K-Drama Recommendation

1. Ești om?
Korean Drama - 2018, 36 episodes
This is my all-time favorite, and it will take something magical to dethrone this show. Everything was perfect in AYHT? The leads and supporting class did outstanding jobs, the story was heart-wrenching and leaves you on the edge of your seat nearing the climax. Character development is one of this shows strongest. The chemistry is also one of the best I've seen. I'm super biased so take this all with a grain of salt, but if you're looking for a doppelganger drama look no further.

2. Șeful Meu Timid
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
Introverted Boss is such a heartwarming, and rekindling show. It really lifts your mood as you experience such a kind theme. It's centered around the female lead misjudging the male lead and then, later on, trying to help him overcome his social anxiety while the rest of the world only laughs and criticizes him. The chemistry here is one of the purest, and even though it's nowhere near dramatic and intense as other drams on this list it more than makes up for it for what it really focuses on. If you want a warming theme with an underlying dark backstory then here it is boss. *wink*

3. Bun Venit la Waikiki!
Korean Drama - 2018, 20 episodes
THIS IS HOW YOU DO SITCOMS! TAKE NOTE PEOPLE
Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk that concludes my lecture....
No, but in all seriousness, this is really how you do sitcoms, it really does the genre justice. Laughter in Waikiki even rivals classic sitcoms in America. The main cast is filled with loveable, relatable, and beautiful characters. Comedy is probably it's the strongest area where it basically goes unrivaled among its fellow 2018 dramas. The romance is perfectly done and honestly, this show does everything a sitcom should do perfectly, and more. Bless this show.

This is really you how to do tragedy shows, and honestly, I love me some good tragic stories when they're done right. The acting is superb, the characters are magnificent with such detailed personalities. Honestly, the cast did such a good job, these were all really hard characters to act, and even though the male lead like some tiny skills it still passes with soaring colors. If you want amazing acting and an addictive, but a story then look further. Don't be surprised when the smile leaves your eyes.

5. Dragoste... fără Pată
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
Still, haven't finished this show, but it's really turning out to be a successor of Introverted Boss for me. They both share almost identical themes and plots of a CEO being incapable of social interactions for an unknown reason to the female lead. The female lead works to help him cure his mysophobia. I cannot say more since I'm not done with the show, but so far it's turning out to be a potential 10er for me.

Love Triangles are strong in the force for this one. However, don't be fooled this is actually a really revolutionary drama, being the only one to my knowledge to cover embarrassing male troubles, in relation to Korean society. Such as the male lead contracting breast cancer and then later developing other problems that bash his manly pride, this is all happening while the romance takes place. The love triangle in this show will really make you question whether the male lead will win over the female lead, it can be frustrating at times, to be honest, but I rarely like love triangles so it's a miracle I loved this one. Hopefully, other dramas aren't too Jealous.

7. W
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
This drama is just unique... Like my lord, this drama's plot is one of the most unique plots I've ever seen before. Uncharted Territory here folks! It revolves around the female lead going to her father's workplace where he draws a webtoon called "W" She mysteriously finds herself teleported into the comic world and the rest is history. This story includes a lot of world breaking, mind breaking, sanity breaking rules, and gimmicks, but it's refreshing and not too confusing if you don't sleep. Romance could use a little bit more fleshing out and seems to appear out of nowhere, but hey you're here for the plot, not the lovey-dovey kissy kissy scenes.

8. La 17 Ani
Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes
Just like Introverted Boss, this is just so heartwarming and really makes you feel happy after you finish the show. It tackles the issue of finding one's self after not really being in commission for a while. The character progression is the strongest area for this show, and it will warm your heart as you see the main leads evolve as the show continues. This is one of the few dramas where the main plot doesn't just provide a barrier for the main leads, but also supporting characters. I would rate this a 30, but I can only do a 10.

9. Școala 2017
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
I really have a hate/love relationship with school dramas. I really hate watching corrupted teachers and educational institutes, but the pay off is so worth it. Being a successor of the famous School series, School 2017 does the genre justice. With a likable main cast that teens can relate too, and learn valuable life lessons from the struggles and victories of them. The main couple is also really cute too. I can't write anymore sadly since I got to go to School.

10. Two Cops
Korean Drama - 2017, 32 episodes
I haven't finished watching this show, but I'm more than halfway through and I'm loving it. The body swap theme is really done well in this show, and both male leads are likable. The charismatic con artist and the minimal detective make an interesting duo with their contrast. I really feel bad for the female lead because a lot of the spotlight is really spent on the two male leads and she's left on the sidelines. If you want a quirky duo look no further, but if you don't like it don't call the Cops on me.
