Way Better

It's Episode 2 and we are nearing half-way already through the 5-episode series. So far, I am loving the quality of this series. I have noticed vast improvements in acting, directing, editing and even styling. The main couple have more chemistry now especially compared to the last few episodes of the main series. Much noticeable was Bright who has greaty improved his acting skills and not just the constant smirk and glaring eye-thingy we have been used to in the previous series. I think the new director (who also previously directed Dark Blue Kiss) played a major role in this enhancement. The production values and editing was superb. I could even see the parallelism in the BrightWin pool scene with a similar sweet scene with TayNew in DBK (coupled with the hanging lights effect in the background. awww. how sweet right?).The styling of the actors was also upgraded. Apart from better (and more) scenes from the side characters, their hairstyles and clothes were also nicer. I now empathize more with the Phukong and Mil tandem as well as with Type and Man couple. Honestly, I did not like their own storyline and styling in the original series especially with Drake's character (Mil) but now I actually find him hot including Frank (Phukong). Aside from these side couples, there were also noticeable improvements with Tine's friends Fong and Ohm. Like I was thinking to myself, these cute and dashing actors were there in the original series? LOL.Over all, if this upward trajectory continues then I would dare to think that Still 2gether is getting WAY BETTER than the original series. Kudos to the producers, director, actors and other show staff for a job well done! Keep it up. :-DP.S. It was really a nice touch to this episode by including the following: P'Jennie's cameo, BrightWin kissing scene, and TypeMan shower scene.

A punch in the gut that came out of nowhere!

Episode 11 was a sucker punch episode. I honestly didn't expect much depth with this series. The Shipper started off with a simplistic premise and another tired trope (i.e. body-switching). And so, we were so used to having silly antics and amateurish scenes since Episode 1. In my mind, I have already classified this series as another fluff show (which I sometimes like to take a break from more serious drama). Then lo and behold, Episode 11 happened. Like WTH! I cried!!! I f***ing cried! I effing cried many times. Not just in one scene, but in at least 3 scenes in just one episode. After watching about 50 or so Thai drama, I think this is only the fourth series where I did that (Theory of Love, Until We Meet Again and He's Coming to Me being the other three series where I shed bucket of tears so to speak). Kudos to the writer, director and actors for this one. Since there is only one remaining episode, I really do hope that this will have a happy ending for all characters especially for the KimWay and KhettPan pairings. :-D

Hello Heartbreak

Mico essentially sabotaged himself. I would have understood it if he only panicked after the confession of Xavier. But after treating the confession as a joke, he doubled down and even suggested to post it and dedicate it to Crystal? WTH! And later on, he got the nerve to be hurt when he saw Xavier and Crystal back together? Ugh!I think (and this is just my opinion) that Mico tends to be an insensitive character. He did that before during the "Young Padawans" group videochat (he kept on talking about Xavier and did not mind his friends problem) that's why his friends got angry at him (but they yeventually reconciled). And now, he is again insensitive to the confession of Xavier? Can't you see it in his face that he is being serious? Duh! I really have high hopes for this drama coz it has better production values than the other Pinoy BLs (so far) but in terms of plot and character development, I'd say Gameboys is still better in this aspect. I just hope that Mico would redeem himself in the remaining episodes.

Ho hum.

There were some nice scenes here and there but overall, this episode was kinda bland for me. Despite making Way fix many things in the house, Khett ends up failing to make Kim and Way go out together. Despite being confronted by Kim (Pan in his body), Khett was still unable to confess his feelings. Are you dense Pan? Can't you realize that on your own? haha.On a good note, Way has finally admitted his feelings for Kim. Yay! Finally! The confession in the football scene seems amateurish but was still cute for me. :-)What bugs me most is that it's already Episode 9 and we still haven't seen the actual Kim manifest or even realize his feelings for Way. Also, while Pan seems to have feelings already for Way, she is oblivious with Khett's feelings for her. Ugh! Considering that after this, there are only 3 episodes left, I hope that they are able to catch up with all these issues and resolve it in a good way.P.S. I am so jealous of P'Jennie since she got to kiss Ohm many times. hahaha

A rollercoaster episode

This episode will take you to the emotional highs and lows of romantic love plus a healthy dose of family drama. Episode 7 started out with the love triangle online confrontation that eventually fizzled out with the important question still left unanswered. Next we get the virtual party of Pearl, Gav and Cai with the latter dunking his oreos in a wine glass filled with milk (how cute!). The teasing continues with the male leads until family drama came into the picture courtesy of Cai's brother and mother. We have to appreciate the efforts of the writer and director in making this not just the usual love flick but also having a more relevant theme which is in tune with the current times. Despite the blooming love story of the GavCai ship, their happiness is now tempered with the realism of the difficulties and eventual tragic death of a family member. Despite the relentless teasing (which by now gets old already) by Gav and now added with unresolved feelings and non-commital expressions by Cai, I still gave this episode a high rating mostly because of one fact - the outstanding acting skills of Elijah Canlas who is playing one of the main characters. Cai is definitely the star in this episode. I have to admit that when this series started, I did not like his acting that much especially since he was eclipsed by the more talented Kokoy (who plays Gav). His performance now seems more natural and convincing especially during those scenes with his brother and mother. Truly heart-wrenching scenes! Apart from his acting, I found Cai more handsome in this episode because of his haircut. In fact, I like his image now even when he wears that headband. Although I used to find it 'baduy', I now realize it's not the headband per se that I didn't like but Cai's haircut that goes along with it. Now, Cai is more dashing and cuter than Gav (sorry Kokoy haha). Thank you to the production team for Cai's new style. :-DAfter the Terrence love triangle drama in the previous episode, we now have to contend with the Cai's family drama. Speaking of family, the performance of the actors playing Cai's brother and mother were also quite good. I just hope this level of acting performance by all actors will be carried on until the last episode (fingers crossed).

Hello Heartbeat

Just done watching this episode a few minutes ago.Loved it because of the following:1.) The attempted exercise (was it yoga?) of the barkada (circle of friends) - I can so relate to this. haha2.) Mico and Xavier having a watch party of One More Chance - one of the penultimate Pinoy love films of all time3.) Mico closing his eyes while watching Xavier simulate kissing someone - I felt that! Kilig much? haha4.) Mico was honest enough to admit that he is afraid to love because he doesn't want to be hurt like his mother. Aww. :-(5.) May pa kili kili si Papa Xavier. Ang hot! haha (Xavier showed his armpits. So hot! haha)Over the past three episodes, I think it is safe to say that JC (Mico) is a really good actor. I could feel all the emotions and shyness he felt. We've had that experience before of crushing over someone. It's like that. haha On the other hand, I have this feeling that the acting skills of Tony (Xavier) is dwindling as the series progresses. Hope he improves more in the coming episodes. Still rooting for the XaviMico ship. :-DThe episode ended on a cliffhanger with the possible admission of love between the two - emphasis on the word "possible" because it just might be Xavier is still teasing Mico. Ugh!

Episode 7 - Observer to Player

Just finished watching Ep7 and here are my thoughts:Loved many scenes because they were sweet and cute: 1.) Mutal hairpulling and pillowfight between Kim (Pan in his body) and Soda. 2.) Buffet contest between Khett and Way 3.) Khett letting Kim (Pan in his body) sleep in his bed and leaving the "banana milk" note 4.) Way said to Kim "School is so bad without you." Awwww.I love P'Jennie but somehow I did not feel his performance in this episode. Dunno why.Although it was inevitable, it was a bit disappointing that Pan and Kim has switched back to their own bodies (that "accidental" kiss looked so contrived. haha). I am worried that the story would revert back to the usual hetero love triangle (Khett and Way fighting over Pan). I have no problem with KhettPan but I still wish that KimWay would happen somehow. I just hope that those saying this show is queer bait would be proven wrong. (crossing fingers) I would feel bad otherwise and would drop this show like a hot potato. LOL

Bonnets and Sock Puppets

Some of the things I love in this episode:1.) Cai wearing a bonnet. I find him cuter this way more than him wearing the headband. Speaking of headband, I now realize that it was not the thing per se that I don't like but his hairstyle that goes along with it. While I don't like his usual headband coupled with butterfly hairstyle, I actually think he's hot wearing that same headband when his hair had that wet look and brushed up. Ugh! Go figure. haha2.) Cai's apology. After a series of "matalinghaga" (mysterious) steps that Gav had to go through, in the end was the "apology show" courtesy of Cai. It is kinda "baduy" (uncool) but I think that was what they were going for. More than the silly puppets, it was heartfelt and sweet. Love the rap! After many episodes, I really liked the acting of Elijah in this episode. He seems more mature already and showed more depth to his performance beyond the usual frowns and "paawa" (pitiful) effect. I actually liked Elijah's acting more in this episode as compared to Kokoy who was more sublime in here. Kudos!3.) Pearl! We gotta love this spunky girl. She talked some sense to Cai for saying those awful things to Gav. I also liked that scene where she is showing off some "bisexual" vibes. Ooh lala! However, during their group videochat, I found some of her actions to be a bit over the top. I mean considering the seriousness of the discussion, did she really have to act and say those things? I found it distracting. Anyway, still love her. 4.) Online confrontation. It felt like a virtual version of those conflict reality tabloid shows wherein complainants and respondents vent out their anger and whatever other feelings they have for or against each other. Terrence may be a cutie but he's a manipulative and pathetic "ex" who still had the hots for Gav. Pearl was right. Ang haba ng hair ni Gav (Gav has long hair) - a Fiilipino euphemism for one who has many admirers. Can't wait for the next episode. Hoping that Cai will say YES. (but we all know it can't be that easy right?) hahaha

Slow Burn

First came the virtual "tampuhan" (misunderstanding) then came the "nagkaayos" (makeup) moment and thereafter the online flirting began. Yay! Kilig much. I LOVE THIS EPISODE. ;-)Good casting especially for the main characters. Seph and Kookai were also cute in their own way. Kudos to whoever made the casting decision. It might be slower but I think it's a welcome change of pace compared to the much faster story development in the other Pinoy BL series "Gameboys". This means more opportunities for the characters to develop depth and for their relationships to flourish. Hopefully, this would also mean additional time for the conflict to arise and its eventual satisfactory resolution. Considering it only has eight episodes, the series has already utilized like 25% (2 out of 8 eps) of its time already. I just wish that the remaining episodes would not let us down. :-DP.S. Is it just me or did Crystal pronounced one of her lines as "f*ck" instead of "fact"? :-)

Wow! Great episode.

Kinda late watching Episode 5 due to some work stuff over the weekend. Ugh!Anyway, this was by far the best episode of the series. It has shown the depth of the acting by the main characters especially for Gav and Cai. I think Terrence is the seemingly innocent "third party" to the main couple, but I believe he has sinister motives (maybe he wants Gav back?).The online "breakup" scene was heart-wrenching. Looking forward to the next episodes.

Love this episode.

Kinda late watching Episode 6 due to some work stuff over the weekend. Ugh!Anyway, P'Jennie was funny here (as usual). Had a good laugh with the "saliva" scene. That indeed was nasty. hahaBeen hating the bitchy character of Pingping since Ep1 but I kinda empathized with her in this episode. :-(Ohm is really such a good actor. I even feel that his character has chemistry with Kim (but no! that's supposed to be his brother and that would be incest! hehe). In any case, shipping KimWay til the end. hahaP.S. Can't wait for Soda (Kim in her body) to wake up from coma. That would be fun! :-)

A Promising Pinoy BL Series

Just finished watching Episode 1 of this series. All I can say is - Ang galing! (It's great)I honestly did not expect that the quality of this web series to be like a full-blown movie. I mean the script, cinematography, clothes, production values and music were quite good. The main cast were quite good looking and act really well. I hate to admit it, but other Pinoy (Filipino) BL movies so far pales in comparison. This early on, I think the characters of Mico (JC) and Xavier (Tony) are balanced. Mico is the nerdy but cute type but can only cook fried foods and instant noodles (I can so relate to this on a personal level. haha). On the other hand, Xavier is the typical handsome jock who is bad in studies but can cook chicken "tinola' (stew). Together, their on-screen chemistry is actually brimming with so much potential.Surprised to see the name of Olivia M. Lamasan in the credits as an Executive Producer and part of the Creative Department in this series. I think that contributed greatly to having a web series like this one which I believe is on par (or even more) compared to other famous Thai BL series. Hope they maintain this quality to the last episode. To all those who haven't watched this series - "arat na!" (let's go!)P.S. The song "Kahit na Anong Sabihin ng Iba" (Whatever Others Say) sang by Seth Fedelin kinda reminded me of the band Orange and Lemons. hmm.P.P.S. Thanks to this series which featured poem "Sa Kasintahang Nilimot Na" (To the Forgotten Lover) by Benilda Santos. I googled it and the poetry was so touching. :-D
