Would you leave a thing, with supernatural power to kill anybody, at random place knowing it would cause chaos if it falls into wrong hand? Would you confront a bad person who has asked you to do something wrong in exchange of not harming your beloved ones knowing confronting him would eventually harm your loved ones? You would if you were acting in this drama! There… this drama is this much lame and annoying too. Finally I’ve found a Korean thriller drama to tag ‘disappointing’ with it. Finally, I’ve found a Korean actress whose fake sad expression has totally pissed me off, to that extent that at one point I started skipping parts where she was onscreen. This drama had a sound plot with good mixture of thrill, emotion, supernatural stuff but they just ended up ruining all those! This drama took 32 episodes which was not necessary for its storyline and yet failed to explain number of twists. Audience would never know how the villain finds all those items or how he ends up dying; audience would never know how the male lead comes back to real world; audience would never know how a fatal bomb blast is avoided! The most annoying part is the ending. This cannot be tagged as an ‘open ending’ to be honest, this ending is simply a nonsense ending. I waited till the last episode hoping proper explanation of many questions would be given. But I’ve simply wasted 16 hours of my life. Considerați utilă această recenzie?

To maintain a 'watch-life balance', even thriller-suspense lover audience needs to watch light, refreshing drama like this one. I have seen several dramas on life of idols but this one felt different. This is because, even though the main story is the struggle of an idol group to regain their popularity after they face bashing for plagiarism, here the manager was in the focus, not the idols. Seo Eun Soo has pulled the role of a bit clumsy but determined manager perfectly. I liked different songs they have come up with in this drama also. As they have announced it would have another season, I don't have any complaint about the open ending. I felt the chemistry between the main leads is a bit clumsy but I think this might be intentional as this drama will have another season and the main leads probably will have more scope to show their chemistry. In a nutshell, enjoyed this drama thoroughly and will be waiting for the next season. Considerați utilă această recenzie?

As for the story, I found it a bit annoying, mostly because of the way the story has been portrayed. It gives a vibe that the female lead is pretty comfortable when it comes to "moving on" even though it's not true. Of course, the female lead had to go through hardship to move on but her side of the story hasn't been portrayed almost at all. Also, I was wondering if it is that easy to break up over the other party's random comment or thought when the other party is pretty depressed. I mean when two people are in love, they try to stand up for one another, especially when they are struggling. So breaking up over a thought in a time of depression doesn't seem very normal to me, it's pretty personal opinion though. This is another problem in the storytelling of this movie, it gives a vibe that the male lead had got new passion, new dream not because the female lead had inspired to do so but because he was in love with her whereas he actually stands up every now and then beside the female lead when she is in distress. Because the female lead's emotion has not been portrayed that much, it leaves a vibe that the female lead is selfish. In a nutshell, the story may be realistic but the way the story has been told has made it a bit abrupt.
The OSTs and background music are Ok, so is the videography. The transition between different time periods might be confusing if one is not paying attention. Well, after completing the movie I was left with the question that who is the lady the male lead was going to kiss in the first scene in his imagination when he was narrating his story to his students? I don't remember finding that lady again in the entire movie!

I was randomly checking out youtube videoes when the first scene of the 4th episode of this drama caught my attention. I got hooked up in no time and finished this within two days. So what made me fall for this drama? Well, here are valid points:
1. The drama is pretty short. Even though it is a 16 episodes drama, each episode is of around 30 minutes. Because the drama is not lengthy, I didn’t lose patience while following the cliche storyline.
2. Usually, in pure romance based drama, the female lead is either pretty crybaby or pretty rebellious, pretty rebellious in the sense that they show a tendency to overreact in even normal situations. In this drama, the female lead is pretty well-balanced in term of showing kindness, sweetness and her rebel side.
3. In this drama, there is no unnecessary misunderstanding to annoy the audience. In pure romance based drama, there is a tendency to create misunderstanding between the leads which misunderstanding can easily be sorted out by a simple text or phone call. In this drama, the two leads maintain communication despite having their busy schedules and sort out misunderstandings.
4. In most Korean dramas, the way how female lead falls for male lead is pretty abrupt, as if one fine morning the female lead decided that she loved the male lead. Here, the creative team has come up with an awesome dialogue to validate this emotional transition, which dialogue is now one of my favorite quotes, “Suppose, there is this person with 99 good traits but he has one bad trait. You’ll come to detest him eventually over that one bad trait no matter what he does. But there is this other person with 99 bad traits and one good trait. if that one good trait catches your attention, that’s what you’ll fall for; because that’s his charm!” So true and simply explains why people often fall for one with traits which they hate normally.
Jun So Min has a pretty innocent look which perfectly complements the character of the female lead she has played here. Her co-star, Ha Suk Jin stated in an interview that Jun So Min’s real personality also resembles the female lead character of this drama which explains her natural acting. As for Ha Suk Jin, I’ve come to know of him for the first time through this drama and simply loved him. His acting is so natural, specially his smile.
If I’m asked to figure one negative aspect of this drama, I would point finger at the acting skill of the actor who has played the role of the grandpa here. He simply overacts and it feels pretty obvious that he is ‘acting’. I felt Sung Dong II would be the best option for this role.
In a nutshell, if you are tired of over-drama in dramas tagged with ‘melodrama’ genre or if you’re looking for something light, refreshing to lighten up your mood after being done with a twisted, complicated drama, then ‘Something About 1 Percent’ would be a good pick.

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon

Secondly, I didn’t like much how the lead female character is portrayed. I have watched the “Don’t Click” movie and found Park Bo-Young’s acting pretty okay. So I guess it’s not her acting but the way she has been asked to portray the character is what I found a bit annoying. This is, of course, a personal judgment and I guess this exact fact has made many fall in love with Do bong soon.
Last but not the least, personally I am not a big fan of “Superhero” genre.
But I am crazy for Psychopath based stuff. That’s why I got hooked to this movie from the very beginning. Yes, not the cuteness of the drama or the fun part of superhero stuff but the psychopath based storyline makes me complete watching this drama in two sitting.
The opening is pretty awesome. Twist in almost every episodes and the build-up of the plot are simply amazing. I started having this feeling that it would be one of my most favorites. But No! When it comes to thriller, a perfect closure is a must which doesn’t occur in this drama apparently. The last two episodes literally disappointed me. I would like to explain why I felt so but then I would end up giving spoiler. Anyway, the story should have been ended in a much more sensible way. There are some other, though few, inconsistencies in the story.
Nonetheless, the overall storytelling is smooth. The comic stuff is okay. I loved how Park Hyung-sik portrayed both the ‘carefree’ CEO & the ‘one awestruck by the charm of the female lead’ in an equally amazing way. I have seen him in ‘High Society’ and I wonder if he is so natural in term of playing a chaebol role because he is actually a one. Apart from the leads, I did love Jang Mi-Kwan in the role of the psycho; he does justice to the character, specially his creepy smile.
As for the OSTs, usually, a new song, that can be an OST or a score, gets included in my playlist right after I am done with a K-drama which didn’t happen this time. I liked the ‘Heartbeat‘ OST though.
Overall, a pretty enjoyable drama if you can overlook those inconsistencies.
