Not Good Enough

" To All The Guys Who Loved Me " had a good concept but a boring execution.

Even from the first episode things didn't look so good. The story, though was interesting theoretically, did not have a smooth start. The love triangle was boring, oldish and predictable, even though it had the potential for a solid bromance, which was ruined as they tried to create it only towards the end, and by then, they both had established a rocky relationship. The main couple was okay, but the repeated flashbacks, the cliche lines, and the cheesy scenes ruined it. The whole past lives was not excecuted well and thus, it ended up not being well explained, being repeated over and over, and almost dominated the present relationship. The side characters, in addition, although they provided some comedy relief moments, they were forgoten and their stories was almost not concluded.

Finally, the performances were, at least, pretty great, as it is expected from an all stars cast.

So, overall, 3.5 out of 10. The drama could have been a sweet, light romantic comedy with some dramatic elements and the just right amount of cliche, but it just was too boring.

I will be honest, I am writing this review a week after finishing this drama and I found myslf not able to remember how it ended. I remember that there was a company that made video games and they called the male lead to save it. The romance and the love triangle, were both weak and were kind of out of nowhere, as the drama focused more on other themes than the romance. The story, in addition, was a bit boring at times and felt like it didn't have any point in the end.

What I liked about it were the characters. They were well created and enjoyable. However, they had only twelve episodes to develop, so not any major character development there. Plus, the performances were good from everyone in the cast, especially the side characters.

So, overall, six out of ten.

A forest of Wool and Steel is more like a novel, packed with emotions and music. Rather than a good story, this one focused more on the aesthetics and how to represent the sound of the music a piano creates with nature and, especially, the forest. There was a ghost of a story, with the main character choosing to become a piano tuner and working as one, while encountering some piano players and helping them create the perfect sound that they are looking for. But the story was just okay, as there was no intensity nor real point in it. Rather, the breathtaking views of the forest and the water, as well as the music, they were the main protagonists of the movie. Finally, the performances were good from all the cast members.

The story of shoplifters is a simple, yet complicated one. The family, even though they shoplift, obviously breaking the law by doing so, they maybe have found the secret in what makes a family. One of the key factors of this movie were the performances. Even the kids were really good, though some characters were explored in depth as others. The plot, moreover, although it started slowly, it presented the family nicely and it solved all the mysteries in the ending, so it wasn't left open, although the last scene did raise some questions. Overall, although the pacing was slow, it was a nice movie with a heavy social criticism.

What I didn't like about Search : WWW was:

The pace. It was kind of slow at times and they mixted the scenes a bit here and there.

The romance. It was slow at the begining. And they almost seemed like they didn't have chemistry, but that was solved quickly.

The business part. It was nice to see strong female leads, but the office story was confusing and didn't really appeal to me in the end.

Now, for what I liked:

The performances were really good from all the actresses and actors, but especially from the three ladies, who were incredible.

The second leading lady's romance. It was cute and adorable!!

The attitude of the drama.

Good Enough

Thai Drama "Not Me" has an enjoyable soundtrack and a brilliant main lead.

On that note, the music was excellent and just right for the story, without having one song being repeated throughout the whole series. Rather, there was a variety of songs and all of them feated the mood of the drama. As for the leading actor, he did an excellent job transitioning from Black to White, in which he proves his dynamics as an actor. The rest of the cast did a good job as well.

Unfortunately, the drama had not a smooth pace and the last episode just conveniently and rushly concluded everything. There were a few questionable decisions of the characters as well, some of them even got annoying after a while.

So, overall, six out of ten.

Good Enough

" Marry Me! " is a warm, cozy drama presenting in a short time a well paces contract marriage relationship.

The drama had one thing going for it, the leading lady! She was so adorable, it was impossible to not root for her, or want to protect her (like the male lead soon found out). The slice of life atmosphere that it was created was just perfect for the story of the drama and it formed a cozy, warm and safe environment where the characters opened up, had character development, and warmed up towards each other.

In addition, the couple was cute, with chemistry and smooth progress when it came to their romance.

As for the side characters, they were interesting and kept the story going, but they didn't overshadow the main couple.

So, overall, eight out of ten.

" Hyena " was a legal drama with two intense characters.

Actually, the two main characters were the heart and soul of the whole drama. Especially the leading lady, who, more often than not, dominated her scenes and overshadowed her partner. However, she did got a bit endearing after a while. The subtle romance with the male lead was messy and probably should have been avoided, as they have better chemistry as partners rather than lovers. The theme about lawyers representing the elite was kind of refreshing, as most legal dramas tend to go for the more emotional, underdog stories. However, soon it was obvious that the cases were more about one family in particular rather than a series of cases. And it got a bit boring too.

So, overall, six and a half out of ten.

Good Enough

" It's okay to not be okay " is a conceptional drama. It nailed the atmosphere and the whole gothic, fairytale, mysterious, dark and eerie. The addition of the books worked fantastically, the setting was brilliant and the clothes of the leading lady influential.

The story, however, of the drama was stretched. Looking back into it, nothing happened for some episodes, and the final result was the kind of 'easy' conclusion of the whole mother mystery. The side stories were underdeveloped and boring too. So, no, they didn't work on the story too much, as they focused on the clever dialogue and the atmosphere.

Nevertheless, even though storywise my rating would have been 5.5, I can't really rate it less than 7 because of the performances. The three main actors were breathtaking, especially in the dramatic scenes and one should only watch it for those performances only! (and no, I'm not a fan of the actors, but I can't stress enough how excellent they were! plz give them an award!!)

So, overall, seven out of ten (10/10 for the actors, 5/10 for the story)
