and even losing every single time. I wish the drama had shown some growth in the other teammates as well than make them look as if they have to depend on Chang An and Bai Cao to win.
The acting was okay. I was mainly a bit irked with Ting Hao's character cause he seems overly dramatic in a lot of his scenes that it makes me laugh sometimes XD. Like, dude calm down take a chill pill LOL. The fight scenes were pretty interesting too. Although some fight scenes seem a little fake and unbelievable but idk I don't know much about this sport so lol.
I was quite disappointed with the ending. Literally, the last two episodes were pointless because they're all just flashbacks from previous episodes as if we don't remember anything that happened LOL. The last 5 minutes of the drama between Chang An and Bai Cao disappointed me since they didn't really get together in the end (the only spoiler ill give LOL). HOWEVER, by how it ended, I see it more as an open ending that gives the audience that there is a possibility that they will get together in the future. I feel that she is slightly developing some feelings for him but not fully yet since she isn't ready to open her heart yet and doesn't want to commit to Chang An until she's fully ready.
Anyway, overall it was a good drama!

Good drama but fell short overtime
I was looking forward to this drama since it revolved around music. Although I'm not a kpop idol, but this drama does show a slice-of-life type of feeling about the struggles kpop idols go through when it comes to fame, conflicts between members, and their romantic relationships or friendships. For example, it showed how idols, especially if super famous like SHAX, struggle in having to hide their romantic relationships due to the fear of how it'll affect their group and the person they are with. It showed realistic scenarios of how idol couples usually have their dates at night in either their cars, their house, or even at a hiking area wearing as many layers as possible in order to not be seen by paparazzi. Other than idols, it also presented the struggles of idol trainees who dream of debuting but many obstacles prevent them from doing so and how it affects them. All in all, it's kinda like giving a message to kpop fans about how we should understand kpop idols and to respect their lives. I think these were one of the good pros of this drama. However, as of storyline goes, it was good at first but after awhile it just fell short. The first few episodes of the drama were quite interesting because of the sudden disappearance of Eunjo, the death of Annie, and the struggle OMEGA (before they became Tea Party) had gone through to debut. They eventually were able to debut after a few eps and it was a bit of a struggle for them to get noticed at first but eventually gained success. But as the drama progresses, I felt like the story started turning in a diff direction as it began to focus more on the romance between Ryoc and Ma Ha than what was originally. Like don't get me wrong, the romance was cute but because of it, I felt the story suddenly went somewhere else for a while than having to balance the romance with other storylines.
The storyline about Eunjo and Annie was completely put to the side until the last minute like literally an episode or two before the end of the drama which was weird. The pieces about Annie's death and Eunjo's disappearance all started to come together last minute which kinda threw me off guard because they could've slowly developed that storyline throughout the drama than just cram everything into 1-2 eps. I did sympathize both Eunjo and Annie bc of what they've gone through.
The romantic storyline between Ryoc and Ma Ha was okay. Their storyline was good at first because I liked how it was in the first few episodes of a few flashbacks of Ma Ha and Ryoc pre-debut and then sunbae/hoobae relationship they had prior to getting together. A lot of cute/funny moments between the two as the story progresses. But it did throw me off how the directors made Ryoc break up with Ma Ha bc of not wanting to damage SHAX and then like 1 ep later they get back together. I guess they wanted to put some kind of "conflict" between the couple to put some intense moments in the drama. But it's completely pointless if they're just gonna get back together that quick. Also, the love triangle between Ryoc/Ma Ha/Yoo Jin wasn't really interesting either since most of the time Yoo Jin and Ryoc were just being passive-aggressive to each other and Yoo Jin gave up shortly after and then went for Hyun Ji. And maybe it's just me but I personally didn't like Ma Ha as much as a character. She just didn't seem to stand out for me as other characters like Ri Ah. Speaking of Ri Ah, I was really hoping for a romantic storyline between her and Lee Hyun (Hwiyoung) but it never went further than that despite the small signs that show of interest.
The last episode with their tribute performance was very moving for me because the lyrics really were heartfelt. And when Eunjo showed up I was like what?! But I knew for a fact that just because he showed up, it doesn't mean he's officially back in the group... I'm not sure if it's just me but I felt like there were still questions unanswered despite the ending of the drama. The ending just didn't sit right for me because of how sudden everything was and it still felt like Annie didn't get justice for the people that did dirty. And where did SHAX go after they left NOGO? I'm assuming they went to Tea Party's agency seeing how they were there at the end? Not sure.
ALso, I was expecting that they'd make Li Ma an antagonist in this drama based on how she personified herself in the beginning. However, she turned out to be a good character which isn't bad! But I felt the drama would've had some sort of stressful kick or intensity to the drama if they had an idol antagonist where she'd go to great extents to bring a person down or whatever else just like Hye Yi from the other music drama You're Beautiful.
Lastly, I do LOVE the music. If they had an OST album for this drama, I probably would buy it!
All in all, it's a good drama but not the best either due to some flaws. I don't think I'd rewatch the drama again but only come back to watch clips or listen to the music. I'd still recommend the drama though if u like music and romance!

A total gem: refreshing and amazing chemistry
Personally, this is hands down by far now my #1 favorite drama out of all the dramas I've watched these past 10 years. I'm not overexaggerating because I've never seen a drama that heavily impacted me emotionally to the point that it made me cry multiple times even till this day despite the drama being over. Also, this drama kept me on my feet of wanting more with every cliffhanger they left off on each episodes along with the sudden plot twists. Lastly, the main leads had such amazing chemistry that I die-hard ship them. It's the best and at the same time the MOST HEARTBREAKING kdrama I've ever watched.Storyline:
First of all, I felt this drama was refreshing, new, and different from what you see in most typical kdramas. Starcrossed lovers where Soo-Ho, a North Korean spy, is a bad guy (but a good heart) and he holds the girl he loves (Yeong Ro) and her dormmates hostage is something you don't see a lot in kdramas. It's eyecatching with a lot of unpredictable plot twists of characters you never expect would turn out to be bad or good. Each episode anxiously keeps you looking for more each week because something is always happening that you never expect. The drama is mainly set in the dormitory, which I have no problem with nor I don't feel it's dragged because something intense or unexpected is always happening in there while it also shows some scenes of what is happening outside with the antagonist who plot on killing everyone in the dorm due to the presidential elections. This drama revolved heavily around politics, with about 40% of romance. The political stuff wasn't too hard to understand and it made the drama quite interesting as it anxt up the storyline even more so I was okay with it. Although I wished they added a bit more romance scenes into the drama.
Acting:
The acting of every character was amazing. They really portrayed their characters well that each of their personalities could either make you love them or hate them even more because they portray. I cannot name all but I'll only talk about the top 3 characters I was mainly impressed with. First, I was impressed with Jisoo's (Yeong-Ro) acting. I am a Blink, but I hate to admit it prior, I didn't expect much from her acting as a rookie actress and being an idol. However, she exceeded my expectations and I genuinely loved her acting. She portrayed Yeong Ro very well and give kudos to her for being able to cry in almost every scene she has. I don't know how she's able to force herself to cry LOL. Hae In (Soo Ho) also impressed me. I didn't really watch a lot of his past works other than DP, but I know he's mainly been in romance dramas. Although I didn't watch those, I think this type of role in Snowdrop fits him so well. The different emotions of love, fear, sadness, anger, betrayal, and etc. in his acting all in one drama were just very impressive. This drama really took his acting to another level and I believe he impressed many of us. Seung Jo (Gang Mu) was another character I loved. I didn't know of him prior to Snowdrop but he really put out a lot of emotions into his acting, especially in intense scenes where he's really into it. When he tried to get Soo Ho to leave with Yeong Ro at the end, the sadness in his eyes when Soo Ho refuses shows how he's grown to care for Soo Ho despite they were enemies prior. I actually teared up in that scene.
Chemistry:
One of the main highlights of this drama was the chemistry between Hae In (Soo Ho) and Jisoo (Yeong Ro). I have never seen such amazing chemistry between two main leads in the past 10 years I've watched kdramas. The forbidden love between two very different people and how they longed for each other is just so sad. They may have not had a lot of scenes together after ep 5, however, every scene that had together always hit you hard with emotions that make you wanna cry for them. The way they look at each other, their physical affections, and their actions of willingness to sacrifice their lives for each other shows true love that they really don't need words to show your words to someone. When Soo Ho died by taking the bullets for Yeong Ro, I was crying buckets because of how tragic it was, and when they cried and talked during Soo Ho's last breath just broke my heart even more. I still cry to this day just thinking about it and when I look back at their scenes, whether sad or sweet, together. I've seen sad endings in kdramas but they've never made me cry buckets of tears every time or whenever I think about the couple. Even though this drama and the couple are fictional, I still can't help but feel so many overwhelming emotions because of their powerful chemistry and cry for them because of their undying love for each other. Their acting is what made the chemistry just so great which is why many people are praising and hoping they'd get together in the end and even in real life.
As I hate to admit it, it was expected that it'd be a sad ending. Given the situation, it's very unlikely that they'd both survive and end up together. Soo Ho will still be targeted by both the South and North even if he ran off to a different country. Cause remember Soo Ho is technically still a wanted criminal and enemy on South Korean grounds. How will they live happily together? Will Yeong Ro be able to drop everything in the South to run away with Soo Ho? Also, Yeong Ro would be in danger if she stays with Soo Ho, and I think he knows that which is why he let her go. And they're basically two against the entire world who are pretty much surrounded at gunpoint by the ANSP. I tried to stay positive that they'd have a happy ending but in reality, it's just totally impossible. Despite the sad ending and the millions of tears I've shredded, I still love this drama.
Ending:
Despite the high appraisal I have for this drama, there were some cons to the drama that should've been explored more. The ending showed the end of the couple's love story, however, the ending felt abrupt and it left a lot of unanswered questions which I was quite disappointed with. They legit just cramped up so many unexpected things all in the last 3 episodes that I feel they should've elaborated earlier in the previous eps so it doesn't seem so abrupt. First, it was never shown where and what happened to Soo Ho's body. Like they could've shown at least Yeong Ro going to his grave or something or just in general where the hell is he? lol. Second, what happened to Yeong Ro after she got taken away by Tae Il, since he thought she knew the password? Like how was she let go so easily? Like they legit just time skipped right away without showing what happened to Yeong Ro and the others after Soo Ho died which left me confused. Third, what happened in the North with Soo Ho's mom and the adoptive father? There are more things that are questionable but these are some I could think of at the top of my head for now. From what I heard, not sure if it's true, the drama was originally supposed to be 20 eps but was shortened to 16 due to the controversy which I do not understand what has to do with it.
Overall, despite the cons, I still genuinely loved this drama, and will forever hold a place in my heart. It'll be hard to find another drama that could top this drama that can hit me with this many emotions. I really hope to see Hae In and Jisoo in another drama together in the future and this time hopefully with a happy ending <3

Great drama!
At first, I was hesitant on watching this drama based on the plot, however, it was actually a pretty good drama! I really like the chemistry between the main couple. They had like this love/hate relationship at first, however, it of course led to love. The main guy at first had intended on killing her in order to help cure his heart disease, but over time, he began to care for her which made him hesitate on killing her. His heart eventually healed with help from the main girl. I really love how she tried to protect him as much as possible. Even willing to give up her position as a princess just to be with him is a big sacrifice. The love triangles definitely frustrated me since it led to a lot of misunderstandings between the main couple. Like, she obviously loves you how could u not see that!! The male lead's change of character did frustrate me as well because of all the misunderstandings. He intended to try and kill the female lead again, but because of his love for her, he couldn't do it which makes it interesting. The female antagonist really frustrated me as well but it was good because her desire to be queen really made the story interesting as she went to very shady extents to get that position.
However, there were a few things of the drama that threw me off too. Towards the end of the drama, the female lead faked her death in order to be live happily ever after with the main guy and let her sister (female antagonist) take the throne. I honestly thought that part was a bit weird and unnecessary but I guess they put that to make the story interesting.
I was worried how the ending would be since I am pretty sure that she will be back in the real world. So I wasn't sure if the main couple will be together in the end. However, they did have a happy ending as they reunited in the real world.
Overall, I really loved the drama despite the parts that threw me off. Would definitely recommend!
