-Both have great friendships and bonds with those they meet including their lookalikes.

-Multiple sects vying for power plus the imperial court involved somehow.
-Great martial arts skills and fights.
-Smart and savvy leads, with contingency plans and payback strategies.
-Romance make small appearances.
-Plot in one way or another revolves around getting revenge and/or uncovering mysteries.
-Friendship and comedy are both important.

Similarities:
-Both ML's had a fall from grace so to speak and had to start from scratch to become formidable opponents.
-Both are out for revenge and to become stronger.
-Fight scenes in both.
- Must rely on others for help and gained friends in the process.

Similarities:
-People growing up together trying to make a difference in their own lives and those of others.
-Not letting themselves be stepped on by bullies or others.
-Trying to bring in a new era of growth into their respective timelines.
-Mild romance and great friendships.

Similarities:
-Both are plot heavy.
-Both leads are weary of each other at first.
-Lots of conspiracies and palace politics in both.
-Comedy and romance do make appearances.
-Both have mysteries to solve and involve the Embroidered Uniform Guards.

Similarities:
-Both have about leads trying to outwit each other to see who's a friend or foe.
-Both FL's put on fake airs/illness to look pitiful but are in fact quite intelligent.
-Both series have good side characters.
-Lots of slapstick humor.

Similarities:
-Some supernatural aspects and secrets.
-Investigative team comprised of ML/FL and several others.
-Mystery, whodunnit, could former friend be involved?
-Palace politics and thirst for power.

Similarities:
-Great martial arts/Wuxia skills.
-Multiple sects vying to be the best in the world.
-Great friendships established by MLs and others.
-Palace politics and all the plots behind them.
-Beautiful scenery, OSTs, costumes, etc.

Similarities:
-Both have XYL playing the 3rd wheel with unrequited love for the FL. But in both he'd rather protect her and still be her friend than losing that too.
-Both have great friendships and comedy.

Parent story and a mandatory watch before this, otherwise none of it will make any sense. This is a continuation of that one or what should have been added to the original series.

-Both are about strong women not taking any slack from a "man's world".
