Japanese mystery is the best!
I am once again reminded that Japanese psychological and mystery dramas/novels are unmatched. They have a way to make the most gripping, teeth-clenching, heart racing stories ever! From the first minute to the last minute, this special has been nothing but mind boggling, even with new information the steam of the thrill never lets up, you think you know where things are headed but you're proven wrong. It's sinister, aggravating, and blood boiling.
The first part is more relaxed than the second part, both are top notch but in the second part the things escalate tremendously. I am happy it's only two episodes because I wouldn't be able to handle the high emotions for far more lol
The last scenes were heartbreaking.

Messed up... but too safe!
I had no expectations whatsoever about the movies, didn't even read the synopsis very well when I started watching but it caught my attention from the get go. Kitagawa looked so good in that bob she was glowing. But... that's not the point here! The story starts so well, the progress is compelling and the backstory of Kanna makes you feel all kinds of sick and nauseated but what I am disappointed with the most is the backstory of Yuki (Kitagawa Keiko). The movie makes a big deal about her trauma and what not, plus Kitagawa acting the PTSD scenes was so heartbreaking and sad that when they reveal the backstory it just falls apart, and feels pretty flat. Maybe I am too used to messed up things but the whole shebang was played too safe.
One thing that was great about this movies is the atmosphere, although it's sick and twisted there's some nostalgic undertone to it, the flashbacks to the Yuki and Kasho's life along with the backtrack music was the highlight for me.
All in all, it's a good movie, although there were let downs it wasn't a totally bad.

Intriguing… I found myself questioning my morals.
It’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed a Japanese movie or a drama, everything seemed pointless lately until I saw Prior Convictions on my laptop, turns out my sister downloaded it and watched it and forgot to delete it.I came into it with no prior information, nor expectations other than the will to delete it if it didn’t match my mood today. And holy crap!
The movie is so good, I couldn’t bat my eyes in case I missed a scene although it was slow. The atmosphere is something that I have been missing for a long time. Arimura Kasumi’s character was unfairly intriguing and amazing. I was moved by her diligence. I wanted to know more, the struggles kept me on edge. I felt like I was back again to ten years prior when I enjoyed watching Japanese media.
The city’s panoramas were the highlight for me, I don’t know why but the small town smell was so strong and it felt like I was there too, Morita’s acting was great too. In fact, everyone did their part very well.
At the end it left me wondering: Agawa was working hard to rehabilitate Kudo and I was there for it. but then, I wondered if Touyama deserved his second chance and I caught my bias.
It was really eye opening.

Get the writer a writing class
I decided to watch this drama because I saw some funny snippets one day. I like Mahiro so I said why not. The first episodes were amazing and all but then everything went to hell.Story:
I don't know what to categorize this drama as, it's true that the setting is a hospital and there's some reality to it but why were there so many unbelievable scenes? I thought I was being pranked some times. I applaud the actors for acting some of the scenes sincerely because that did not make any sense in all universes.
I just have one word: what the hell was THAT mystery? it had so much potential.
Apart from the disaster in writing events, the character development of all the characters was great except for Mio, she fell flat and short to the growing of the others, in fact she was worse off at the end. The writer intended her to be a nurse aid but erased all her previous qualities and previous life by the end of the drama only to recallit when it's convenient.
Music:
Music was fine, although overbearing at moments or random at others.
Acting:
The acting was superb, mondai nai desu!
Overall:
I hope there's a redeeming second season, the start was great so it is a sad that they ruined it by the end.
