Korean Drama "Anna" is a short but to the point drama.

It tells the story of a woman who starts with a lie that takes over and, eventually, she starts living under a fake identity. The story feels rushed at times, as the time limit is short and the drama aims, successfully, to wrap up everything by its ending. And true, there were some stories that needed to be further explained, or more naturally presented, but the performances truly steal the spotlight. They help the drama a lot and all of the actors and actresses did a great job with their characters.

So, overall, eight out of ten.

Korean Drama "Twenty Five Twenty One" is a story rather watched for the leading lady and her struggles rather than the romance.

The drama starts off with a youthful note, which maintains till the very end. And by going back and forth through time, keeps the suspense high, though it reveals a lot about the story's outcome.

Now, for the main plotline, the story is clever, with well-filmed sports scenes and intense chemistry between the two antagonists. The main girl's story is another plus, with layers and layers of family drama, character development, and a nostalgic vibe.

As for the romance, it was okay, but it wasn't the highlight of the drama. Rather, it took the passenger's seat, as it ought to consider that there wasn't much to work with.

Unfortunately, the ending episodes of the drama were messy and the time skipping got tiring. Hence, the ending didn't feel cohesive.

So, overall, 7 out of 10.

Korean Drama "Our Beloved Summer" is a slice of life love story that founds its success in the lingering feelings between two exs who have to work together after a long time.

The drama does a great job creating the perfect atmosphere, with the use of lighting being on point, the scenes were beautifully shot and executed and the OST was brilliantly selected. And true, the game between the two main characters was an intriguing one, with the yearning for them to be back together being the force prompting the interesting factor. However, when that one was taken out of the equation, the drama got tiring and lots of scenes were added that were unnecessary and only there to fill in. So, yes, the drama started pretty strong, but it got predictable and boring towards the end. It also left out the family situation of the main lead out, which was a plotline that could have been explored in more depth.

Finally, the performances were great by everyone in the cast, which was consisted of an all-star pallette.

So, overall, 7 out of 10.

Korean Drama "Dr. Brain" is a masterful sci-fi thriller that provides a solid mystery.

What Dr. Brain offers is a suspenseful plot that keeps the audience hooked till the very last minute. With intense performances to boot, a mystery that is slowly being unfolded, an interesting sci-fi element, and engaging characters, the drama creates the right atmosphere, with dark shades that come close to the horror element at times.

However, the CGI were bad and almost ruined the mood at times. The horror, flashy scenes were also a bit overused and nearly shifted the focus from the character based mystery to a psychological thriller.

Still, the ending was brilliant, leaving it to the viewer to interpret what actually happened.

So, overall, 8 out of 10.

Japanese Drama "Tsumari Suki tte iitai n Dakedo," is a predictable rom com that doesn't fail to entertain.

The drama has plenty of cute moments and it's loaded with cliche trops, but the theme of the filing industry was pretty entertaining and it was nice to see some behind the scenes of how the dramas are filmed, or the everyday of an actor. However, and even though the drama tried to give some substance to the characters, they were left us cells with barely any personality and, of course, any character development. And yet, despite the shallowness of the story, the drama is quite entertaining, with a couple that worked well together and had chemistry.

The performances, moreover, were pretty great by everyone in the cast.

So, overall, six out of ten.

Korean Mini Series 'The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim' started nicely but ended up being a rushed, predictable drama.

Probably what doesn't help the drama at all was the ending. It was rushed, with bad CGI and a predictable conclusion. The progress of the story was messy as well and one doesn't get to see the characters' background stories, their personalities, dreams, and ambitions. You only get to see them as a superficial role that they just have to take. Even the love story felt forced and didn't proceed naturally, even though the leads did have chemistry.

On that note, the performances were all great, even from the side characters, who were, unfortunately, pushed aside due to the short length of the drama, as did the progression and presentation of the universe of the story.

So, overall, four out of ten.

Korean Drama "Strangers From Hell" is a dark story that builds up to the great final twist in the end. The only thing that was missing was a bit of a more craziness of the main villain. All the others were mad enough to be triggering the insanity of the main character.

The latter was the star of the drama and the sole focus of it, as his downfall was well-orchestrated, even though there were evidence from the start that something was off that he himself was trying to suppress.

The performances, finally, were all great from everyone in the cast and the atmosphere pretty dark and suspenseful.

So, overall, 7 out of 10.

Korean Drama "Squid Game" is bloody, but, somehow, hopeful.

It has a nice cinematography, with, sometimes, overused gore, but well executed action scenes. The background stories, moreover, set the drama apart from the rest of the survival game series, and it gives a more 'Korean Drama' feel to it. It makes the story more believable, as it helps the viewer relate to the characters and understand them. It also gave a more humane twist to the story and made it more dramatic, when the settings and the costumes were more on the childish side.

Finally, the performances were great by everyone in the cast.

So, overall, 7 out of 10.

Korean Series SF8 is an ambitious anthology of sci fi stories. Others are better constructed, fitting well into the short length of an hour, others had compelling stories or characters or both, and others didn't do so well. Nevertheless, all of them had interesting themes, great performances and, best of all, beautiful CGI that created the perfect futuristic atmosphere.

Joan's Galaxy was an emotional story, with a sweet, well paced romance and somehow, even though it takes place in a dystopian future, a nostalgic feeling. It had all the right vibes, from the aesthetics to the music to the costumes, everything was perfect, with a refreshing note and a nice conclusion.

Korean Series SF8 is an ambitious anthology of sci fi stories. Others are better constructed, fitting well into the short length of an hour, others had compelling stories or characters or both, and others didn't do so well. Nevertheless, all of them had interesting themes, great performances and, best of all, beautiful CGI that created the perfect futuristic atmosphere.

Empty Body was not one of the well presented stories. The whole sci fi element was not explained properly right from the start, and when it got more comprehensive, the drama had already shifted to another plotline. So, it was hard to keep up. However, the mother-son relationship was emotional and the strongest part of the story.

Korean Drama 'Immitation' is an idol drama with a predictable story that almost brings to mind old dramas.

The story is a love story along with some details on idol life as well as the struggles of the trainees. The love story was from cheesy to boring to idiotic. There were no surprises and the whole thing just lacked chemistry and romantic vibes. The side couples were underdeveloped and rushed. But, probably the mystery of the disappearing member and the whole industry corruption had depth. Unfortunately, the drama only presented those superficial, focusing on the love story. The love triangle, moreover, was boring and did not add anything to the love story, only to the dynamics of the girl group. As for the characters, though the actors and actresses had enjoyable performances and presented their characters decently, were mostly annoying and frustrating.

So, overall, three out of ten.

The first Season of the Korean Drama "The Penthouse: War in Life" is full of betrayal, intrigue, twists and melodrama. If one enjoys watching stories where the characters hit rock bottom and want revenge, where the powerful need to be punished because they do awful things to everyone, then this one is for you. If you want a light drama, or a drama that is more realistic and digs deep, then you should probably skip it.

Now, the story starts a bit slow and it feels like it's taken from a 2000's drama, but it gets better when the mystery gets twisted more and more and all the characters change and betray one another. One thing can be said for sure, The Penthouse keeps things interesting till the very ending, even though there were some crazy, silly scenes that tried to be funny but were ridiculous. The setting was pretty entertaining and well crafted as well.

As for the performances, all of the actors and actresses of the cast did a great job.

So, overall, seven and a half out of ten.

Korean Drama "River where the moon rises" was not a great romance story, but the strong female lead saved the day. Her story, the performance, and her presentation were all not only entertaining but also intriguing. That is not to say that the rest of the actors and actresses of the cast did not do a great job. But the leading lady's performance and dynamic appeal stole the scene every time. Her story was overall interesting, as well, and it was refreshing to have a period drama focusing on a female character. The clothes and settings were a nice touch too, as they were different, detailed and looked real.


However, at least for me, the drama was greatly affected by the switch of the male lead. They did not handle it well, and the character disappeared for a few episodes and had a few chopped scenes edited here and there. So, I do recommend watching it with the second actor right from the start, as it feels a bit awkward with the switch.

As for the romance, it was okay, but not as strong and impactful as it presented it, or hoped for it to be. That is because it was often overshadowed by the politics and, sometimes, the second lead. The ending was a bit off too and too unrealistic.

So, overall, six and a half out of ten.

Korean Drama Oh My Ladylord had a great cast, some strong family plotlines, some sweet, romantic moments, but a bad story.

The pace was off, with some badly edited scenes and a few questionary camera angles. The twists were also old, especially those towards the ending, and they were not entertaining. The focus on the love triangle, also, was a false move. It was itself forced and it messed things up a lot and unnecessarily. The bromance that they tried to enforce was boring as well. Not to mention the side couples that tried too hard to be funny, but failing every time. As for the worst moment of the drama, that would be the ending. The fantasy element was bad right from the start, was never properly explained, was often forgotten, did not fit the main mood of the drama and, in the end, ruined the ending.

However, there were some good things that helped a bit. The family drama was good and the mothers' relationships with their children were just so warm and sweet and all the actors and actresses did a great job with them. The performances overall were enjoyable and top-notch but the script did not help them at all. The main couple, in addition, had chemistry and were good together.

So, overall, four out of ten. The first episodes were nice, and there were some parts of this drama that were good, but the rest was just not good enough.
